We had the hardest decision to make, when we found out our wheaten had an aggressive cancer. We looked around for someone to come to our house, and could t believe the prices or the extremely early time frames. Dr. Bonnie helped us set up our appointment, answered all of our questions, and encouraged us to look at other places if we had not! That alone stood out to me. As a dog trainer, I have helped so many clients with this process, and this is a company that is one in a million. Dr. Gina, let us know when she was arriving (on time), and gave us as much time as we needed through the process, she did not rush, and talked us through it, and what to expect. She gave us as much time as we needed too. We choose private cremation, and I wanted to pick up our fur baby personally, since we use a mobile vet, and I did not feel comfortable with him in the mail. They made arrangements for me to do so, and everything was so easy, and they made it painless. Our baby was home within 5 days! Most of the time , I've experienced two weeks. They even sent us a check in email to see how we are doing. They drove 50 miles out to us, and it was only $60 more dollars for them, the cremation, our cedar urn, and the 50 mile driving, than if we would have gone to a vet office. Our sweet boy was telling us it was time. We had a long night, and in the morning it was apparent that Kona was ready to leave us. I called our Vet to find our who they would recommend to come to our house to assist Kona in a peaceful transition. She gave us 5 companies that offer this amazing service. They showed up on time. I can't explain it, but Kona perked up like he was totally fine when he saw her walk in (the vet). I thought, oh no, did I misread the last 20 hours? I had to make the same hard decision as a lot of the other reviewers on here with my dog that I loved dearly. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done and Dr. Falcone displayed masterful composure and overall perfect sensitivity to the situation. As many emotions as I was having, it was hard not to be impressed with the level of professionalism that she displayed, starting from the text that she was on her way to the explanations of everything as it was happening and all the "after the fact" parts of the process. That is definitely the part worth mentioning first. Other than that, the scheduling was easy. Mine was a somewhat sudden and urgent situation and I was able to schedule same day which I appreciated that availability. I got a follow up phone call because there was a category (and fee) that I forgot to check associated with a late appointment and the person on the phone was at least nice about that and sensitive to the situation. It's definitely an added cost as opposed to other options when it came to how to go about arranging this hard decision and process but it was very clear that this was the right situation for my dog. I had already had to take her to the vet which made her nervous and scared and I knew this was a better alternative for her and me to make sure I helped make her final moments as comfortable as possible. It is always hard to lose a pet and when my Oreo, who was 14 began to fail quickly in less than a week, I knew it was her time. Restful Pets came to my house and so very gently allowed my Oreo to pass over the rainbow. As much as this hurt, it had to be done and the doctor that took care of Oreo was so full of compassion and love. Oreo was not relaxing with her first shot to relax her, so she got two more shots which allowed her to quit being in pain and allow us to say goodbye. It was so so very hard, but Restful Pets made this horrible situation so much easer and with the compassion we all need when we have to let a pet go. I live in far East Valley and the doctor drove from North Phoenix to my home on a Friday night. This was such a blessing as my poor Oreo was suffering. This cost me $510 which is more than reasonable considering the cost it would have been to take her in to a vet when she was in bad pain. Restful Pets was not the first place I called since they were not the first on the google search, but they were the only ones that would come that day at 9:00 p.m. to take away Oreos pain. You can't imagine how relived I was to know that Oreo would not have to suffer for another 24 hours. If you have to let a pup go, please consider Restful Pets! Even though I don't expect to lose another of my dogs for a few years, I am keeping this contact as this is the most humane way to allow your pups to go to heaven. After finding out 2 months ago that my 12 year old dog, Chloe, had a mass on her spleen I did some research and decided that I did not want to pursue surgery. I also knew that I did not want to wait until the mass ruptured Chloe's spleen, to put her down. These things are hard to time, of course, and I was very stressed over what to do. I got a consultation appointment with Dr. Fox and had a long talk with her. I really appreciated being able to have this discussion. She understood my decision to not have the surgery for my senior dog and she told me how I could monitor Chloe over the next couple of months, though there was no guarantees I would pick up on signs before the mass burst. Almost two months later Chloe was having gastrointestinal issues and her behavior was different, so I made the decision to put her down. If you're reading this, I first want to say sorry as I know your heart is hurting and you're about to make one of the toughest decisions in your life. I went through this 2 weeks ago with my almost 17 year old cat. My cat was a feisty, ornery one who wouldn't let anyone touch her. This was my biggest concern. I knew we were nearing the end with her hyperthyroidism and I couldn't put her through the trauma of being in a kennel, car ride, smell of a vets office, waiting and cold table for them to exam but not after she fights them off because literally I was the only who can touch her. I called first for the hospice visit so one of the veterinarians could observe her, from a distance, in her own environment to see if they could confirm what I already knew but was in denial of. They did, she was in respiratory distress and it wasn't looking good. I couldn't continue to put her through these on-site traumatic vet visits if I'm only prolonging the inevitable as her quality of life has already suffered enough, it would only be for my own selfishness to let her live any longer. I could see it in her eyes it was time. Dr. Gina Sarnelli was so sweet, gentle, patient, thorough, explained everything in detail and waited until I was ready. My sweet girl passed peacefully in our home while I was hugging and kissing her. Dr. Gina then gently created paw prints into clay for me. She wrapped her up in a soft blanket like a baby with her head still exposed and took her away, with all the dignity, respect, and love she deserved. It was the best possible outcome and experience for such a sad situation. I will never ever again take my pet to a vet for their last moments if I can help it. Even if they said there's nothing left to do during a visit, I'd bring them home and call All About Restful Pets so they can take their last breath in their own home. But by Saturday it was very clear that she was suffering and we didn't think it was right to make her wait until the appt. So now here it is Saturday and the vets aren't open. I have been waiting to write this review for when it wasn't so hard to think about. We had an at home appointment scheduled with an "in the neighborhood" service for a Wed afternoon and one of our dogs had a stroke the evening before. I called and talked to the owner and she said she would call one of her vets in the field and get back with me. When she called back she walked me through her website. The vet let me know when she was on her way. When she showed up (earlier than I expected) she was great with my family and my two dogs. I was not sure how we would all handle it but she was very aware how different we were and let us have our moment with them. The little paw imprints are so valued. please save yourself the heartache and use someone else. the owner Bonnie does not care about you or your pet. she cares about how much money she can get off you. we were in hospice care for 5 weeks and when the day came I was told that both her hospice vets were off for the next 4 days. I was told to take my 13 year old 90 pound crippled and dying dog to an emergency hospital..they simply do not have the man power to offer hospice services. on the day I had to put my dog down they totally left me hanging. all the vets have 3and4 other jobs so they don't have the time to dedicate to this business. Bonnie is not a vet nor a vet tech she has had no hospice training nor does she know anything about the cases and those are the words of the vet not mine.you don't need what could possibly be the worst day of your life to be even worse so please consider using Luna vet care for euthinasia or peaceful passings for your hospice or euthinasia needs. they came to my rescue within 3 hours of Bonnie's nonsense.and they had a full schedule but they fit me in after explaining the nightmare Bonnie had just put us thru.. they are also cheaper on individual creamation. that's individual not partioned. save yourself the heartache. read more
