Compassionate care for a difficult time. Having this done at our home was so much nicer than an office.

After a recommendation to use Happy Endings from our primary vet, we called on Dr. Fixler when we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our dog Sadie, who was quickly declining. It was the week of Thanksgiving and Dr. Fixler accommodated an after hours visit that same day given the situation. Dr. Fixler and his assistant were very compassionate, explained things well, and acted quickly to make sure our Sadie was given the most peaceful transition possible. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be pre and post communication with an email confirmation and status update on cremation. I called several times, they were always helpful and answered my questions, but proactive communication would improve the experience. read more

We have had to use the services of Dr. Fixler twice now. It's always an extremely painful decision but Dr. Fixler and his staff are so incredibly kind that it helps to make the experience a little more manageable. Dr. Fixler is thorough in asking about what is going on with your pet as well as explaining how the process will go. He is warm, gentle and empathetic. Being able to have your beloved baby cross over in the comfort of their own home with only loving energy around them is beyond valuable and we appreciate the service Happy Endings provides more than we can say. read more

I'm soooo glad I found out about this option I never knew this existed. Dr. Fixler and his assistant are the best, very caring and empathetic. It made one of my worst days manageable. And I feel that my beloved fur baby was able to cross over in peace and not stressed. This is BY FAR the only way to do this when the time comes. Thank you Dr Fixler for your compassion and professionalism. read more

Dr Fixler and his team are absolutely wonderful. It is so hard to say goodbye to a beloved pet, and Dr Fixler not only provides an incredible and peaceful service for our fur babies, but he does it with compassion and dignity. We had to finally say farewell to our kitty this morning and now that we've worked with Happy Endings, we will never do it any other way. He and his assistant came to our home, did a compassionate and thorough health check of our kitty to ensure it was the right time and then gave him the most peaceful and beautiful send-off. It was so much better than the trauma of taking our little guy to the vet's office where he's scared and anxious. HUGE thanks to Dr Fixler and his entire team for their compassion and professionalism! read more

Having to perform a search for pet euthanasia services was one of the hardest things I have ever done. It meant coming to terms with the fact that my precious little pup was at the end of her life and I would have to say goodbye to her. Honestly, I never thought I would rely on Yelp, off all things for this difficult choice, but reading these reviews really helped me come to a conclusion. So I am adding my own review in hopes that it will assist another person suffering with this awful task. Happy Endings was fantastic to work with. They were able to schedule to come out to our home within 24 hours, they explained their services and the procedures. I felt very informed and respected throughout the process. When they arrived they offered comfort and understanding. They were patient and kind. They made an incredibly painful situation a little easier to get through. If you're reading this and have to consider saying your hardest goodbye, I'm so sorry. Please know that you and your cherished friend are in good hands. read more

Happy Endings was the best. Our beloved 14 year old dog Qiang went downhill fast, and we didn't want him to suffer any longer than necessary. Dr. Fixler and his tech made time to see us same day. They knew exactly how and what to do, providing loving and gentle kindness during this delicate service for us in this extremely difficult time. Thank you for helping us give our Qiang the best in end-of-life service, and with the dignity he so deserved. read more

It is always such a hard decision to say goodbye to your best friend. Dr. Fixler and his tech ensured my family and me that we were making the best decision for our boy Junior. This was my first at home goodbye and I will never do it any other way with any other company in the future. Thank you for making the experience as good as it could possibly be. The team were patient with us as we said goodbye, gave us time alone with junior, there was no rush, and everything was explained in such an empathetic way. Thank you happy endings for helping our boy cross the rainbow bridge peacefully to be with his brothers. read more

My 18 year-old cat went downhill very quickly, and I knew it was her time to go. Happy Endings was able to schedule an appointment the day that I called, and they showed up right on time. Dr. Fixler and Haley were amazing. They were very empathetic (but not so much that I fell apart), they explained the procedure, and they were very gentle with her. It is so obvious that they are animal lovers, and they showed great respect for her throughout the process. I appreciate their kindness and compassion. read more

