Unfortunately, just two weeks later, a noticeable black blob appeared on the new screen near the Dynamic Island. This looks like OLED screen bleed or a defect. The phone has remained in a case with a screen protector the entire time and has not been dropped, bumped, or otherwise mishandled. Given the timing (only 2 weeks after installation) and the specific location of the spot, this issue is almost certainly the result of either a defective replacement screen or a problem during installation (such as trapped dust, adhesive, or pressure damage). It is not consistent with normal use or accidental damage. I offered to bring the phone in so they could inspect it in person, but they declined and immediately dismissed the warranty claim without examination. While I understand repairs aren't perfect, I'm disappointed they are unwilling to stand behind their work and honor the warranty on what is clearly a post-repair defect. I went from a satisfied customer who would have returned and recommended them to someone who can no longer do so. Potential customers should be aware that warranty support may not be reliable here. EDIT: Contrary to the response below the phone was never physically inspected. Rather, the response was based on a set of photos sent showing the issue which, alone, would be virtually impossible to come to a conclusion of physical damage versus defective product. As a customer, you are in a no win situation here as no matter what happens they are going to blame you and not the manufacturer or installation for the problem.

I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

I took the book to Apple genius bar and they told me my hard drive was bad. Any how they installed new hard drive with fresh operating system for me since the computer was under protection plan. Mac recommended me to take the hard drive to some company for data recovery; they also referred me few name but those companies were in California. Here the problem was. I can not send my drive to some other city with out knowing who is looking into my personal data. Now my search begins for someone local. I picked up Yellow pages and start calling around. In yellow page most of the business which I called were closed down or asking too much for the data recovery. I used internet to find some local company and also called around for help. I dealt with the same scenario; most of the business never answered and few of them asked me too much. In my search and call around experience, I learned one thing. When a hard drive fails, it fails from software problem and hardware issues. Software problem are minor and local computer stores can handle the issue; however, if your hard drive have a hardware issue, then you are doomed. You need to take it to some Recovery Company because local computer stores do not go beyond software recovery. In fact guys, if you know little bit about computers you can do software recovery at home by your self. Just Google it. Also hard drive problems could be dead hard drive, drive making some noise. Finally, I found this one recovery company which was few minutes drive from my house named as Promise data recovery. Web site, http://www.promise-data-recovery.com, I decided to take the drive to them. They quoted me a grand for the recovery. One grand is too much for a domestic user like me but my unreplacing data was there so I decided to go ahead with that. I have to pay that amount after dividing it on three different credit cards once my data was ready. Here the whole point of this review. If your computer stopped working due to a faulty hard drive, then you need to figure out if the drive has a software issue or hardware failure. Find it out. Fix software issues by your self or take it to some local computer store. For hardware failure you do not have much choice. You need to take it to professionals and you are looking at minimum of a grand. Either get rid of the damage drive and forget about the data or wait until you have enough funds to come up with the amount and then find some one local.

We ran several diagnostic tests and they all pointed to a FAILING HARD DRIVE. We found Computerzone USA on YELP and called and was told by the owner Sultan Shariff to come in anytime for a hard drive replacement - for which he quoted a price. Upon pick up we noticed several files missing and most other files, pictures, and on-screen icons all jumbled - nor could we open our voluminous MS Outlook. Yikes - so much stress! Best I could tell, he tried to install some upgraded software that caused that problem. He quickly volunteered to fix it upon returning the computer next day and to mirror the EXACT INSTALLATION we had previously.
