I have been with this company for years. I've had several issues with false alarms, broken sensors, and weird alerts. They charge $130 to come assess the problem, and another $50 to replace a sensor even if it is new and you haven't done a thing to alter it. This company is a little cheaper than most, but you get what you pay for. It got to the point I would cancel an alarm in the middle of the night because you could never trust the system. It worked well for a year or so, so I gave them 3 stars. read more

Jeff Alexander, owner, is a very friendly and attentive guy. He was able to get us in a moments notice, met us at the house and did a walk through. He was very detailed, answered all of our questions and made sure we were happy and had what we needed. Even after the install, Jeff has called to check on the system, our satisfaction and if we have any questions. If you're looking for home security, don't deal with someone in another state who doesn't know you and doesn't know Austin. Jeff is local, he caress about his business, his customers and shows it. We're glad we chose All Star Security, and I highly recommend you do, as well. read more

Jeff and his team were awesome. Really nice, knowledgeable, helpful. None of those high pressure tactics, he just gives it to you straight

Tyler and Jeff at All Star security are fantastic! Both are easy to talk to and professional. We purchased a home with the camera system in place and Tyler came over to the home for a couple hours and went through every detail with us. He ensured we understood the system before he left. Highly recommend getting your security installed and monitored by All Star of Austin. read more

AllStar Security installed our alarm system and camera 2 years ago, we liked the Alarm.com setup however the installer was quite rude, nonetheless we proceeded accordingly and ended up content with the system. Fast forward 2 years later, after 2 calls to AllStar to assist with camera issues we get a promise to follow-up and nothing. Very unfortunate as we needed our camera issues resolved and considered adding additional ones. read more

I would not recommend Jeff with All Star Security to anyone. I did like Jeff when he installed the system a couple of years ago, but he has very poor workers in the field now. We had issues with the system, only to have a worker tell us how poor Jeff set up the system and coded everything wrong. He stated he correct this problems. We shortly had the same issues again. This time Jeff scheduled someone to come out from 8am till noon. He finally showed up around 830pm. I had already cancelled and requested the service to be rescheduled. When the service tech showed up I was already in bed and my wife was getting into the shower. The tech proceeded to walk around in the house peeking into windows, including the bathroom, where my wife was. He is very lucky he was not shot or arrested as a peeping tom When I spoke to Jeff on this issue, he stated it was my fault that his tech had to walk around and peep into the windows. REALLY ???? I suggest calling someone else that has decent employees and integrity In my opinion that is NOT ALL STAR SECURITY !!! read more

AllStar Security just installed a basic system in our home and I'm very happy with the results. The system is functioning just as I expected and the interactive panel is user friendly. I also really like the convenience of using an app to arm my home. My husband and I felt comfortable having Jeff explain his recommended security system for us. I especially appreciated that he understood we wanted some time alone to think about the quote on the table. He didn't force an immediate answer so we had time to really review our options. Once we decided to move forward, Jeff came back to our home and helped my husband fill out the paperwork. His personable approach once again put us at ease. I feel strongly about working with local businesses and I'm happy to give my business to AllStar. Working directly with Jeff the owner makes me confident that we can rely on him and his company. read more

Jeff was very straightforward and easy to deal with, taking time to explain how things worked and not trying to sell me on unneeded services. The installation took longer than anticipated due to some issues at my house, but there were no surprise charges as a result. I was also glad to deal with a local business owner instead of a national security chain. read more

I had been shopping around for security systems for about a month and was frustrated with talking to used car salesman types. I found AllStar on Yelp and Angie's List and sent an email inquiry. After less than 5 minutes, I had an email from Jeff and spoke to him that night. He was personable, informative, and straight to the point when it came to packages and pricing. Danny installed the system about a week later. It did take a long time (about 5 hours), but I appreciated that he installed it the way that we wanted and re-did some work to ensure that. Though it was a lengthy install, he took the time to patiently answer a bunch of questions, practice using the system, etc. A couple of weeks after the system was installed, I received a call from the monitoring company. They thought my battery was faulty. Jeff came out the next day and replaced it in about 5 minutes. I appreciate the honesty, pricing and service. I've suggested AllStar to neighbors and friends. read more

Jeff is a gem and incredibly professional. He walked me through some fixes even before showing up (which temporarily solved my problem). When I needed him for further assistance thereafter, he was prompt, courteous, and solved our problem. I highly recommend! read more

