Coworkers and I did dineLA takeout on a Sunday. Here's what I ordered: -samosa -chicken tikka masala lunch combo Includes rice, dall (lentils), and salad -garlic naan -can of Sprite During previous dineLA events at All India Cafe, the lunch combo also included a potato curry. This time it didn't. When I opened the Tikka masala combo container, it looked like the potato curry was spooned into the empty slot, then removed. This was the case with 2 of the lunch combos. The chicken tikka masala had good flavor. But my coworkers and I miss dipping the garlic naan into the potato curry. Hopefully, the restaurant will bring it back on the next dineLA. read more

I've liked each All India location I've tried! In my opinion, this one isn't quite as good as the Arcadia location, but it is still some of the best Indian food that I have eaten. The inside is cozy and well decorated, with some music videos playing. The Pani Puri was really good! It was flavorful, fresh, and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Another spot to check off our SGV Passport. My wife and I have dined at the newer location in Arcadia on two occasions last year. One was for DineLA and one was for a Yelp event in the summer. This location has multiple parking garages to choose from near the building. This location in Pasadena was nice, just a bit smaller than the other one. The decorations are gorgeous and eye catching. We came in to use our SGV passport for the order of Pani Puri Shots. These were so good went we first tried them and couldn't want to get these again. We came in right before 3pm and they run a daily lunch special from 11:30am - 3pm. The staff was welcoming and worked very hard as she was the only server managing a few tables. We opted for 2 orders of the Pani Puri shots (one free from the SGV passport deal) and the Chicken Curry Lunch Special. The food took some time to come out but worth the wait. The Pani Puri shots were the best! I love the set up and presentation. The little mini cart even moves around with its wheels. You pour em up in the puffs and eat it in one bite! I like the flavor of the pani so I sip some too. :D As for the chicken curry, the flavors were delicious. The portions are good for one person but we shared. The naan was freshly made. The airy and crispiness makes it a great pairing with the whole meal. This location delivered on flavors and was consistent with the other restaurant. The food left us very happy! Came here twice before writing this review. First visit was 4/5. We got the shrimp tandoori and korma. I enjoyed both, especially the shrimp tandoori because they used jumbo shrimp. The korma was good in that it had that creamy texture, but it didn't quite have that very richness that I love about Indian curry. Taste wise, it was super mild and it didn't really bring out the flavors from the spices. We got naan on the side, and this was a miss for me, mainly because it wasn't very fluffy. Actually, it was on the flatter side and the texture was a bit hard. We got a side of the pani puri as well and I enjoyed the flavors from the sauce and textures. Honestly, this was probably the most flavorful thing we had. My second visit was 2/5. I got the chicken tikka masala this time, and I found this to be really disappointing. It was so watered down that the texture was soupy. It was also super bland too. Way too mild and I couldn't taste any of the spices. We got the korma again because my fiancé liked it from the first time, and comparing the two side by side, the korma was thicker. Should I come back on future visits I'll definitely repurchase the shrimp tandoori, but the tikka masala is a hard pass for me. read more

One dish definitely had flavor that stood out over the other, though also good! Plenty of rice arrived with the dishes on a silver round platter! Garlic Naan | Delicious & plentiful! I would easily order again! Chai Tea | I enjoyed each sip! Perfectly hot & delicious! The tea paired perfectly alongside the meal! Samosas | Uniquely shaped & tasty, filled with veggies, alongside both dipping sauces! Gulab Jamun | Dessert | Syrup-y deliciousness, got it to go! Salad | I absolutely love salad, but the salad was not memorable and was a bit warm. Decor | Lively & I nearly sighed once I stepped inside, very pretty! There was so much to see, from the floor to the ceiling! There was an image of the Taj Mahal plastered on the wall, sequin umbrellas hanging from up above, elegant lamps radiating mood lighting, and beautiful flowers on each table, alongside a gold lamp, which made the menu even easier to see! Came here on a Monday for the DineLA dinner special. There was no wait at 6pm so got seated immediately. I'm close by so walked here but you can usually find paid parking structures or street parking. We went with the dinner special which included a choice of appetizer of samosa or aloo tiki so we got one of each. For entree we got the tikka masala and tandoori chicken. For veggie we got the aloo gobi and palak paneer. It comes with naan and rice as well. For dessert we both went with the gulab jamun. The tikka masala was pretty diluted so it wasn't really that great and the tandoori chicken was super dry. Overall the entrees were really mediocre. The only ok things were the naan and gulab jamun which is not worth it enough to make a trip back. Service was also just ok and ambiance was not the best. We were seated right next to a bug zapper so not ideal. Overall wouldn't come back based on that experience and quality of the food was really subpar. read more

Four of us shared the Fun for 2 "Veggie Lovers" which included a choice of three selections, and includes 2 samosas, rice and order of Nan, and dessert. Our selections were the Aloo Mattar, Navaratan Korma, Shahi Paneer We ordered extra orders of samosas, Garlic Nan and an entree of Bartha (eggplant) and Tofu tiki masala. I had a chai, everything was well prepared and service was attentive. I got the homemade ginger ice cream to go, as it's included in the fun for 2. No one else wanted dessert. The ice cream was so flavorful I'm still thinking about it! If you can avoid the closest parking structures, I'd advise parking further away and walking. The structure getting in and leaving was a nightmare, but not a reflection on the dining experience. I think out the door with tip the bill was under $120, we didn't have any alcohol. Quite possibly the best Indian food I've ever had, and therefore some of the best food I've had in my life period. The garlic naan was perfectly fluffy with incredible crisp edges. The Nirvana curry was gone in 5 minutes after it hit the table. Creamy, filling, a touch of sweetness. I looked up from my bowl with new eyes. I have hope for the world now. The makhni paneer... tangy, rich, the perfect level of spice, the delicate paneer balanced with flavorful tomato and bell pepper. The eggplant salad: soft roasted eggplant layered with spicy tomato sauce and garlic-packed yogurt. I'm actually mildly allergic to eggplant but I ate it anyway. It was phenomenal. So worth it. I didn't try the tandoori chicken as I'm pescatarian but people kept talking about how they were "in love." My mother started singing. I'm not joking. I wish I had more pictures but we were all eating too fast to take any.
