I had an issue with Windows(go figure) on my laptop. I called M&E Computers and they said come on down. I brought my laptop in and he had the issues squared away within minutes. I have been coming here for awhile, and ALWAYS the best service and professional advice by super dialed in technicians. I feel so blessed to have them so close to where I live and work. I highly recommend them and I will continue to be a happy repeat customer read more

Very straightforward, assisted me with my PC issues and helped narrow down the problems I was having with my computer. I highly recommend this place i've coming here for years! read more

I had occasion to visit Preston at M&E today to fix my PC. The sound disappeared. Preston was able to see me within the hour, fixed the "driver" and the sound returned. He was courteous and very efficient. It was not the first time I have used M&E, and they have proven to be a natural resource for the folks in Pt Loma. I will return if necessary. read more

My laptop was stuck in some weird limbo and wouldn't boot. Heard good things about these guys so took it to them. They sorted in out right away and didn't even charge me. They gave me some good recommendations on how to proceed. Can't recommend them enough read more

Happened upon this place a couple years ago when the initial place I went to was charging $$$ for what I considered a minor repair and had a "quick" 10 day turnaround due to potential parts orders. Flash forward one day later and this place got the job done in 24 hours at a fraction of the cost. I also just left there with what turned out to be a minor issue....and the owner was super helpful and easy to talk to. Please don't hesitate to go to this "small shop" as he doesn't have the corporate overhead (or costs), is super fair and knowledgeable. read more

Elias and team are always very helpful, reliable and trustworthy. Been using them for years and will be for years to come. Would highly recommend their service. read more

Elias has been fixing my computers for many years now. His service is amazing and his advice is most welcomed. I would not go anywhere else for any of my computer needs. read more

I received excellent customer service and amazing support in selecting components for my new PC build. Elias is knowledgeable in the current state of high-performance computing and has the expertise to construct any PC build. He ensures stability and performance by rigorous testing of the PC components, and if any faulty components are found he expedites the return process. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to build a gaming pc, high-end workstation, or high-performance cluster. read more

I took my laptop to Tech Outfitters to replace the cracked screen last year. Ever since then I've had an issue with the tablet/keyboard sensor. Tech Outfitters tried to fix it but couldn't. They then tried to Jerry-rig the laptop for me so it would work but didn't work long term. I finally took it to M&E Computers here Michael and Elias were so friendly, professional and helpful. They properly diagnosed the problem with a sensor (Techoutfitters couldn't or maybe wouldn't admit) and offer solutions. It's clear that these guys know what they're doing. They also identified some inefficiencies and hidden files that shouldn't have been hidden, as well as helped created an image backup of my laptop so I could work on another computer while they were fixing mine. Instead of upselling me they spent hours troubleshooting and fixing my laptop properly, which saved me from having to buy a replacement laptop. I highly recommend Michael and Elias for any kind of computer troubleshooting, repairs, data/computer transfer, etc. They also do screen replacements for phones and computers. I will definitely be coming here for all my computer/tech needs in the future! read more

Needed a desktop pc repair. Called their phone number, but automated message just said "call back later". So i made an appointment for a consult via their online reservation system for 1pm Friday. No parking. Only street parking over a block away...arrived early carrying desktop pc only to find doors locked and lights off. Waited 10 min, nothing! Checked their posted hours which indicated they were supposed to be open 12-7pm. Tried calling again but same automated message. Will find a more reliable repair shop elsewhere. read more

Elias couldn't fix my iPhone screen because of Apple's proprietary repair rules. But he was very helpful! He gave me a tool to swap SIM cards with another phone I had on hand. I'll definitely use M&E for any computer problems in the future. read more

Great service, upgrading a CPU/air cool unit in custom desktop. Very knowledgeable. Would go to again.