Jeff provided me an excellent customer service. He went through all the options and did not push me for anything what other companies did that's what i liked. Good thing about allstar is to have month to month contract and still low prices. read more

Jeff is one amazing guy. He truly cares about security and his customers. He is polite, patient and willing to answer all questions. I've been with All Star for a long time and every time the alarm has gone off, the police station has called which means his security system actually works. I highly recommend All Star Security - they have the lowest prices and highest customer service. read more

I have used All Star Security on several occasions and words cannot describe how amazing the service I've received from Jeff is. This guy is the epitome of professional, patient and kind. Austin All Star Security has been the best. I have been under the impression as of lately that personalized services was a thing of the past. This is not the case with Austin All Star Security as you deal directly with the owner. Jeff the owner, is very friendly and has made unscheduled house calls for my benefit. I really appreciate Jeff's honesty and commitment to me, the customer. I highly recommend this company to you. read more

This company installed a new security system in my house and I am very pleased with the service that was provided. It was a replacement for a system that had ceased to function and I had had problems with other companies while attempting to find a new system. I found this company while searching for advice on Yelp and they immediately responded to my request. It was a pleasure dealing with them. read more

Jeff A installed a new communicator (CDMA on Verizon) for our existing DSC home alarm system in January of 2018. Took less than 45 minutes. The first alarm revealed that one of the zone codes was incorrect, so Jeff came out the next day and re-programmed that code. So far (August), pleased with the new communicator, the new monitoring company and the excellent customer service. read more

We just recently moved into the Driftwood area from El Paso. The house we purchased had an alarm system already installed. I had to research potential security vendors who could service the 2Gig system. Allstar Security was the first vendor I called. Jeff responded immediately and has been awesome in getting our system up and running. He is very knowledgeable, takes his time in ensuring the homeowner clearly understands how their system works, and recommends any upgrades that may be needed. He provided great service and really made us feel welcome as new Austin residents. We would definitely recommend Allstar Security over an impersonal out of town vendor you will never meet who wants to lock you in to a multi-year contract! Thanks, Jeff and team for your terrific service!! We definitely look forward to working with you to ensure our home and pets are safe and secure. read more

Jeff was patient and helpful during our research for a security system. He was respectful of my crazy questions and my long decision cycle. Their team installed the security system without a hitch and they followed up a few times to make sure everything was good. I've recommended Jeff to a few neighbors...and I don't recommend often ;-) Thanks AllStar. read more

I switched from ADT to All Star Security as soon as my 3 years contract was over (Aug/2014). As a small business (KId-E-Shack Lakeway) owner, I need to be able to have a right away and /or anytime answer from my security/alarm company. I couldn't deal talking to machine, and be on hold. Also, I had them telling me to upgrade my alarm panel to a better and new one anytime I had an alarm issue. Jeff Alexander (owner) and staff are always there for my business needs. They do the same service for lower rates and they have friendly staff . My business friends recommended me Jeff Alexander business. I am very happy to choose All Star Security. Thank you! read more

It's my first review on yelp and I will certainly recommend Jeff from AllStar Security. It's our first house and I am overwhelmed by all the things we need to go through before we can finally settle down. When it comes to home security system, we talked to almost everybody in the area and we decided to go with Jeff. Jeff didn't push us to choose expensive package but rather tried to understand what we need and provided the recommendation. The conversation was very pleasant and what impressed me is that Jeff is very responsive both before and after we sign the contract with him. We had a little abnormal signal on our control panel and Jeff stopped by with two hour notice and took care of the problem in 10 minutes. With other big national name security company, you will never get such personal service. With other big security company, you may need to wait for days before they send someone to check up your system, do you want to risk your property just to accommodate security company's schedule? Jeff has been in the industry for years, even one of the window blinds contractors I talked to knows him. When Jeff's technician came to our house to install the system, the technician spent about 4 hours to complete the whole installation and test. It's not because they don't know what they are doing but they want to get everything set up nice and neat. They don't mess up your wall or ceiling, you don't even notice there are few more additional motion sensor or fire detectors in your house after installation. When you open the electric box, you will be amazed how clearly they line up and label each wire they installed. When people try to find home security system, our first reaction might just go with those big national company (no exception for me). But based on my experience, I will urge you to give Jeff a chance and then decide yourself. I think I make a good choice. read more

