Even though I knew this moment was coming, no one can truly be prepared to wake up to find your beloved pet has passed away overnight. It was very difficult emotionally to process the loss, let alone trying to figure out what to do with his body. I called a few places that I found online, but the only person to call me back was Desmond (in 10 minutes no less!). He was able to drive over to our house right away. Desmond was kind, supportive, and very helpful. When he gave us his business card, I noticed a photo of one of his Dobermans on the card. It felt like a sign from above that my little Joey was going to be well taken care of. When Joey's ashes were ready, Desmond drove the remains back to our house and delivered the most wonderful package. The urn is a gorgeous wood box, and the clay paw print comes with a small display stand. Some of Joey's fur was also included in a little glass bottle. The note from the cremation center said a tree was planted as well. I've had other pets cremated in the past, but this is by far the most beautiful package I've seen. I would highly recommend Peaceful Pet Transport to anyone in this situation. Desmond is truly an angel and I'm very appreciative for his help through an extremely difficult time.

From beginning to end, Lucy was treated with such dignity, and I was treated with genuine kindness. The woman who called to arrange the delivery of Lucy's ashes was incredibly gentle and compassionate. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, because the way she spoke to me and handled such a painful conversation meant more than she probably realizes. Today, Paul delivered Lucy's ashes, and he was equally wonderful, kind, respectful, professional, and very mindful that what he was bringing to me wasn't simply a package. He was bringing my little girl home. When you've loved a dog for so many years, their remains aren't just "ashes," and the people entrusted with their final care matter tremendously. Every interaction I had with this company made me feel that they understood that. There is no way to make any of this easy, but there is a way to handle the people grieving with tenderness, dignity, and humanity. This company did exactly that. Thank you for taking such good care of Lucy, and thank you for bringing her home to me with so much kindness. I will never forget it.

I chose this company for many reasons, particularly that it came highly recommended from a friend, but I'd be lying if I said that part of the reason wasn't because of the keepsakes and the fact that I thought I was going to for sure get an ink print of his paw so I can get it tattooed. I will take some responsibility in the fact that I was not the person to directly talk with anyone as I had Less than 24 hours between realizing that my dog was terminal and needing to put him down, so I handed that responsibility off to my fiancé, who was informed that I really really wanted an ink print. But he didn't know/think specifically to ask for ink when he called the company and just said paw print. It is standard for them to give a ceramic paw print, but not ink. We just went and picked everything up and while everything else was absolutely beautiful, to say that I am absolutely DEVASTATED to not have a true ink print of his paw with all the little nuances specific to my baby is an understatement. I think it's important to add that in here because a couple other reviews that I read between yelp and Google specifically stated getting ink prints (they all said they weren't expecting them, but it did make it sound like it was a regular thing) which is why I didn't double down and follow back up myself to make sure that this happened The girl working the front desk was so sweet and did her absolute best to try to get a quick one from the mold that was used for the ceramic, but it's just not the same and it's definitely not exact With that said, this company was timely in pickup and absolutely everyone we've interacted with was so sweet. It truly does seem like they take care of your pet as if it were their own. What we got, which is the standard: ceramic paw print with his name, plain cedar box with his ashes, for clippings, and a heart shaped paper with wildflower seeds in it to plant. One day I'll come down from the disappointment about the ink print and I'm definitely kicking myself for not just getting an ink pad and paper on that final day. Regardless of that, I highly recommend this company