Mike is top notch and quick! If you're in need of any phone or computer repair, these are the guys to hit up. They use OEM equipment and are on par with any Apple/iPhone certified technician! They use oem screens for your iPhone and are faster than the guys over at the Apple store. I've broken numerous iPhone screens (my older iPhone 4s, 5s & 6s) a few too many times and these guys have always came to the rescue! Come by and be at ease as you can trust these dudes with a great repair! read more

I have been going here for a couple of years now but within the last 3 months, I had to have Elias look at both my Mac Air and HP for spilling things on my Mac (Dog spilled coffee on it the last time) and overheating on the HP. He is always very courteous, kind, and informative. I can always count on him to give me sound advice. If you want good service and reliability, this is the place. I will continue to take my laptops to him and I know I will be given a fair price and the quality is excellent. Thank you Elias! read more

Even with all the technological progress in this age of digitalism, I am humbled time and time again when my old computer, laptop, phone, etc require a tune up, repair, or replacement. What starts off as excitement easily develops into an anxiety ridden head spinning, onset by the debut of latest gadget, update, interface... you name it. Rightfully so, as with technology, there is so much to know, have, want, and need when completing even the simplest of projects. As a real estate agent and nursing student I have had my fair share of technological blunders in the past. However, coming on 3yrs I have not skipped a beat thanks to having the professional help of M&E Computers in my corner. Overjoyed with my laptop repair and continued tech buying experiences with Elias, IT Consultant/Technician of Point Loma's M&E Computers, I consider him THE end all be all technology professional, a Godsend if you will! With care and expertise, Elias saved me from becoming another naive consumer throwing money away into obsolete technology. He also advised against my overpurchasing of unnessesary "bells and whistles" when my project and budget simply did not call for it. Elias is honest, communicative, and Straight-forward when it comes to meeting your specific technology needs. He lays out the options - different tiers of repairs and levels of purchase, so that you are informed in deciding on the exact tool to meet your next deadline and perform at your highest potential. Daunted by the thought of repairing/buying a laptop, phone, desktop- no more. Thanks Elias! read more

I needed help with my new computer and took a chance that the computer repair shop around the corner would spare me a few minutes; it was daunting to take the bus to the train all the way from Pt Loma to Mission Valley. They helped me get started using a more sophisticated computer than I was used to. I know they know everything you need to know about computers, they're good neighbors and reasonably priced. I appreciate this crew! read more

Elias helped replace my macbook battery! He is super reliable and very fast with responding. Super quick with his work too, it only took an hour to get my laptop back and he also cleaned my keyboard dust which I appreciate very much. I called in advance to make sure they have my battery part for replacement, and once it came in the service work was super fast. They have fair pricing for the amazing work they do, very clean and professional building but parking is a little bit harder. Will be coming back for any of my tech needs! read more

Mr Dao helped with my computer issue in a timely and thorough manner. He answered all the questions that I had. Great work!

Is there a way to rate 5 PLUS? I can't recommend Elias enough. Phone repair: Before M&E I had some bad experiences at phone repairs so, as a result, I lived with broken screens and little shards in your cheek (TMI?) but now life is much better. I still abuse/break my phones regularly but Elias fixes them up brand new, his pricing, quality of work and, above all the service is consistently a "Wow" experience! Now life is better, my phones don't look like a disaster recovery artifact and my face has recovered from that whole Frankenstein look. Computer repair: This is the serious part of this review. My first venture into M&E was I wiped my entire life off my computer. This was a very very bad moment. I immediately went to Yelp reviews and then called Elias for an initial discussion on the repair process. It was obvious he was busy with customers at the counter but he also was able to multi-task, articulating in our phone call how the repair would go, the sequencing of steps and the probability of success that would be established at various milestones along the way. I think I was at his store 10 minutes later. He spent about 30 minutes with me at the drop-off and then, over the next few days, he maintained regular contact with me for status updates. It took about a week to diagnose, order corrupted parts, rebuild and test. During the repair time he displayed tremendous concern for my anxiety and yet, his pricing was extremely fair. When the computer was returned he had recovered all the data. On additional, separate visits he has upgraded and also repaired the same laptop. Whether you have regular day to day maintenance issues or once in a lifetime catastrophes, Elias is your best bet for a successful outcome. Thank you Elias! read more

Elias at M&E built a computer for me this summer and the performance of this computer has exceeded my expectations - by an order of magnitude. The price to build a customized computer was not only competitive, the personalized service that I experienced with M&E Computers is just about impossible to find at any price. I was able to establish excellent communication with Elias right away. He listened to what I needed, asked the right questions and was able to quickly analyze the requirements for the specific and performance-demanding software that I use for my business in architectural design. After Elias delivered the computer, he has remained as responsive as he was on day-one to any follow up questions that I have. If you run software that demands a higher level of performance, I recommend you run to M&E and have Elias build you a computer that will take you to the next level of productivity and, ideally, make the hours that you spend in front of a computer a real pleasure. Imagine working on a machine that will never give you twirling or spinning cursor notices! It can happen. read more

