My earpiece wasn't working on my cell phone and Marcus was able to replace the speaker in under 15 minutes. He was very diligent in explaining what exactly he was doing and the reasoning before taking action. After swapping the earpiece for a brand new one ($40 charge as insurance would have charged much more) we tested the new earpiece numerous times, I was sent home a very pleased customer. Turns out several hours later the earpiece is no longer working again! The next day I return to see Marcus once again with my earpiece issue. Always smiling and generous as he is, Marcus tackled the next problem that could be happening with the earpiece. After spending some time on Yelp last night to find the best iPhone repair place, I stumbled across iFix on Belmont. When my screen first shattered a couple weeks ago, my friends were quick to recommend this place- but of course, I wanted to do some research on my own. Long story short, I am so happy I ended up taking my friends (and yelps) advice. Jenny and Daniel at iFix were so friendly, so helpful, and so professional! Daniel, the technician, said it would take about 20 minutes to fix. He was true to his word and went above and beyond. He fixed my screen so that it is as good as new in no time! As Daniel fixed my phone in the back, Jenny and I chatted it up in the store. She was very personable, and great at making recommendations. I ended up leaving the store with a fixed screen, a protective glass casing, and a sturdier case, all for a very affordable price! small town service... that you can rarely find in a big city. personable, patient, genuine, honest service from these guys. trying to troubleshoot an old iphone that we now use as an ipod. they updated the software for me and cracked it open to do a full diagnosis and when they couldn't find anything wrong, helped walk through what we could do next. threw in a iphone case and charged nothing. i was in there a long time waiting for the download and saw several customers happily and gratefully receive quick, efficient service on their phones. marcus gave each case his personal touch making recommendations on phone cases, etc. - never trying to "sell" rather offering to give some extra cases from his collected stash. funny thing i learned was the "rice trick" DOES NOT work. marcus said if your phone becomes immersed in water, the best thing to do is shut it down immediately. rice will never ever work to soak up the moisture. he's collected several bags of rice in his years at the store :) read more

In short..These guys are NOT geek squad, but legit cell phone experts. Brought in my phone that had water damage and was overheating.. I hoped a new battery would fix the issue. They had a test battery that seemed to work, but it quickly started to over heat again. They believed the issue was the charging port, but I was apprehensive, since the phone was just charging before I left to go to the shop. They said that they would repair the port, but could not guarantee it would fix the issue, as it had water damage. I was close to buying a new phone, but decided to let them try and fix my droid... Turns out the phone had a lot of old and new water damage that corroded some of the internal circuits.. They took the phone apart, cahnged the charging port, cleaned and re-soldered the damaged internals (very hard to do), all in an hour for about 100 bucks... Guys were super nice and trustworthy, and actually pretty flexible on pricing. So glad the other guys (ufixibreak) had their calls going to VM at 11am on a Monday, which forced me to take a trip up north. read more

I gave iFix a call around 7PM on Wednesday and spoke to Marcus who told me to bring my phone as soon as he got in at 11AM on Thursday and he would have it fixed in 45 minutes. I did as I was told and received prompt service when I arrived. Marcus explained what he thought was wrong and how he would fix it, and he told me that if my phone wasn't fixed by the time he was done with it, he wouldn't charge me. Deal. I arrived an hour later to pick up my phone and the damn thing worked perfectly! Marcus is a wizard! He went through all of the dev tests with me to show me everything worked as it should. For cell phone fixes they are CASH ONLY but luckily there is a Bank of America right across the street. Everyone that helped me was super friendly, but I have to give a huge THANK YOU to Marcus! This place was referred to me by a neighborhood friend. I was desperate to get my data back from my phone and even considered shipping it off to a service for $500. I went on a sunday and they were closed but someone was there picking up some paperwork. Not only did he let me in on a day they were closed but he was able to transfer my data from my broken phone to my new one, he showed so much sympathy for my situation. It's clear they know what they are doing and charged me a more than fair price. I had the best experience here getting my phone screen fixed a few days ago. My phone had fallen and the screen was extremely cracked. I was planning on getting it fixed but then to make matters worse it fell off of my desk and rather than just having a cracked screen, the entire thing turned purple and blue rendering it unusable. I thought that I would have to replace my entire phone however Marcus is AMAZING and I don't know that I would trust anyone else with my phone repairs after working with him. However, the guy told me it was going to be $140!! Rather than search for a new shop, I paid the money. 3 days later, their office looks closed, or at least 90% emptied out. A friend recommended this place to me when my screen shattered earlier this year. I was wary to go anywhere as I had no idea how much it'd cost and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. Luckily I took my phone here (iphone 7) and they not only repaired the screen that day, it was reasonably priced as well! Today my phone fell at work (same phone...poor thing) and stopped working. The home button was broken and the phone wouldn't turn on at all. I took it in assuming it was basically unfixable, but the guy there took it apart and discovered that the battery had become dislodged in the fall.
