So happy to have found this company. I searched for months to get a technician for my old school HP color laser printer ~10 years old. And finally found a place that was rather close and responsive. After a welcoming call from to the agent, they said a technician would come out the next day. Steve shows up this morning and I told him what had happened with duplex printing. untruthful response Machine returned with broken motherboard and broken screen, and corner broken. Fuser fixed but technician did not reprogram as required by Xerox. Had to have certified technician and Xerox reprogram. Alltech technician was incapable of programming correctly per Xerox. Terrible service. Abusive billing practices. Worst service from any repair service for Xerox in 45 years. Stop whining and admit your tech is bumbling and totally incapable of programming a Xerox after he broke the Motherboard. Machine was returned with another "used" motherboard with a different serial number which voided all Xerox warranties. Terrible service. read more

They fixed my printer. The technician knows his stuffs, but when he is in doubt, I saw him calling his internal support line who knows more, so it seems to me that this company is well structured and they cooperate well to deliver good service. It's a flat rate with 30 days warranty, plus they charge a location-based travel fee each time. So it's best if they can fix it on the first trip. But sometimes it's hard to guarantee that what he tried will be successful, such as in my case, my printer jam for unknown reasons, and can't always reliably replicate the problem on site. My technician wanted to fix my printer as much as i do, and i learned a lot about printers from him. Initially he tried to replace the roller (which he said is a more common problem), which i honestly thought is a bit expensive because that's kind of an easy task that I could have done myself if I had known some basics, and i also have to pay a lot for the parts. (Although it didn't work, i guess it make sense to try the easy thing first). He thought he has done his jobs and I already paid. I would have to test it in the following days and i would call them to come again if that didn't fix the jamming problem. However, we were really lucky that it turned out immediately that it didn't fix it. The technician was happy to see it right then, and they figured out it's a sticky solenoid problem. Turns out he has to do a lot more non-trivial work. He spent much longer but he was very happy that he was eventually able to fix that on the first trip, and based on their charging standard, he didn't charge me any extra for all the difficult works which actually solved the problems. If it had been a roller problem, i guess i could have a chance of diagnosing that myself and do it very cheap; but given the actually difficulty of the real problem, there's no chance I could have done anything myself, so I really appreciate my technician and his company support line's knowledge, experience and skills. read more

Wow! Great Christmas present. Called a few places, but this lady on the phone asked me what was wrong. I told her drum unit sign was flashing. She then proceeded to tell me all I needed to do was reset drum unit. Saved me the time and money of taking printer in. The people at All Tech know their printers. They fixed my printer, an elderly HP 1320tn (from the 90s). I'm very happy with their work. It was a little pricey, but after trying to price it out with others, the prices were comparable to other places, but they had better Yelp ratings. LOL! I love that their work and parts have a warranty. One fix was not completed the first time, so I called them and they said bring it right back, it's all covered on the warranty for the first examination. Their staff is friendly and capable. AllTech Repair Review When our HP color laser printer would no longer print magenta I called a few local repair places. Two of them, including AllTech Imaging Technologies said it likely just needed a good cleaning. We decided to try All Tech as they offered in home service for a reasonable fee. The representative I spoke with on the phone told me they would do a thorough cleaning of the machine and a 16 point inspection. The tech arrived on time and started his troubleshooting, checking to make sure the machine was calibrated correctly via the built in menus. He then used a portable vacuum to clean out the accumulated excess toner from the cartridge bay. He did not take apart the machine to do more than a superficial cleaning before calling another tech and telling us the laser scanner is bad and needed replacement. We inquired about getting a new, comparable machine through AllTech and he said the office would get back with us with a repair estimate and cost of a new machine as well. The estimate for the repair came back with a new laser scanner and not option on the cost of a new machine. Since Alltech had to order the part and we would be without the printer for a few days, we took it to Printer Repair Depot, a shop we have used before and had good experiences with. Over the phone the tech at Printer Repair Depot was almost certain that it only needed a thorough cleaning to get it working again, saying this was a common problem with this type of machine. They did a thorough cleaning of not just the cartridge bay but took the laser scanner apart to clean the scanner bed as well. They told me they disassemble the machine in order to get to the parts that need cleaning, something that the tech from All Tech did not do before telling us we needed a new laser scanner. All Tech did nothing more than run the built in diagnostic programs on the machine and do some superficial cleaning and then telling us we needed new parts at additional cost. I would not use AllTech again or recommend them as they did not do the promised 16 point inspection or thorough cleaning of the machine as promised and more importantly tried to charge us for parts that were not needed after not doing the job correctly in the first place. read more

Used their services for the first time just a couple of days ago. The pricing was very reasonable and they even give a 90 day warranty. They replaced the imaging unit in my printer and cleaned the printer as well. I also had a problem with printing from the manual tray. Turns out that was due to owner stupidity. When printing to "manual" it would only spit out one check at a time and then ask to have more paper fed. I was convinced the sensor was on the blink. Found out I should have been using "multipurpose" tray setting instead. read more

My previous Copier repair company refused to service my older Copier and insisted that I buy a new one. As I use my machine for convenience for my employees rather than high production I only had just over 3K copies on it over the six years I owned it. I felt that the copier still had a lot of life left in it and so I shopped around. When I spoke with the AllTech Service Manager he let me know that my Copier was rated for 2.5 million copies. "Wow!" I said "What about Parts?" he let me know that they were able to provide both service and parts. They came to my Business the next day and gave their inspection and cleaning (They were here for a over 2hrs and Charged me for only 1hr (they call it fixed rate.) Then they emailed me a parts estimate and when they returned they installed all the parts under the same labor cost. My Copier was cleaned so well it looks brand new. the technician even scrubbed the shell with a kitchen scrubber! After paying for my Copier for 5 years I was glad to see there was a company in San Diego that would service it. I will always use and always recommend this company. We needed someone desperately to come fix our printer to meet a deadline that we had. I wasn't expecting to get someone out the same day but was surprised! The price was great and I didn't have to worry about having someone who was getting paid by the hour to take their time. At the recommendation of Steve from CalTech computers who has done great work for me, I contacted Alltech to fix my HP printer. I dropped it off on a Friday and got a call the following Monday. I was given the impression that the repair simply involved new cartridges, although the printer screen usually lets me know if I need new cartridges. Over the next week I received a couple of invoices for cartidges. I called and talked to a tech who assured me these were the same cartridges I could buy at Costco. I figured since they had the printer they might as well put them in. A week after I had dropped off the printer it was still not ready to pick up. I notified them that I would be out of town for a week. I was assured it would be ready when I got back. Indeed it was. When I got home I was shocked to see a bill for $281.74. Since the multiple invoices I received (all but one duplicates of each other) were all under $100, I was shocked. I could have bought two HP printers at Costco for less than that. Looking back, it seems to me that their communication was lacking. Since it was the first time I have had to have a printer repaired I was inexperienced. I would have appreciated some notification that the repair cost was greater than what I paid for the printer. Good printers seem to be available everywhere for under $150. read more
