DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!! If you are in a situation that I was in (TV starts to malfunction and expired warranty), then you are most likely questioning: is it worth fixing versus buying a new TV? I came across Digital Television Repair's Yelp page and read all the positive reviews. I decided to reach out and get a quote. I received a friendly call from Jose shortly after leaving a message, and I was explained to him what was going on with my TV (my screen started to go dark), and he explained to me it may be the bulbs and that he would need to look at it to confirm. I brought it in the next day and we went over the issue in-person and told me he definitely could fix it. He quoted me the price and it was very reasonable, especially since it was a tiny fraction for what I purchased the TV for. He said it would take about a week or so to repair, since he had to order the parts. And even better news - I received a call from Jose in less than a week telling me my TV was fixed and ready for pickup. When I went to pick it up, Jose made sure to walk me through everything and show me it was working, which I appreciated very much. And they provide a 90 day warranty for the work they've done. If you or anyone is needing a TV repair and want fair pricing, then contact Jose at Digital Television Repair! read more

My 25 year old Samsung HDTV was turning off and on until warming up. Jose reconditioned my power supply and I'm grateful he convinced me to fix it instead of buying a new TV. As he told me, "They don't make them like this anymore." He responded within hours, and fixed it within one day at a fair price. Decades of experience and integrity, who could ask for anything more. My compliments Jose! read more

My 43" TCL Roku tv's screen turned black and I contacted Digital Television Repair to fix it. They provided a reasonable quote and took the tv in to diagnose. I received a call stating they'd have to buy a specific back light and within a week they called back stating it was fixed. Fast, efficient, and affordable! Would definitely recommend for tv fixes. read more

I'm so happy I found Jose. My tv backlight went out and other places quoted $200-300+, even told me i'm better off getting a new tv but Jose quoted me $170 including labor. Made an appointment a few days later on a Saturday morning. Dropped it off and within 1 hour he called to confirm it WAS the backlight and that he didn't have one for my model so he would order it and it would take about a week Then he called back shortly after that he found the part and it would be done same day. It was ready like 30 min later. Literally only took 2 hours from drop off to pick up and i had a fixed tv. Incredible service and price. He has a 2 month warranty but said if anything else goes wrong within 6 months just bring it back. Highly recommend him for any tv repairs/estimates he's a great guy! read more

Digital Television Repair - fixed my backlight for $170 within 2 hours - Electronics Repair Near Me - La Mesa, California

I took my 65-inch JVC flatscreen TV to Jose when I could not get it to turn on. He quickly diagnosed it as having a failed backlight. The price for replacing it would be equal to or less than a brand new TV of the same size so I opted to skip the repair. I felt Jose was honest and honorable. He was also very quick to answer my calls. I recommend Digital Television Repair and Jose to anyone having a problem with their televisions. read more

I just purchased this TV and found a big purple spot on the left side. Called around and found the easiest and best choice was to bring my TV here, to have Jose repair it. I'd say he offered fair pricing and he got the work done in less than 24 hours. I appreciate you, Jose. I would highly recommend this business. read more

Jose was fantastic. Was very responsive, knew exactly what the problem was, gave a reasonable price, a did the job on time and on budget, and even came out on a Sunday to reinstall my 75" panel TV. You won't regret dealing with Jose. He should be your first and only call. read more

I went to Jose after trying to fix my TV on my own, by watching YouTube videos. It was a fun science experience, but I should have saved time and money by first bringing my TV to Jose. Jose is responsive, and reasonably priced, meaning you can get your TV in and evaluated quick, which is important during these Covid-19 times where my entire family is watching way to much TV + Xbox. Thank you for all your help on my TV. You have a dedicated customer, as well as open referrals to my friends. read more

We brought our Samsung frame tv here and Jose was able to fix it at a good price. Great experience, and nice guy too! Would recommend to anyone read more

Excellent service. Was clear with communication and very accurate timing - he even finished it early! Reliable and trustworthy.

Good price, good communication, good work. TV works like new now. Highly recommended.

Jose was very professional and gave me great price to replace bulbs that went out. Had a little mix up with my number on calling telling me tv repaired but when I finally took it upon myself to call I totally understood things happen. He's very honest and gives you the choice on if you want to repair tv or buy a new one. Also gives you a 90 day warranty on any work done. Only accepts cash. read more

Contacted Jose for consultation. Described the issue I was experiencing and researched online possible solutions. Jose came out to pick up the tv. Very polite and helped me load it carefully in his van. He kept me updated on progress and issues that came. Issues was due to parts being shipped from Samsung in Korea. But that was neither Jose fault just one of those things you just have to be patient with and wait. It was button up after then he brought right back. Soon after the sound acted up, no biggie called him right back came within an hour and fixed it. Definitely would recommend if you are needing some tv repairs. read more

