1st visit, Kenny was impatient, but after his cigarette break he was better. Good pedicure with a very clean white french polish. Gel mani with white French was also good, but the edges were too sharp, so the nails chipped on almost all 10 fingers within a week. I returned 4 weeks laterer with my teen son who needed a classic pedi. Son was jumpy and ticklish, so his tech realized it was his 1st (actually 3rd in his life) and she became extra patient. Kenny on the other hand commented that it had been "long time pedicure manicure" so I corrected him it's only been a month AND that he was the last to do them. His coworkers laughed when I said 'that's why I'm here.' I asked for an iridescent pastel, or cats eye, or chrome, all of which he claimed he didn't have. He offered white again. Funny that 2/3 of the customers asked for french white. I showed him a simple colored french design, but he said "nail art guy not here today."I checked the baskets and found ALL 3 I requested-- iridescent, cats eye, AND chrome. He spoke in Vietnamese and then said it's $15 extra. I agreed, but he clearly didn't think I would, so the manager warned the color wouldn't last. Disappointed, I accepted and asked if he could shape my finger nails ballerina/coffin since they're basically chipped into that shape already. He said yes, then proceeded to overshape ilnto oval. I just accepted it and told him to do what he felt comfortable doing, and he thanked me. He butchered my nails down so there wasn't even enough freedege for french. Some nails have no gel on either side, others have too much. To ice the cake, he cut my cuticle my skin and I bled, he didn't massage or lotion my hands, and didnt offer me a sip of water or wine, despite my $130 bill. My son could tell I was upset and told me to leave a 1 star review. I will never return. read more

I walked in for a gel mani and pedi a week ago. I asked for the runners pedicure which had an extended massage but once I got the pedicure it was just rubbing lotion on my legs and feet. Probably a shorter massage than I've ever gotten on any pedicure. I my thumb chipped two days after getting my gel and 5 of my nails are already peeling. Not worth the $80 plus tip. I tried Allure for a dip manicure recently, and, unfortunately, my experience could have been better. I called ahead and was told to come at a certain time to avoid a wait, but still ended up waiting for a bit (no big deal but I was left soaking in acetone for much longer than needed to get my dip off - there was only one nail technician working and she was finishing up with someone else) and so I just pushed the bowls away to get a breather from the fumes). I also found the salon to be really dusty (it's clean except that everything in the manicure room had a thin layer of dust from shaving nails), which made me begin to cough even though I kept my mask on throughout. Usually in the past when I've gotten a dip manicure, the last layer is a clear gel layer so that they set the polish with UV light. At Allure, they used regular clear. I was their last customer for the day, and I could tell they wanted to close up. Unfortunately, that clear layer didn't even make it out the door before getting scuffed up since I needed more time to dry (I'm hopeless that way; if I go back, I'd ask if they would do the gel layer rather than regular). Allure is pretty big, but seemed understaffed (at least on a Sunday afternoon!), so the size didn't really mean that you could get in without a wait. Overall, it just wasn't as good as another option that I've tried in the neighborhood and that I'll probably stick to. read more

When people come in and assume that they should be seen immediately and told there would be a wait because the customers with appointments would be done before walk-ins, then people get an attitude. I got a mani/pedi here and it was a pleasant experience, if not drawn out a bit by the constant interruptions. I presume that the lady who was doing my feet was the manager or owner. She constantly was getting interrupted to answer the phone and the door. Then she would bother other technicians to rush them to take other people. Once I sat with the only male technician I saw in the shop, things seemed to be smooth sailing. He was pleasant and did a great job on my fingernails. I only had two complaints...complaint number one- the manager kept interrupting him to hurry and finish so he could do someone else's nails (he promptly shooed her away and continued to take his time, completely ignoring her), and complaint number two- he didn't clean the top coat from under my nails so it feels like my skin is stuck to my nails. The nail techs don't clean their tools between clients. One tech just swished the cuticle clippers and stuff in the dirty pedicure water, then put them in the cart for the next tech who started using them. My tech at least rinsed them in clean water. Regardless, they absolutely should be autoclaving them! It's against health regulations not to. My pedicure at least looked nice, my friend's gel had really spotty and uneven coverage, and was messy around the edges. read more

Whatever you do don't let the guy do your nails. I did the dip powder and not only did it take nearly 2 hours but there was polish all over my skin. He put so many coats (not in the proper order) so messily that my nails were sticking to the skin under my nails. He messed up my ring finger but I had to leave because I had been there so long. He knew it was bad because he charged me $35 instead of $40. Unfortunatly that won't cut it. Worst mani and $$ out the window. Never going back. read more

