First and most important.... YOU GUYS ROCK!! If you have any problems or need help with anything when it comes to your computer, or in my case a completely obliterated flash drive that is completely fried, then these are the guys to go to! They did such a great job with my issue, working so hard on it and in the end I was able to retrieve all my files and information off of my flash drive successfully. All my worry was gone thanks to them. They were amazing! Caltech Advantage is awesome. I had a bad hard disk from a fall and dent suffered by my laptop. They explained the options for repair, was upfront about pricing and the time that it would take, and outlined the options for me. He was trying to sell me on replacing my disk drive with a solid state hard drive that was quite a bit more expensive. While I'm usually very wary of this kind of upselling, I found they where very trustworthy and knowledgeable so I went with his recommendation. A few days later, my laptop was working better than ever, and I totally love the solid state drive, as it makes my computer twice as fast to operate and extends the battery life significantly. read more

I have a Dell Studio XPS, which is a bit old but I love it (but it's a piece of art and back in the day I spent quite a bit of money for it), so recently when the screen broke I had a bit of a dilemma. It's out of warranty and i know Dell is outrageously expensive so had to find something local. Caltech advantage had some good reviews so i called and scheduled a drop off. Steve told me that as soon as the part arrives it will be a same day fix. Two days later I got it back for a reasonable price. We had to replace our old printer, and Steve did a fantastic job is providing us with a wireless one. Steve is very responsive; he came the same day I called. I later had to call him because the printer wouldn't work. Steve came out and (after trying to help me fix the problem over the phone) quickly determined that we had a new router since he was last here and reconnected the wireless printer. The new printer is working fine, and Steve did not charge us for the second visit, which he was well within his rights to do so. The printer we purchased from Steve was very reasonable as well. I searched online trying to find the best place to take my laptop which was having hardware issues- keyboard and battery not working. I took it to them who ran some diagnostics and they was very honest in what they thought the problem was the motherboard and ultimately, recommend I just get a new laptop because of the price of replacing the motherboard. I really appreciated their honesty. They could have easily went ahead and replaced my keyboard and battery and charged me a couple hundred dollars for that to still not have resolved my problem. My computer was acting wonky for over a year and I did my best to research and apply how to keep it running well, but it kept getting slower, especially on boot up. I finally decided to get professional help. Caltech was awesome. They discovered I had a faulty drive, which is what was causing the issue. Apparently the drive was so bad, that it was on the brink of failing entirely, which could have resulted in lost data. They were able to hook up a new drive, and do a general OS tuneup. The computer is running great! I forgot how nice it is to have a fast computer. This service has saved me from buying a new one. read more

My laptop recently went on the fritz and according to it, the internet completely disappeared. I took it to here and it turns out I had some nasty malware that corrupted Windows.