I wanted to write the owner "Jose" a really good review because we had a 5-yr old Samsung LED TV which just stopped displaying video (at first intermittently, then permanently). Not only that, my 5-yr warranty through Costco had expired two months too late. We didn't want to spend too much as we could easily purchase a low to medium tier LED TV at WalMart, Best Buy, or the Military Exchange for $400+... We really didn't want to scrap our $1,000+ TV after just 5 yrs of use. Well, #1 Jose was happy to diagnose our TV for FREE, #2 He knew where we were coming from (as we weren't going to spend close to the price of a new TV just to repair it), and #3 he appeared very honest during my 1st visit. Jose was able to resurrect our TV so we could squeeze a few more years out of it without breaking our checkbook. Now we have what we feel is still a great TV that'll last us several more years. Jose fixed it in less than a week, only because he had to order the part for us. You should definitely have him look at your TV if you have any issues with it. Note: Digital Television Repair is a "cash only" business which was the only thing we didn't like, but all of Jose's positives greatly outweigh the fact he doesn't take credit cards. Easily a 5-Star Yelp review! read more

Absolutely ridiculous... called them, they pawned me off on someone else, gave me their number. Called the new person. Spoke about the issue, that I needed a new screen, as mine cracked, and was told he would look up the price and call me back the next day. A week later I decided to reach out again, the guy had no clue what I was talking about until I showed him text screen shots. He felt bad and promised me he will look into it. Never heard from him again. All in all. These businesses are all BS. I don't know why they are in business when people call to use their service and they make ZERO attempt to do their job. Complete joke read more

My tv screen went black, Tv had sound but no picture, I thought was the backlight LED. I called Jose and he told me to bring it in, once there he told me the price would be $280 (better than other places that I called btw) he said it would take a week because he had to order parts, the next day he called me and said it was not the backlight and that would be less than $280, VERY honest person, he fixed my TV in one day. I highly recommend this place!! Jose is a great guy and honest person! read more

I was so pleased with the work done on my TV. Jose called me back within an hour of drop off with the diagnosis. He said I needed a $600 part. He then told me not to do this as it would be better to buy a new TV. Love his honesty. He said he thought he could repair the shot for$150. Which he did and now works fine. If it had not worked no charge. Small business man. Give him yours. read more

This place is legit! Excellent service and fast plus very inexpensive, we almost made the mistake of calling the geek squad.

Jose is awesome. Really nice honest guy and really fast. I reached out to several different places on yelp and no one could fix my optical jack on my tv. Something so small but needed to be replaced. He responded really fast and stated doesn't like to play games with customers. Make sure to call him before you head over cause he does house calls for big TVs. He ensures all parts are working while you are there so you know it's going g to work when you get home. Also affordable. I am going to him for any future tv needs. read more

So glad to have my Samsung TV fixed for $240 so I didn't have to spend at least $900 on a new one. Looks great. Thanks

Thanks for your good advice and quick diagnosis, Jose. Really appreciate the weekend hours.

After 1.5 years my Vizio TV blacked out. Out of warranty I was faced with the decision to get a new TV, have Vizio repair it or Call Jose. Jose took my TV on Friday and it was fixed by Sunday. This was the most cost effective choice. I'm so glad to have my TV up and running again. I recommend Jose and his service to anyone, and would definitely call him again in the future, if needed! read more

José was great. Came out and identified the issue right away. He originally told us he would have to buy the part (motherboard) and wait for shipment. He ended up having the part on hand in storage and was able to pick up the TV, replace the part and install it back the same day. His response time was fantastic and his is fair and honest with pricing. Would highly recommend. read more

Awesome service... If you need your TV repaired call here first!! Period. Long story short, Vizio TV, called Vizio to get steps to fix TV with no luck. Vizio gave me a number for their repair service. Called Vizio repair service and they stated it was too old for them to repair it. Looked up TV repair on Yelp and first 3 companies stated that they do not repair TV's. Then why are they on Yelp under TV repair.... Called Digital TV repair and they came out and picked up the TV 3 hours later. they returned the TV fixed the next day.... the next day.... Awesome awesome service. read more

Fixed my TV perfectly and was very professional and timely. Excellent prices! Very happy!

Jose was incredible! He called us back immediately and came over to check out our television after we requested a quote. The mother board was the issue but just to make sure, he replaced the TV sensor for us for free to rule that out. After he checked out a few things, he took our TV with him to troubleshoot the issue to prevent us from paying more than we had to. He kept constant communication over the next few days and our TV was delivered fully repaired on Sunday after picking it up Friday. I highly recommend Jose for his experience, customer service, and professionalism! read more
