It pains me to write one star reviews and I tried in vain to schedule this company for a move based on the positive reviews and photos At first there was no answer on the phone I thought ok maybe he's out in the field. It's a google voice number which I thought was strange )basically a number that can be deleted at anytime - not very professional?) When I finally got through some things changed from their original quote like suddenly they wanted me to pay for the truck rental. It's all good. He said he would send the paperwork by then end of the day and never did. Mind you this is like the 3rd time I've had to chase after this company just to get a basic level of attention and service that any other mover is providing simultaneously You know it's a problem with the company when the customer ends up following up with the owner and not the other way around. If he said he would send paperwork at the end of the day which i assume is mostly boilerplate stuff that is sent to everyone it should be an easy task to follow through on. It just made me nervous like if someone has that little responsibility and follow through what could happen on the day of the move . The truck forgot to get booked. Forgot an item on the truck. Etc As they say in America three strikes your out. I don't know maybe this is a limited operation but seems like the office management and client dev could use a lot of work read more

Extremely appreciative of Zachariah, Joshua, and the rest of the team from All Together moving. We moved from San Francisco (Mission Bay) up to Seattle (South Lake Union), and they were awesome. Extremely punctual and polite, not to mention very quick and efficient with loading and unloading. None of our items were damaged at all. We looked at several companies while planning this move, and I'll say that Zachariah won out given his responsiveness to email (almost everyone else keeps trying to call, which is hard during a working day) and kind advice re: packing when we did our Zoom intake. They can also move cars, which was an added layer of security, although we ended up going with a different dedicated car shipping company instead. Definitely would recommend this team highly to anyone moving out of the Bay Area! read more

Just don't hire them. Sure they might have many 5 star reviews (but ask yourself why they have fewer than 100 reviews when other moving companies have 500+), but when the move doesn't go well, it will become your worst nightmare -- from damaged goods to shockingly unprofessional language and a complete unwillingness to compromise. It's a question of whether that's a risk you're willing to take. I can tell you from where I sit now, it's not something I'd ever want to go through again, so I want to warn you off Zachariah and All Together Moving now. A few key points of concern: 1. they damaged 5 pieces of furniture (three of them antique). 2. took more than 2x the estimated time (11 hours vs 23.25); 3. brought two "movers" - for the first 8 hours of the move day (instead of the contracted three) and only one of them was an employee of the company. the other was, by his own admission, not nor had he ever been an employee of the company. a third man they eventually brought in was similarly - by his own admission - not an employee of the company. 4. the owner told me "shit breaks; life fucking happens" when I voiced my concerns over all of the broken furniture. Not exactly the attitude you want in your movers, right? moving is stressful enough, but to have to deal with an unprofessional and hostile business owner is too much in this situation (or any situation where they're asking for a large sum of money). 5. if Zachariah breaks your stuff, know he is unreasonable and volatile and manipulative with his promises and assurances -- shifting from he "will make you whole "when something breaks which are quickly replaced with reminders that "basic insurance is only $.60/pound of goods"... 6. as a woman, he kept going to my male partner instead of talking to me -- so just bear in mind if you are a woman looking to hire movers, there is a feeling of misogynistic-othering there. 7. we tried to negotiate on the invoice b/c it was 50% higher than the original quote (though as he loves to point out below the "not to exceed price")... he was irrational and combative. I prefer to keep these things short as it dont take much to impress and/or disappoint me. These guys are great! Two guys to come over and pack up my one bed room apartment and move us across the city into a two bedroom on the third floor back in January. They quoted me for 5 hours and it took way longer and they were reasonable on the price increase for their time. Zach was a great collaborative person that I would suggest to anyone that needs a mover. They even went the extra mile in helping me re-assemble some furniture which saved me a good bit of time. Endlessly grateful to Zachariah and Danny for their help in moving us from one apartment to another in San Francisco. These guys showed up with a clean, professional truck and great attitude. They don't use shrink wrap, which I greatly appreciate too. Lots of blankets and care of all of our furniture and our plant babies too! Our move from a junior 1 bed to a 2 bedroom (1 mile apart) took 5 hours. They initially quoted us for 3, but we went over and were above our quoted rate. We had a lot of things in boxes, but also several pieces that were loose or too hard to box. That was likely a big part of our going over, little bits here and there. All and all we are so happy to have hired this company and we would recommend them to any of our friends, family, neighbors, or other loved ones. I'm also personally very happy to support musicians. My new shinny "heavy" BBQ showed up on a pallet. Weighed 400+lbs. I needed to get it to my Public Storage locker A.S.A.P. as it was sitting on the public sidewalk and it was beginning to rain. Luckily, All Together Moving was up to the challenge and they engaged in one hour from our request and was able to show up and move the BBQ the very next day! TL;DR: cancelled the move the day of the move without any prior notice. Agree with the other reviewer to "JUST DON'T HIRE THEM" I booked movers from SF to Oakland on 9/27 for a moving date on 10/15. The booking process was smooth, timely, and the person on the phone (Maryssa) was very friendly and helpful. Maryssa gave me a move-in window of 12-5PM on the moving day, they said they had. On the moving day i had not heard from them and called them around noon to just get an estimate for timing, and emailed them around1:15PM. Moving days are high stress and require a lot of organization and coordination, so it would have been helpful to get an update on timing which is supposedly based on the first move schedule. A bit before 2PM Zachariah responded and said that they are "finishing up the first job of the day as we speak and will arrive toward the later end of the arrival window, likely around 3-5. Let us know if you have any questions in the meantime" Less than 2 hours later, at 330PM they said: "Hello Dylan, I deeply apologize but we will not be able to help with your move today. The client we are helping was not ready at all and now the crew will be working far into the night. This has never happened in 15 years, I feel absolutely terrible and am so sorry. Is there an option to reschedule your move for another day? Once again I am deeply sorry, we take our clients time very seriously and work extremely hard to never have this happen. Please let me know if it's possible to reschedule " I mentioned that i would likely have to get a hotel for the night since everything was packed up, and after some back and forth they said "I understand your perspective. This was an outlier situation where they were not only not packed, but changed the unloading logistics which was the main issue that is causing our team to work extremely late. Extremely frustrating. I will refund your deposit, and also send you $100 towards a hotel, as I feel terrible. Like I said this has never happened in 15 years." I found last minute movers who came at 7PM and ended up moving us until close to midnight, who were incredible (see other reviews). On Monday (today) they said they would refund the deposit ($150, but we'll see if i even get that), and are now not willing to give me even $100 because I "did not end up getting a hotel", even though I ended up needing to pay extra to get same day movers. read more

