I was worried about having to buy a brand new printer but Jose was able to fix my almost 10 year old printer for a decent price!! This place is very responsive and the people are very kind and helpful. read more

I don't post a lot of reviews, but my recent experience with Printer Repair Depot was so great I had to give them a shout out. Although it took them a little longer to complete the repair than anticipated, I expected that they would tell me I needed a new fuser or some other replacement part (that's what the initial guess was). But no, they came back to report it only needed a good cleaning. These guys are honest and a good company. I rate them highly. read more

Had older (outdated) personal scanner for home office needing repair. Delivered scanner to office (already knowing replacement parts were required) and was given a timeline for repair based on availability of replacement parts. Printer Repair Depot ordered/received the parts and (surprisingly and gladly) my scanner was repaired and ready for pickup within days. Excellent service and fair/competitive pricing. Certainly recommended for anyone requiring such services. read more

I have met Rafael today. He was a wonderful person to approach. I am looking forward to getting my Canon MPX fixed soon. I will update my review once I pick up my printer. read more

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 and I got the message that the printhead appeared to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed. After wasting about a half an hour of my time on a frustrating AI phone call with HP, I hung up and googled "Where can I get my printer fixed in San Diego?" Printer Repair Depot came up, and because I didn't relish the thought of having to lug that heavy printer anywhere (I am not a spring chicken), I decided to call them in advance just to make sure it would be worth it. I spoke to a very nice guy named Joe. He told me that HP no longer manufactures those printheads, and that it used to be an easy $299 fix out the door getting you a new printhead installed with four ink cartridges. I told him maybe I should check online and see if I can find someone that has a printhead for sale and he very honestly said he thought that was a good idea, but couldn't officially recommend it. Sure enough, on Amazon.com, I was able to get a new printer with four extra large ink cartridges delivered the very next day and I installed it in five minutes with no problems. I have a happy printer now, but I promised Joe that if I ever needed further assistance, I would definitely go to Printer Repair Depot and that I would strongly recommend these guys to anybody who needs help with their printer. read more

These guys always knock it out of the park! We have multiple printer brands at my business and Joe & his team always keeps us up & running! They also supply toners at the best price around. Don't toss you printer in the trash, call Printer Repair Depot to get you back in business quick! Thank you for the excellent service! read more

Just to get a printer diagnostic take 5 business days and costs $26! Who has such a timeline? This place is very busy and the staff acts arrogant. Won't recommend or use again read more

Customer service is great, very friendly, helpful, very reasonably priced repairs, and very knowledgeable about various printers! My HP OfficeJet printer was not feeding paper properly and they were able to fix it. I could not have replaced this printer with a comparable model for the cost of the repair. I highly recommend Printer Repair Depot!! read more

Everything , great service and price. Got my twenty year old laser printer up and operating like new.

Super honest dude. $25 is very reasonable for diagnostics. I opted not to fix my printer based on his experience. I appreciate not having my time or money wasted. Highly recommended! read more

I came to Printer Repair Depot for an old printer that wouldn't work after a paper jam. My computer guy recommended them. They cleaned my printer and now it works fine; and they didn't charge me for it. Dan even helped me bring my printer from my car and back when it was finished. read more

I have been bringing our printers and our client's printers to Printer Repair Depot for several DECADES. I am glad to see such a great rating on Yelp. They deserve it! My IT company, Sage IT Systems, gets all of our printers repaired by this great outfit! Thanks again for delivering such consistent expertise over the years and still charging reasonable rates for your service. Highly recommended!! read more

I am so happy I found these guys. My printer stopped working and after trying to fix it with YouTube videos and Google help, I brought it here. They took only $20 for diagnostic and in three days I received a call that my printer is back to work. My total cost was only $50 which is nothing compared to its full cost. Friendly and kind service and welcoming atmosphere. I already told all my friends about it, and suggest you too. read more

Printer Repair Depot - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - San Diego, California