Putting my cat down was one of the hardest days of my life but being able to do it at home where he was comfortable was such a blessing. The staff was incredibly kind and patient. Holding him while he passed was both hard and something I'm extremely thankful for. I chose to have his ash's returned to me and they had it hand delivered by a local currier. Thank you Dr. Fixler for your compassion and care with our beloved dog, Wyatt. You and your assistant provided the love and consideration we truly needed during this awful time. Extraordinary and tender gestures to combat our grief, and masks with social distancing during Covid-19. You are forever special to us, beyond words, and we are both grateful for your presence on our patio this morning. read more

We have never been so pleasantly surprised as we were with Happy Endings. Had never met Dr. Fixler, saw his website online on Sunday night & he was here on Tuesday. Our 18 yr. old had been sick for quite a while, we knew he was ready, we were not, but who is? Dr. Fixler & Grace are 2 of the kindest people you could ever hope to have in your home at such a sad & stressful time. Teddy, our baby was so calm when they went to his bed. For such a traumatic time for Teddy & us, it could not have been anymore loving & peaceful. We didn't know there was a service like Happy Endings & we are so thankful we met them. We have told others what a perfect way to give your pet the ultimate loving gift of no pain at the end of a beautiful life. Kay & Kendra read more

One of the roughest days ever! Having to say goodbye to one of our babies was so emotional. I was a wreck and so was the rest of my family. We all got to say our goodbyes in private, our dog was in her home with familiar surroundings and those that loved her most. Our other dog got to say his farewell too. So compassionate and understanding... Dr Fixler and his assistant were absolutely wonderful. I have shared my story with family and friends many times about how great this service is during a time that is heart-wrenchingly painful. Thank you for being so caring! read more

I saw a review for Happy Endings a couple of years ago, and saved it in my contacts, just in case. That just in case time came last week when we had to say goodbye to our sweet 12-year-old Basset Hound, Fonzi. Not wanting to cause her any more stress, I called Happy Endings and spoke with a very kind person, who explained our options. They were awesome from the start, and we felt comfortable and comforted by Dr. Fixler and his tech as he explained the process. We were not hurried in our goodbyes. I recently had to make the necessary decision to let my 15 yr old coonhound go to a more peaceful place. I called several other services, but was so very thankful a friend told me about Dr. Fixler and his team. Although I've had many pets in the past, I've never used a service like this before, and wasn't sure what to expect. Not only were they extremely empathetic, but they politely listened to me through my tears, and politely answered all my questions. What I thought might be a traumatic experience turned into a much more positive experience for both me and Bocephus. I was greatfull to be able to have Bo be comfortable and at ease in familiar surroundings. Dr. Fixler and his team allowed me to take all the time I needed to say goodby. I'll never this any other way again. Thank you Dr. Fixler and team. read more

I'm so glad I found this place. Nothing more traumatizing than having to put your pet down, especially if the animal is frightened and it's in a foreign place that you don't feel comfortable. This made the experience so much easier, and the privacy allowed me to mourn the way that I needed to. The vet and tech were extremely gentle and soft and kind, it really just made this process that much easier. As much as I appreciate this company, I wish I wouldn't have to use them again, but that is the price we pay for having animals, and with that being said, I have two other cats, so I will definitely be using Happy Endings in the future for when I have to make another hard decision. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for providing these services, and for being gentle during the process. I can't recommend them enough read more