I may have had the worst service ever for a pedicure. I specifically told the tech that I had diabetes that my feet were extra sensitive to be pretty careful not to cut me and not to touch the bottom of my feet because again they're very sensitive. Not only did he nick my toe but he kept wanting to go back to the bottom of my feet no matter how many times I said not to. None of my nails are cut even. Then he proceeded to put my under armor flip-flops back on before he painted My nails. My toes are not clearly visible in my sandals at which point I was through got up and left. I hate to be the type of person who has only left a negative review, but please, for the love of your nails, do not go here! I decided to give this place a try because I was getting tired of the lack of parking at my regular place. I get a gel manicure (natural nails) every two weeks. Here are my two cents. Sure, there is tons of free parking and yes, the place looks nice, but that is where the positive remarks end. - I didn't have an appointment, but was quoted a 30 minute wait and ended up waiting over 45 minutes. Fine- I'll run to the grocery store/check my emails/browse Instagram - When it is finally my turn, the nail tech, Helen, does not change the towel at the station. I can see the cuticle clippings lying there! I visibly cringe and she asks what is wrong. I say, "I'd like a fresh towel" and she laughs and proceeds to fold it over (I'm dying inside) - I see an autoclave in the place (a must!), but she furtively pulls her tools from off her lap (what?!) - as she is pushing my cuticles, she asks if I want a "cut." Thinking she means my nails, I say, "no thanks, just a file." I guess she thought I meant "don't cut my cuticles" (inner self is secretly relieved- see note about "sterilized tools") - maybe I'm not up on how to polish nails, but Helen literally paints one nail at a time and has me stick my hand under the light after each polish. It gets better. While I'm under the light, she proceeds to EAT A BAGEL. No hand washing, no gloves, just digs in! (I'm literally dead inside) - my nails are finally finished. She smacks on some lotion and tells me I'm "done." I'm not a nail tech, but aren't you supposed to wipe gel nails down with alcohol to remove the sticky residue? The only plus- since I didn't get a "cut" (read: cuticle trim?) I was charged $25 rather than $35. Out of habit, I left her what I normally tip- $10. I think I had blacked out at this point. I'd literally rather let my dog do my nails than go back to this place. read more

