Always my go to for some PHO :)…read more The food is always very good, and the staff is extremely professional and helpful! Love this place!

The other day, I finished trying all of the phở places I could find in Fitchburg and Leominster,…read moreand a majority of places in Worcester. I felt that it was appropriate for me to come back here and see if my (and my wife's!!) opinions on phở have changed in the past year. I actually live down the street from this place, and despite being in very close proximity I've only been here... 4 times? Located in a small strip mall right next to the N Main Street, Leominster Dunkin' Donuts, this place has been a solid fixture that I've passed by nearly every day since I could even remember anything. Google AI Overview tells me they've been open since 1998. With that said, the parking is a pain since it requires diagonal parking and little room for error when backing out. It's a shared lot between a few other businesses too, so I don't really understand how they can manage on busy days. I've only come here for dinner and the place has a nice, very dim atmosphere. This seems exactly the kind of spot to bring your partner out for a quiet dinner; I don't think I heard anyone else around us talking lol. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive but I can't help but feel disappointed that no one speaks Vietnamese; they said they were all Hmong. Anyways... Sparkling Salty Plum Drink ; this drink is always delicious in every place and this quality matches all others. and I'm always left wanting more. recommended. Gỏi Cuốn ; Vietnamese salad (or fresh) rolls. I order this at every restaurant that serves it. I have to be candid here - this is the worst one I've had out of the dozens of Asian restaurants I've eaten in. These rolls were mostly lettuce, so the crispy and watery texture is all you can taste and feel. The peanut sauce was also the most flavorless I've tried as well. For the first time ever my wife had to scoop a decent amount onto her roll just to taste something - she always dunks the teeniest tiniest corner at other places. Do. Not. Recommend. Phở Bò Viên ; this was the first phở spot I brought my wife and both of us agreed... we did not like the phở here. Have our opinions changed? Not really. The broth is very light with a delicate beef flavor. I could see myself enjoying this in the spring time if I was looking for a light lunch. As I got further in the bowl the tangy and oniony flavor really comes out and I'm left finding it unpleasant. Upon first taste before I dug in, my wife still found the broth too sour. This place also has the samn damn problem as many others: the noodles are TOO narrow and slippery and they rob most of the volume of the bowl. And you better eat it fast before it's too soggy. The meatballs here were way tougher than other phở places. Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang ; this was my wife's choice and off the bat she said this bowl is too sweet. That's actually crazy since she finds most places to be too salty and too sour. I took a sip of it and had to agree. The broth is light but has a strong seafood-forward and sweet taste. She managed to eat all of it, but she really had to alter the bowl with lime juice and Sriracha to make it palatable. Overall, we didn't particular like our last visit, and our minds haven't really changed after giving it another shot. Maybe I'll come back some other time to try the rice dishes.

I really wanted to love this place. The food is good, genuinely. You can tell the kitchen puts love…read moreinto it. But here is the problem: the owner is clearly staying in the kitchen with their head in a hole and has no idea what customers are actually experiencing. The dining room was cold. Not comfortable. Not cozy. Just cold. My wife ordered something she didn't expect and didn't like, but no one ever came by to ask how things were. No one noticed. The waiter wasn't rude. He just wasn't attentive. Out of touch, not alert, going through the motions. We sat there in an empty, cold room with pre-poured dipping sauces in little plastic cups like we were at a takeout counter. its chintzy, For $50? Really? Here is the thing people need to understand: people don't just eat out to eat. They eat out to feel better about their lives. Even if just for an hour. Even if just to escape the kitchen and the stress at home. When the service is missing, or poor, or causes more stress than it relieves, it's not worth going back. No matter how good the food is. It was slow when we were there. So, it's not like they were overwhelmed. They just weren't paying attention to the people who actually showed up. I feel for the owners. I do. Running a restaurant is brutal. But if folks like us don't come back, and we won't, you're in trouble. Because the service element is like a note which says we want you back or we could give a****. The food alone isn't enough. You have to look up from the stove once in a while and see what your customers are going through.