I am late in writing this review for Zach and his crew who were just incredibly awesome when I had to move in December. They are very pleasant and easy to work with, super strong on the heavy stuff, as honest as the day is long and work to stay on time. I thought I had been realistic about our stuff and fairly assessed but I underestimated. I think they probably didn't have time to eat because of my underestimation even though they had planned well. Still, they took it in stride. They kept their sense of humor and some smiles throughout the day and into the early evening. (I can only guess that if you had a bad experience with them you might consider the word "bridezilla" and ask yourself how much of a nightmare client you have been.) I want to preface this review by saying I was referred to this moving company by seeing their work at my brother and sister's move. They moved from a second floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment. I saw how great the guys did and I hired them for myself. I moved from San Leandro downtown to Hayward by Chabot. It was a great experience! The 2 young men that came moved swiftly and We're careful with my things. They had to move quite a few things which included a sofa a piano and a squat rack. It went a little over the estimated time but i didn't need to lift a finger! All in all a great experience. Hired them to move a very heavy desk (350 pounds) from my garage up 38 steps to my home. They were extremely professional, taking care to not do any damage to the floors and walls, and they helped me put the desk together once we got it moved (needed to bold on a very heavy top). I just moved over the weekend and I'm very thankful for the team! Zach and John worked both days. They moved my entire bedroom, living room, kitchen, and our very extensive home gym to our new home. Our new home, unfortunately, had two flights of stairs. Zach and John worked diligently to maneuver all the furniture and large items up the stairs. It was also quite narrow in the stairwell. I also had this huge 82 inch TV that they helped moved. They wrapped it up really well but unfortunately it was still damaged from the move. I should have gotten insurance on it but I forgot. I also had these two sheets of mirror, they were 4ft by 6 ft big, that were mounted in the gym and it was moved successfully to my new home gym. I truly appreciate All Together Moving for helping me move and I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's moving.