My old Epson Stylus Pro 3880 served me well for over 14 years. But when it started leaking black ink, I discovered after calling around greater San Diego that Printer Repair Depot was the ONLY local repair facility that would work on it. Unfortunately, they discovered that Epson no longer has parts available for repair, and their searches elsewhere, like Ebay, yielded nothing. So, after opening up the machine and working through inky, gummed parts, there was no labor charge, except the the initial charge of $20 when I left the printer. Since "the patient died," as they said, the charge was used to recycle the dead printer. I did have to call them to get updates on the status, but their work seemed diligent. read more

I feel lucky to have found this place. Though I had to drive a bit to get there, they were friendly, professional, and got my printer fixed in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price. They are a big asset to the community if you have printer service needs. read more

The reviews are true. This place is fast and awesome. Brought my printer in yesterday at 0800, and since they had the part in stock, it was ready by mid-afternoon. Our family business runs from home, our kids need to print out school work etc. It was great to only be out our printer for less than a day. Rafael was super helpful, provided accurate pricing estimates, and helped me get our printer mini-beast in and out of the car. I highly recommend this place to help you avoid headaches and keep your printer humming. Thanks! read more

My HP printer gave a "Printhead" error. (HP Officejet Pro 8610) After searching YELP for a place to go. I found this company. I took it here and was told it could take 7 days before I got it back since they had to order the part. I received call back in 3 days to inform me that my printer was cleaned, new part installed, and ready to pick up. They are a wonderful and friendly team there. I highly recommend them. read more

This company needs a lesson in customer service and how to do proper work. I have two experiences on different items and both times service was subpar. I hate leaving bad reviews, but the owner should have some idea of the customer's side. The first time I brought my roomba in to get repaired. The issue ended up being the motherboard so it couldn't be repaired without a major repair cost. I'm not leaving a bad review on that. The issue was I didn't hear from them for over a week after I dropped it off. And I had to call multiple times to get any sort of update. Most times when I called the guy I spoke to had no idea of the status and couldn't give me a status report even after many hours of waiting for one. The second time I brought my printer in because it wasn't printing black. I explained the problem and this time the customer service was better. I got a call after 2 days and the guy explained the problem, said he fixed it and how to keep it fixed going forward. The problem was when I brought it home, it had the exact same problem!! I call the guy to tell him i'm having the same problem as when I brought it in and he tells me to bring it in again for him to look at. I mean... That's pretty good. All in all, I'd recommend finding a different place to get electronics fixed. Hopefully the 'Printer Repair Depot' is better at fixing printers other than my own. read more

I paid for diagnostic repairs recommended by Brothers USA to take my multi-function printer here. I found out after calling a number of times that there was nothing wrong with the printer. I had to call Brothers again to get the printer connected again. It took numerous phone calls at Printer Repair to tell me that their was no need for repair. Needless to say I felt cheated out of the diagnostic costs. Looks like the time to bring in and take back home was just a waste of time. read more

I called them to get a quote after having printer issues on my officejet, the gentlemen who answered the phone was able to diagnose the issue and was honest about the price of parts not being worth the fix, so I decided to replace the entire printer with a new one. He could have had me drive all the way there which would have wasted time so my review is based on the professionalism, politeness, and honesty will use them in the future if needed read more

Fast affordable repair. Fixed my 5-year-old laser printer and cleaned it so well it looked brand-new!