Allure nail bar is a complete joke! I usually never engage in writing a complaint on sites however, I feel compelled to warn everyone before you head over to this nightmare. My sister and I enjoy meeting up to pamper ourselves. Needless to say this place turned a fun night of pampering into the worst pedicure ever. First off it initially took the staff 15-20 minutes to tend to us even though no one was sitting in the 24 seated room for pedicures. That should've been the first sign to get the heck out of there. Next up the staff insisted for my sis and I to pay for a service that we did not ask for. We repeatedly stated that we were not interested in the additional services. We gave into the nonsense as it was only $10 more but this was our first time there so we were not interested in additional services. After the nail tech cut my toe nails so low, jabbed all of my toe nails until some blood came out, dropped several of her tools on the ground and attempted to proceed at cleaning my feet with dirty tools, she scorched my leg with water that felt as if it was 200 degrees. I yelled "what in the hell" OUCH as steam is coming from my leg and I immediately got a huge red mark to show proof. This chick never apologized and actually applied hot towels directly on my legs after she scorched them. Lastly, my sis and I received the sloppiest coat of polish and she starred at me while waiting for a tip. I have a tip for this crap hole! Whichever school that taught you how to become a nail tech should be closed down. Also, learn how to engage in customer service while dealing with the public. You can not hurt and scorch your customers while treating them like crap and expect for them to come back. Good luck to this establishment and to your hands and feet if you decide to give this place a chance. I am not one to write a review but I feel compelled to warn potential clients. I just left Allure Nail Bar and feel p f annoyed. Like what did I just spend $36 (39$ after what I felt was too generous of a tip) on?!! My nail tech set the stage early on in our interaction when he caught the skin on 4 out of 5 fingers on the first hand he began working on. I get gel manicures - and am familiar with the occasional knick from the removal process, but 4 out of 5 and sometimes more than once on certain fingers just had me feeling like... 'dude you're not very good at this.' So very early on I'm feeling a lack of trust in what is usually a very straight forward process. Moves on to the second hand, same thing. I am reacting too, and no response from nail tech like this is some kind of tough-love experiment. Powder gets applied and it's time for the second round of that motorized sanding thing. I'm scared - as it turns out I have every right to be because it happens again! This time with blood. Awesome. And what does nail tech do? Effing nothing. He doesn't even look up at me in shrug like 'my bad.' Come on! There's blood! Now onto polish application. I'm feeling good about this - he's already cleaned up some sloppy bits which I really appreciate. He starts with my right hand and moves along just fine. Phew, made it to the end and the color is p good so I'm feel proud. Right hand gets top coat applied and is in the dryer - left hand comes out and I guess doesn't get a top coat like it's twin. I comment on this to nail tech - he tells me we did do a top coat but I can tell he doubts himself. I can't be bothered to like...Demand a top coat?? So I just resign to rewriting my own memory of the last 2 minutes to get myself out of there, and onto Yelp, apparently. So now I am sitting at home rethinking my whole self-care routine with stinging cuticles and $39 fewer dollars. Nails are the one thing I indulge in letting someone else do for me, the gel is good for my work environment and it helps me feel more put together. The good part about all of this is that my nails still look p good, good color, good shape. But I won't be going back, no chance. Also they got a whole lot of chairs for so few employees. Update! Nails were done on a Friday. On Sunday, my left middle fingers second layer of color peeled off at the top, and the index finger began chipping. I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews....but I'm still giving 5 stars because I have had a very good experience. I came here a few months ago and asked for a mani-pedi, and for the pedi I asked for the "runners" pedicure. The girl accidentally gave me a regular pedicure, and didn't realize it until she was nearly done. At that point she gave me the correct one, but we ran out of time to do the manicure. They gave me a gift certificate for the amount I'd already paid for the manicure (and put more on the gift certificate than I'd paid). The important part: I came back today and let them know what had happened before hand so they'd make sure it didn't happen again. They've been extremely accommodating and have done everything they can to make things right for me. From the start they told me they'd be giving me 10% off today, she offered for me to choose any color (even gel), and treated me very nicely. The girl I got was wonderful! She took her time and really made sure I was satisfied. I'm a big believer in giving second chances, and basing my true impression on the second chance if something went wrong the first time. You have to give places a chance to make things right, and these ladies did a wonderful job. Destiny is who did my pedicure this time and she was awesome, it's done very well. I have been in the spa when customers have left complaining and figured,yes I see their concerns, but I kept going back because of the convenience. I live not too far. I went to Allure Nail Bar and had the worst experience! I went in for a simple fill in and gel polish...I should have gone elsewhere. I was "greeted" by a rude woman who seemed not to want to do the work in the first place. She showed me to her work station and my first impression was that the surface looked unclean with dust, polish and the remnants of the acrylic from other clients. She did not sanitize anything that I observed. She also reused a square of paper towel that looked as if it had been used for many other clients. How much can a square of paper towel cost? She also reused makeup sponges that were falling apart to apply a "chrome" finish that turned out disastrous and bubbly on my nails. When asked if this is how it should look, she removed the polish with a terrible attitude and applied polish that lasted a total of 3 days before it chipped and peeled. I stopped in to see if the owners would honor the 43.00 that this service cost, to no avail. I was told that they would repair the chipped nails with the same polish they used previously and if it peeled again, then they would redo the service. I am terribly disappointed with this salon and would not recommend sending my worst enemy here. The woman is rude, sloppy and discourteous! How are you the only one on a holiday? I was willing to wait because I was desperate but she did not even offer she said she had a client and did not have time. I have continued to be happy with my manicures and the staff here. I was concerned that my great luck with manicures would not last. But it has. I can depend on a gel manicure to last between 2 and closer to 3 weeks. Once I went in and Destiny said I didn't need a manicure yet - I just went because it had been 2 weeks. She was right! So I went shopping in Hampden instead and came back in a week for my manicure. Where does this happen?? The wait is not long but I usually call ahead to get appointment with Destiny. She is so cute and makes me laugh. Not to mention being a great manicurist The salon is very roomy and comfortable with new magazines to read although I don't get much time to read. I gave this salon three tries, because its relatively close to my home. The first time, my nails were far too thin and broke within days. The second time, i requested more acrylic however the entire nail wasnt covered. After the third time I wont be back. The last time I went, a state inspector had come through and he determined that one of the nail techs was not licensed. The woman he was claiming to be unlicensed had literally just finished working on someone before he had walked in. When he walked in, she ran out and wouldnt come back until he left. He cited them and the owner tried to act like she didnt know what/who he was referring to. He even told her that he had canvassed the front and saw the woman working. I pointed and asked the gentleman for the $30. Everything was fine, good pedicure, but when I went to pay they charged me an extra $5. They said for callus remover. I said I was never asked to have that done so they shouldn't charge me. They kept insisting it would be $35 and wouldn't budge. Paying with a gift certificate I couldn't refuse to pay it. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are new and clean! I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. I was very happy with the outcome of both! It was exactly what I wanted. Their covid precautions made me feel very comfortable. The interior is spacious, and they have plastic partitions in between the nail booths. I recommend this place! read more