I have to concur with all the other 5 star reviews here for this business. I took my IPhone here for repair of a cracked screen. Elias fixed it while I waited, was courteous and efficient (was done sooner than the 45 minutes he'd estimated). I had confidence in his integrity and in his work. Can't say enough about my positive experience. Highly recommend this business! Note that they are a little hard to find, as they are nestled in with the German Auto Center offices - facing Rosecrans. Street parking only, but I had no issues finding a space nearby. read more

Wow! I feel so fortunate to have found this business and Elias. It's always a scary thing to take your computer in to get repaired, because you don't know if the person is really that qualified and you don't know if they will gouge you. My Hp laptop was giving me the spinning disc of death..I called and spoke with Elias because I thought I had a virus...Told him the laptop was purchased in 2016. Brought it in for a diagnosis. I like when honest techs are willing to give you professional advice..Had him remove the hard drive so my data would not be compromised. Great Guy!! Great service read more

Thank heavens for these guys! I dropped my phone in water and they were able to revive it with a cleaning and new screen. They're super friendly and reasonably priced considering I thought I was going to need a new phone... I'd recommend them to everyone! read more

I have been going to these guys since 2017. Elias and Michael have helped me with everything from our iPhones, iPads, and several iMac computers. They are quick to reply my questions, they are reliable and trustworthy, they do exceptional work, they have great and fair pricing and super friendly and easy to talk to. I would simply call them and give a brief explanation regarding my electronic issues, they set up a time for me to come in, they give me a quick assessment when I drop off the electronics and before you know it, its done or they give a diagnosis and timeframe to do the work. I've called other places that are mostly overpriced and takes much longer to get any feed back. Don't waste time looking elsewhere. If you have computer or other electronic repair needs, these are the guys that can get the job done right! read more

I spilled a drink on my laptop and was seriously freaking out. Elias was so amazing! Promptly took a look and talked me through what they would do to assess the damage and was honestly there for me. These guys are the BEST! Hands down the most friendly, genuine, trustworthy and knowledgable technicians I've ever met. After visiting M&E three times for various phone and laptop issues (water damage, broken screen, data retrieving), every experience has been stellar and it's safe to say that this place is now my go-to repair shop for any technical problems I have or will run into in the future. For anyone looking for honest and knowledgable technicians, look no further, this is the place to go! read more

This place is the best! I was having so many problems with my MacBook, I was beside myself. I bought an external drive from Target to free up space, transferred all of my documents, files and photos but no space was freed. I was getting popup windows every time I tried to type. I took the computer to M&E. A virus had taken over my computer using all of the space, my battery was also bad. They backed up everything, installed an antivirus program, saved all of my files and put in a new battery. These guys get to the problem fast, are professional and they're reasonably priced! read more

Amazing customer service, responsiveness, and professionalism. Unfortunately my computer was completely corroded due to water damage but thankfully he gave me a good recommendation for a quality and affordable laptop and did not try to convince me to fix the broken power strip since it's the same price as a new computer. I absolutely appreciated his free diagnostic and that he backed up my hard drive for a reasonable price. read more

Elias and Michael are Super! I needed an upgrade to Windows 10 from Win 7 for my desktop work machine. It also required hardware mods to increase performance. M&E evaluated various options, budget, component compatibility and future uses. They were highly informative and provided sound advice. These guys are - Professional, experienced, knowledgeable, customer-oriented, fair and provide reasonable prices. Highly Recommended! read more

True and dedicated to their customers and their craft. Michael and Elias spent a good amount of time with me and my broken computer. Resolving my issue with a sensible solution and sometimes you just need to have a professional tell it to you straight. It doesn't matter if it was fixed or not, which they would of easily done but sometimes you just have to let a dead horse lie, or what the solution was to my problem. What matters is these are two guys that I trust and like. How hard is that to find now days? Yes true to their word they did not charge me for a diagnostic and that is fine but I would have paid them gladly if they would of let me and after offering twice they still held up to saying no. I guess the rules are the rules. Haha. All this being said, go to these guys no matter what. They are solid and cool. Get your upgrades or whatever done here. They will be done right, with very good parts and efficiency. Pay them. They are worth every dime. read more
