I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care and compassion we received during one of the hardest moments a pet parent has to face. From beginning to end, Lucy was treated with such dignity, and I was treated with genuine kindness. The woman who called to arrange the delivery of Lucy's ashes was incredibly gentle and compassionate. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, because the way she spoke to me and handled such a painful conversation meant more than she probably realizes. Today, Paul delivered Lucy's ashes, and he was equally wonderful, kind, respectful, professional, and very mindful that what he was bringing to me wasn't simply a package. He was bringing my little girl home. When you've loved a dog for so many years, their remains aren't just "ashes," and the people entrusted with their final care matter tremendously. Every interaction I had with this company made me feel that they understood that. There is no way to make any of this easy, but there is a way to handle the people grieving with tenderness, dignity, and humanity. This company did exactly that. Ok the "bad" first with a note that it was all around amazing and I highly recommend them: If you specifically want an ink print of paw and/or nose, like other reviews mention getting, please know that apparently that's just a bonus that is sometimes included it seems, but NOT standard. I chose this company for many reasons, particularly that it came highly recommended from a friend, but I'd be lying if I said that part of the reason wasn't because of the keepsakes and the fact that I thought I was going to for sure get an ink print of his paw so I can get it tattooed. I will take some responsibility in the fact that I was not the person to directly talk with anyone as I had Less than 24 hours between realizing that my dog was terminal and needing to put him down, so I handed that responsibility off to my fiancé, who was informed that I really really wanted an ink print. But he didn't know/think specifically to ask for ink when he called the company and just said paw print. It is standard for them to give a ceramic paw print, but not ink. We just went and picked everything up and while everything else was absolutely beautiful, to say that I am absolutely DEVASTATED to not have a true ink print of his paw with all the little nuances specific to my baby is an understatement. I think it's important to add that in here because a couple other reviews that I read between yelp and Google specifically stated getting ink prints (they all said they weren't expecting them, but it did make it sound like it was a regular thing) which is why I didn't double down and follow back up myself to make sure that this happened The girl working the front desk was so sweet and did her absolute best to try to get a quick one from the mold that was used for the ceramic, but it's just not the same and it's definitely not exact With that said, this company was timely in pickup and absolutely everyone we've interacted with was so sweet. It truly does seem like they take care of your pet as if it were their own. What we got, which is the standard: ceramic paw print with his name, plain cedar box with his ashes, for clippings, and a heart shaped paper with wildflower seeds in it to plant. One day I'll come down from the disappointment about the ink print and I'm definitely kicking myself for not just getting an ink pad and paper on that final day. We recently had to say goodbye to our dog, August, who was a part of our family for over 14 years. I met the owners through a school event and you can immediately tell how much they care about what they do and how important it is to them that every pet is treated like their own. They went above and beyond to take care of our family. We are so grateful to have had the option of a natural and eco friendly cremation that actually treats your loved one with the dignity and respect that they deserve. They came and collected our pet and explained what was going to happen and how long the process would take. Just after about a week they called us and explained that our pets remains were ready to be picked up. We went to their location and were greeted with empathy, kindness, and patience. Even though we arrived near closing time, Matthew and Michelle stayed until we were ready to leave. They go the extra mile because they care so much and want to help as many people as they're able to. Aside from the remains of our loved one, there are so many mementos and keepsakes of our pet that we received with the individual cremation. There is a ceramic paw impression and a lock of his fur carefully placed in a decorative container. They also gave us a paper heart that had seeds to plant in memory of our dog. His remains were contained in a cedar box which Matthew explained that they are moving away from. He showed us a beautiful box that would store everything and allow us to visit our pets mementos and his remains if we wanted to see them or if we wanted to spread them. It is very ecological and easier for families to visit their pets remains. We spent a long time with Matthew who explained how he also lost a pet and was in the same situation we were in, and that is the main reason he and Michelle started Aquacrossings. Matthew and his team were awesome! My daughter's first pet Sage (hamster) passed away while she was getting ready for school one morning. I called AquaCrossings and Matthew the owner answered. He was very kind and sympathetic. He explained the aqua cremation process and answered any questions I had. He personally came to my home to pick Sage up and brought something to carry him in. He was SO gentle. He was very patient and allowed us to say our goodbyes. He also brought pamphlets on grief and how to help your child grief. A week later we got a call to pick Sage up. Matthew brought us back to a very nice room and brought Sage's memory box in. He was nice enough to print and place memory pictures that we emailed him in the box which we appreciated. The memory box was beautifully put together. He also place Sage's paw prints in the box that my daughter will cherish forever. The entire process was beautifully handled and I highly recommend him and his team. I will be coming to AquaCrossings for all of my pets because I know that they will treat my pets the best and with love.