As a first time security system user, Jeff Alexander spent extreme amount of time to explain the basics of security system, how it works and the options' available. There is no push on the options and he even gave good recommendations to save me money. AllStar Security was recommended by a co-worker. I would quite agree with him and other reviewer about the way Jeff and AllStar doing business. For the issue of home security, you always want to give the business to someone you can trust. The cell based system and flexible options is another important reason I choose AllStar. With today's infrastructure, who still has the land line at home. For a lot of security companies, land line is still the requirement for those basic security offerings. Otherwise, you will spend quite a few on the devices and monthly charges. AllStar definitely has the right focus on this issue. We're glad we chose All Star Security, and I would I highly recommend them to anyone that I knew. read more

We moved into our current house about a year ago. One of the first things we did was to research home security - got quotes from ADT as well as All Star. ADT not only came in $2000 more expensive, but they had the gall to put up their sign in my drive way when they came into deliver the quote. Jeff from All-Star was a completely different experience. First difference - he took the time to inspect the existing wiring in the house, where as ADT did not. Jeff told us that most of the existing wiring can be used 'as is', which saved us about $2000. We're one year into the contract with All-Star, and are satisfied customers. We had some equipment glitches early on, but were remedied quickly and personally by Jeff. One of these incidents was past 10pm, but Jeff personally answered his cell phone and took care of it himself. THAT is service that I remember and feel good about recommending. Our system is 17 zones + motion detector + smoke, and we do a monthly service contract. read more

After seeing all of the wonderful reviews on Yelp we contacted Jeff about a 2 Gig alarm system for our home. He was very informative and was not pushy. We ended up buying the system and had it installed the following day. The installers were very nice and detailed with their work without taking all day. We are very happy with the system so far. If you are in the market for an alarm system I would highly recommend AllStar Security! read more

Jeff did a wonderful job when I called him to give me a bid on a home security system. If you want someone who will sit down with you and go over all equipment options (complete with pictures), show you all of the company credentials, and walk through pricing structure, then AllStar security is the best option for you! One of the greatest features is that you don't have to enter a long term contract. Jeff was very professional and patient with all of my questions. The new home we had built had a security system installed, and I called around to see who had the best pricing on monitoring the system. It was so easy to work with them. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for home security. read more

We have not been using our older alarm system, but decided to get it up and running. The first company I called didn't work on our system but recommended Jeff at All Star. They were right! I read a review says the installer was rude for Jeff? Are you kidding me? Jeff is the nicest guy I know, in fact, I've dealt with some other security companies, receiving quotes etc, I cannot believe how awesome Jeff was.. Look I am I.T., 20 years in computing, service and sales.. I'm almost 2 years with Jeff and his company Austin ALL STAR Security, there's not one single txt message not answered, not one call has not been answered or returned. Not one feature I asked on the systems left unprovided. With the latest upgrade I'm able to use alarm.com it was well worth to upgrade, I asked him to do a garage door monitoring, BOOM.. Now I know if my garage is opened as well as my doors.. Jeff never re-scheduled his appointment, he always showed up right on time, never blamed on weather, never blamed on 3rd party installer not making the install due to sick wife's and kids like the other security companies I have experienced at the past.. If you're still reading this, you're just wasting time. Call Jeff. Not only for guaranteed service and also for unbeatable price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. read more

Ive had All Star Security for about 3months now and so far so good. So good that I even had my parents switch their home alarm to All Star Security also. All Star Security have no long year contracts unlike other competitors asking for 3 or even 5 yr contracts. AllStar Security only asks for 30days notice to cancel. Jeff installed both of them. He was efficient and professional. Very helpful. He even price matched a couple of item for us like the cellular unit for the wireless monitoring. And you cant beat the monthly rate. Probably the lowest in town. read more

We found AllStar Security through Yelp last week. Jeff, as mentioned in the other reviews, came out with short notice. We noticed this aspect in the reviews and that was important to us since we didn't plan very well for this. We had contacted another security system and thought we would automatically go with them. Then we didn't want to have a 3 year commitment with them, so we started to looked at other options. After reviewing a few companies on yelp, we called AllStar. Thank you Jeff for coming out and making the process seamless! The system has been installed now and it'd very simple to use. read more