Our sweetest 13 year old mix, Nemmie, took a sharp turn for the worse after a brief battle with splenic cancer. I reached out to AARP on a Friday in hopes of scheduling them over the weekend. I was able to schedule online, and Shelley reached out the following morning to confirm the appointment and provide resources and instructions. Unfortunately, Nemmie's condition rapidly declined and it was clear that she would not make it to the original appointment. I reached out the Shelley, who was able to reschedule our appointment to that same day to make sure our sweet girl could be put to rest with dignity and little to no suffering. Dr. Falcone was the vet assigned to us. She called me roughly 30 minutes prior to the appointment time, letting me know that she was in the area and could arrive before the 12pm appointment. However, she also let us know that it was completely okay if we wanted her to wait until the original appointment time so we could spend an extra few minutes with our girl. She arrived promptly at the appointment time, and was nothing short of an angel for our girl (and for us) throughout the entire experience. I can imagine that having her job would not be an easy one. However, she handled our situation with such grace, empathy, and kindness. Before the procedure started, she took the time to walk us through each step of the process. She also made sure to be as gentle as possible, while getting Nemmie as comfortable as possible before everything started. We also have another dog in the house, who was very curious about what was going on. Dr. Falcone was so sweet to him as well, and let him sniff her, give licks, and be all up in her business prior to the procedure starting. She also did not rush us at any point in the slightest, and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our sweet girl. Once the procedure had finished and Nemmie was no longer with us, again, Dr. Falcone let us have as much time as wanted to say our final goodbyes. She also allowed me the privilege of lifting my girl onto the stretcher, covering her with a blanket, and helping carry her out of our house and to Dr. Falcone's car for transportation to the crematorium. One small little touch that I'll forever remember. She was also very clear that there are two options for having your dog's ashes returned to you: either having them shipped to the vet, or shipped directly to your home. AARP's services, quality of care, and empathy for their clients & their pets are truly second to none. The opportunity to have been able to put our girl to rest in the comfort of her lifelong home while surrounded by love and comfort, is truly something that you can't put a price on. When your inevitable duty as a pet parent to see your pet off to the Rainbow Bridge comes, I can't recommend using All About Restful Pets enough. They truly are the best at what they do, and make the worst day of your life just a little bit better.

Although I took their information, I didn't think much about it until my 10-year-old Mastiff, Hagrid, was diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. When we initially planned to have him put down, I intended to go with the traditional cremation option. However, I remembered Cholla and decided to cancel the cremation to give them a call. I can honestly say I am so grateful I found out about them. They were fantastic and offered the option of a sprinkling ceremony, which allowed us to place flowers and herbs on Hagrid before he began his journey. It was a beautiful experience that meant so much to my family and me. Additionally, Cholla collaborates with a shelter for older animals. When I dropped Hagrid off, I was able to donate some of his items, knowing they would go to a good cause. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at the PetSmart on Stapley today…read more I purchased a bag of pet food and used my rewards points toward the purchase. When I got home, I noticed the bag had webs all over it. When I opened it, I found bugs and webs inside the bag. I then checked the expiration date and discovered that the food had expired FOUR MONTHS AGO. Obviously, I immediately took the food to the PetSmart to exchange it. I expected this to be a very simple situation, especially since I had literally purchased the food about an hour earlier. Unfortunately, the customer service I received made an already frustrating situation even worse. The female cashier with the nose ring and piercings on her face provided no greeting, showed very little willingness to help, and was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the fact that I had just been sold expired pet food containing bugs and webs. To make matters worse, I was initially told I needed to pay a difference for the replacement food. While the difference itself was small, that was not the point. I had used my rewards points on the original purchase, and I should not have been put in a position to pay additional money because the store sold me expired, contaminated pet food in the first place. I had just purchased it roughly an hour earlier and was simply trying to exchange an unsafe product. What really bothered me was the complete lack of effort to make the situation right. Mistakes happen, but when a customer is sold pet food that is four months expired and contains bugs and webs, the appropriate response should be an apology and a genuine effort to resolve the issue--not an attitude that makes the customer feel like they are inconveniencing the employee. The condition of the food is a serious quality-control issue, and the customer service I received afterward was equally disappointing. The employee working the front counter needs additional training on basic customer service, professionalism, and handling situations where the store is clearly at fault. I hope PetSmart takes this seriously and checks the inventory on their shelves to make sure other customers aren't unknowingly purchasing expired or contaminated pet food.