First time I called, they came right out, did a great job. Second time, the guy answering the phone was so over the top rude, they lost a repeat customer. That was today, March 8, 2021 in case you're looking at Printer Repair Depot. I'm calling to give you money, maybe act like it? it is a SERVICE business. read more

Great service. Well from what I gathered lol. I took my printer in to get checked out bc it wouldn't print obviously. I think that was on a Thursday after. I called Tuesday to see if it was ready for pickup he asked me to give him one more day. The next morning he called said it was ready and he couldn't find anything wrong with my printer. It's was the ink cartridge that was busted. So I brought a new one and I've been good ever since read more

I had a Brother MFC-J6935DW printer repaired. The printer has been working great a month or so after the repairs. It needed a main PCB because it randomly powered on by itself. Since the board was expensive, they told me the printer would be fine without spending that much on it. I appreciate that they weren't trying to take my money. I elected to have them perform the elective surgery anyway because the repair was covered by a Squaretrade warranty. read more

Very prompt, efficient service and they fixed the problem! Saved me from buying another printer! I appreciate not having to put a printer in the landfill! read more

Called for a quote and the guy was very knowledgeable and suggested that repair probably wasn't the best option. Didn't end up using their services but I appreciate their expertise and honesty. It's like the opposite of talking to a mechanic. read more

Amazing service! Dan had someone pick up my printer when I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on, fixed the problem I had caused, and delivered it back for me to pick up in Encinitas promptly. My printer wouldn't turn on because I had inserted the CD tray in the wrong place. I offered to pay another service fee, and he waved it. What a GREAT act of kindness. Thanks, Printer Repair Depot Crew! read more

I have them a printer I had no idea what to do with and they fixed it within a couple of days for $40. Saved me a lot of headaches so I would highly recommend it. My only recommendation would be to be more flexible with your hours. Maybe stay open on Saturday mornings? Other than that, awesome job! read more

I've been taking my older model brother printer here lately and I have to say, I'm very happy. The guys are always very helpful, they fix the issues and don't up charge or add hidden cost. This last time I took my printer here I found out I had to replace the drum unit and right now with me being in school full time I just don't have the extra funds. The guys were so nice they fixed it for me to be able to use it for a while longer and save up to either fix it or buy a new one. Def should come and get your printers fixed here. I prefer them over any other place I've taken any electronics to ( including frys) read more

Fixed my HP printer. Cost ~$50 ($20 up front to diagnose, ~$30 at pickup if it is fixed). Only took less than 1 business day to fix it, though I was expecting 3-4 business days. Much cheaper than buying the same printer at ~$80 (used) - ~$200 (new), and faster too. Works great. read more

UPDATE: I've had to go to this place 4x this past year - my printer finally died but each and every time, these guys were great! I have to drive in from North County, but I'm a loyal customer and won't be going anywhere else. Dropped off older HP inkjet to get ink head cleaning / done and picked up 2 days later! Quick, prompt service at reasonable price. Highly recommend - Awesome service! read more

Everyone told me to throw away my printer and just buy a new one at Costco. I am crazy granola. I will not throw away anything I can't recycle or repair. My neighborhood computer-PC guru recommended these guys while at the same time suggesting I get rid of my printer, lol! They repaired my sheet-feeder in 2 days for less than the price of a new printer, including time to order the part. And the repair came with a 90 day guarantee to boot. Excellent customer service - they called to leave a VM for the estimate once they detected the problem and another when the job was done. The facility was immaculate, not exactly what you might expect of a repair shop. I could see into the back room and it was tightly organized and no-one was slacking. The repairman appeared older which=experienced IMHO. They repair many many things besides printers, including ROOMBAS! If mine ever glitches, I now know exactly where to go! read more

Professional, knowledgeable, timely and most importantly...reasonable service fees! After reading other comments about this place, I took my older ink jet printer in for cleaning due to black smudges on printed pages. A few days later they called to say it was ready and would charge me $40. What a deal and the printer works great with no extraneous marks on the page. Thanks Dan. Highly recommend this business for your tech services. read more

My $350 printer is now nearly a $400 printer because of a $.20 screw... Oh vey. I blame Murphy on this one! Thanks the the folks at PRD though, I'll take the $40 labor charge over having to replace what I've lovingly named "the beast." Not only did they repair it for a reasonable price, they helped load the giant printer back into the back seat of my mini. I'm hoping I don't drop another screw into my printer, but I'm glad to know these guys are just up the road to help me through my next disaster! read more
