I just had my second appointment today and I was wowed once again! I came in 4 weeks ago with 7/10 nails left from the dip manicure that I got from somewhere else. When I was on the phone making an appointment, they were so polite and didn't mind my broken nails. Some places give me a little attitude about it, but I'm a chronic nail breaker. I got an appointment the same day I called. When I came in, I immediately noticed how clean and welcoming the salon is. If you're looking for a relaxing salon, this is it!! Kathy took one look at my messed up nails and assured me up front that I had nothing to worry about- she guaranteed that her set would last and I wouldn't have to worry about breaking or lifting. She did a phenomenal job and they lasted 4 weeks with no breaking OR lifting. I have before and after pictures of my first set and a picture of what I got today! I will be a loyal customer here for a long time! I have never been to a salon as clean, calm, and POLITE. It's so comforting knowing that I don't have to be hesitant when asking for what I want. Serenity Nails is the strangest nail salon I have ever visited. There are no walk ins EVER. You can ask for an appointment and maybe Lin will contact you back or maybe she won't. Lin does beautiful work and some of her prices are ridiculously low ($50 for a full hard gel manicure which takes her 1 1/2 hours to do). Generally the salon is mostly empty. The salon is very clean and neat with peaceful music. I don't understand how her business model works. read more

No walk ins. Two stars for cute, appears clean and in a nice little complex with some fun shops. That's said, two of us walked in, she looked us up and down and said we can take only one. We said okay, we can come back later -what time can you take two? Nothing on our agenda at all, easy and flexible. Today, again the looks, we only take one. No one in the place, and it was 11am. Not apologetic, no offer of a later day or time in the week, just didn't want/or need? The business. I had an unfortunate experience. I was hoping to make this place my new nail home & was excited to try because of the reviews but I am disappointed. I came in asking for dipping powder manicure and a pedicure. I was not asked which type of pedicure they assumed I wanted a basic and didn't give me any other choice. For my nails He tried to say I got coffen nails after I asked to file the sides. At the end of manicure he tells me I'm finished and he (Alex) puts his stuff away. I ask about my cuticles which are visibly struggling and he says "that's extra" like ok ask me if I want it before assuming I don't. At that point I felt disrespected and just decided to leave. Serenity if the perfect addition to Mt. washington. The staff are very friendly, the location is very clean and convenient. The owner is super sweet and was able to accommodate for my boyfriend and I to come in and get services. The pedicure was really relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend this establishment if you are in the area. I feel like their prices are really reasonable as well. I do feel like the pedicure was really fast and could have been a little less rushed. read more

Was really excited to try out a nail salon close to home. I was sorely disappointed. I went for a manicure and they didn't even do any cuticle/dead skin maintenance. The shapes of my nails are all different and jagged. It's been a few hours and I already have scratches and top coat is flaking off. Usually I got at least two weeks without seeing any damage. They didn't do enough coats. Waste of $50 for a dip manicure. Won't be going back unless I'm desperate. read more

Ambiance: The place is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking. Service: The staff is polite, and provided service on time. It's a small establishment in terms of staffing, so you feel like you're getting directed attention. My gel mani was 'lifting' while I am traveling for 4 weeks. I just needed to get a gel removal and fresh coat. The technician provided guidance on color selection and got me out of there in just short of an hour. Easy. Made an appointment for two pedicures. We arrived on time. When we entered and checked in, the woman said she cannot honor the appointment because she's the only one working and she already has a customer. The least they can do is call customers ahead of time if they are short-staffed and not able to accommodate the appointment. Very disappointed and will never return. read more

I was struggling with some poorly applied (at a different salon) acrylic overlays, so Mei Mei gently removed them and gave me a beautiful gel manicure on my natural nails. The salon was clean, well lit and played calming music. They have an excellent selection of nail colors from great brands. I had no trouble choosing the perfect colour. Roger did my first ever acrylic nails and he is just wonderful. Very precise and delicate techniques. He made me and my hands feel well taken care of. this place is tastefully decorated, but there customer relations need to major redo. I had been given a 10 AM appointment and arrived right on time. I sat there for 15 minutes before I asked how long it was going to be. There were two technicians working with other women. I was told it would be at least 15 more minutes because the person was i"stuck in traffic". I am not waiting for more than a half hour for an appointment and if indeed, there was a traffic issue, they had my phone number to ask me if that would be OK in which case I may or may not have been able to adjust my schedule. I left and will not go back. My time is as important as theirs. read more

My mom and I went to this salon for the first time and we had a wonderful experience! I called ahead to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was so warm and friendly! Once I walked in the salon I was happy with how clean and calming the atmosphere was. It honestly gave the vibe of a spa. The service I booked was a pedicure. The attention to detail was phenomenal. Usually when other salons do a scrub it's for 10 seconds and that's it, but not this one! I felt like I had new legs afterwards!!!! And same goes for the lotion and massage!!! Their color selection was wonderful too! I got my nails done somewhere else and they were SNS but the technician took some time to help me find a good match when I wasn't happy with the one I picked. It is peaceful, beautiful, and meticulously clean - every client has their own toolbox with files and buffers, and all metal tools arrive at the work table or pedicure chair sterilized, and in a sealed bag. The manicure stations and incredible pedicure /massage chairs are top of the line, and the staff is highly skilled at everything from the perfect Spa mani/pedi, to gel, specialty manicures like gel powders and "dip" manicures. There are always refreshments, and most importantly the attitude of the owner and staff is always courteous, completely professional and extremely friendly. First visit to this salon. Technician was not very friendly as I compared how other patrons to the salon who were greeted with smiles and kind words. Regulars, or am I too brown? She neglected to try to find a color more closely matching my nails and toes. I didn't really notice until later. I always recommend good places to my friends. The gel manicure barely lasted a week and it appeared to have smudged off in certain areas(I'm assuming from not letting each layer set long enough?) Prior to it peeling off.