I had a good experience. Sad under the circumstances, but overall handled with the upmost care. I said goodbye to my 17 year old good girl. Dr. Michael Fixler and his team helped make a difficult time more personal and worthy of our 18 year old baby Molly. We were so afraid because of COVID and her age that our Molly would be all alone in the VETS office, but thanks to Happy Endings she could be at home with us. The scheduling was quick and easy, they showed patience and took the time to explain each step, they were all very compassionate and caring. We would recommend them to others families in need. When Mollys remains were brought home, they included a sympathy card sharing their sincere condolences. We were very pleased with the packages they offered and we selected the Rosewood box option. Wow, what a team. I am so sincerely thankful and grateful for everyone at happy endings. Our pup was such a huge part of our family, and i couldn't bring myself to drive him to the vet to have him cross the rainbow bridge, and return home with nothing. This in home service allowed my family time, comfort and the beautiful memory of our pup calmly at peace in his favorite spot. The hardest part-for us-is having to constantly be reminded of his passing. It is a little tough to see the place he was put to rest daily, but it was the right decision for us. The Dr. and tech were so professional, and did not rush us. Super accomodating and overall wonderful! I never wanted to have to search in home euthenasia, but im glad yelp steered me in the best direction yet again. read more

Losing a pet is a horrible, evil and traumatic event. Dr. Fixler and staff do everything possible to make it as easy as something like this can be for both the pet and their owner. Recently lost a beloved dog we've had 15 years and needed their help. They were punctual, transparent in their pricing, gentle with us and our dog and respectful in how they conducted themselves and business. They explained what was happening at each step and carefully removed her when it was over. Would highly recommend using them. read more

Dear Happy Endings, I want to thank you for assisting in a task that I knew was coming for 13 years. Every little puppy we have ever brought into our home was guaranteed to one day break our hearts. Sadie was a great dog. I never recall having to scold her. She was gentle, smart, and appreciated the love we bestowed on her. She loved us and showed it every day. Nothing comes free...and last Monday, the 'emotional bill' came due. Not your bill...but the bill we had to pay with our heavy hearts over her loss. Nothing as great as a dog's love comes cheap and Monday we had to pay the price in seeing her go. But: You took a dreaded situation and made it more than OK. You and Rayana covered every base and never missed an opportunity to do the process properly. You were understanding, gentle, confident, and very punctual. You could not have done it any better. Regarding your price...It was a honor to pay your fee. How can anyone put a dollar and cent value on a service such as yours? Know that I will tell all of my friends that WHEN the time comes, to make sure they use your services. Bless you. And may Sadie rest in peace. Larry Kavich read more

Just as others have said here, I am so grateful for Dr. Fixler and Alicia. I called them to come to my home to put down my 13 year old border collie. He has a lovely demeanor - as does Alicia - and right away, Lucas was up and dropped a toy at his feet. Dr. Fixler did an exam and we discussed Lucas' symptoms and care and he told me right away that he didn't think Lucas was presenting like a dog at the end of his life. He had some ideas and the followed up with me the next day - called in prescriptions and referred me to a vet that has managed to stabilize Lucas. With luck, he'll be with me for a few more years. I know that Dr. Fixler has followed up with Dr. Newland- his referral - regarding Lucas' care. I love that there is great animal care out there and that there are vets that really care. Dr. Fixler is exceptional. And when the time comes, he will be called to my home again. I can't imagine a kinder, more lovely way for any of my animals to be treated - to be given an easier way onward, in surroundings they know and love. read more

Dr. Michael and his technician were absolutely the best! Very caring and patient. Making such a heartbreaking decision to let your furbaby go is hard enough but with the option of an in-home euthanasia your pet is in the comfort of their home, in their bed, and surrounded by their loved ones felt better. We opted for the cremation service and Happy Endings delivered our babies ashes to us promptly and in such a caring way. Highly recommend them when that time comes. read more

Thank you so much for being so incredible. I cannot thank the amazing staff for making it a peaceful and comfortable process. Recently we had to decide to let our wonderful Dobie, Ginger, cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Michael Fixler and Grace came to our home during this sad time and brought peace to Ginger. Their approach to this difficult situation helped us through. Dr. Mike and Grace continually gave us time to say to goodbye, to assure Ginger that she would be ok. When the time came, they took her gently away, gave us a hug, and, again, gave us peace with Ginger's passing. We were so worried about Ginger having to be put down in a vet office, but with Happy Endings, she was able to pass surrounded in her home, on her own bed. Today, we received Ginger's paw print with a lovely poem about the Rainbow Bridge, and we are again with her in spirit.
