What is the price of your flat fee? I am planning for a future passing of a pet.. won't need euthanasia, just pickup and cremation.. clay paw print also. Live on the west side…

The fee for cremating our cat was $200, including container and paw print. I brought our deceased cat and pick up the remains about two days later. I believe their costs vary, based on size/weight. Don't hesitate to call them if you have questions.… Read more

Although I took their information, I didn't think much about it until my 10-year-old Mastiff, Hagrid, was diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. When we initially planned to have him put down, I intended to go with the traditional cremation option. However, I remembered Cholla and decided to cancel the cremation to give them a call. I can honestly say I am so grateful I found out about them. They were fantastic and offered the option of a sprinkling ceremony, which allowed us to place flowers and herbs on Hagrid before he began his journey. It was a beautiful experience that meant so much to my family and me. Additionally, Cholla collaborates with a shelter for older animals. When I dropped Hagrid off, I was able to donate some of his items, knowing they would go to a good cause. I miss my old man dearly, but I cannot express enough how thankful I am for Cholla Afterlife.

We knew that death was close, but my daughter and I couldn't possibly cope with waiting even one more day and risk finding her dead, hidden away somewhere. Since my daughter was emotionally overwrought and unable to make any kind of decision, I did what mothers always do: I took charge. Since we had been to this emergency vet before, and they are open 24 hours a day (thank heavens!), I left my daughter at home and drove our poor failing kitty down to them for euthanasia. From the moment I walked in the door, the wonderful staff took charge immediately and were extremely compassionate and kind to me. After ushering kitty and me to their private 'family bereavement' room, they walked me through all the options available for when a beloved pet is being put to sleep, and they were very sensitive to my feelings...and my sobbing so hard, I could barely speak. Their kindness made this whole necessary event much more bearable for me. After it was mercifully over, I was able to go back home and give my daughter a good report and assure her that our much-loved kitty was treated very kindly at the end and didn't suffer one bit. I highly, highly recommend Southern Az. Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center for their skilled professionalism and compassion, AND especially for being available 24 hours a day, even on a Sunday! Thank you so much!

After trying to explain why I was there with him ignoring me, the other lady on the internal side over minded him and tried to help me. Once they took my dog back and told me her vitals were stable, they charged me $175, I was asked if i wanted to go another vet because it would be hours here, they didn't even want to help me besides telling me her vitals were stable. I'm beyond disappointed in how I was treated and the dismissiveness of what my dog had going on. I had another one of my dogs euthanized here a few years back.......I thought it was a good place. My experience with that lazy front desk man at the emergency client check in has changed my perception entirely of this place along with feeling like i was being pushed out the entire time. I will never recommended this place to anyone, actually the opposite I'll make sure to name it as a place no one should go to for any veterinary services. I had to take my dog to another place immediately after coming here.

The timing was impeccable. Second, once we got to VCA Valley we were greeted by very welcoming receptionists who got us checked in immediately, we were seen within 10/15 minutes of getting there by a vet tech named Alex, and brought to an exam room. he was amazing and went through all the notes the call center employee noted, we explained Daisy's full history, he checked her vitals and was so gentle with her as she was very nervous. Then we were shortly seen by Dr Zatlow (spelling may be wrong but i know they refer to her as Dr Z!) and she was very compassionate, she listened attentively, she gave us a thorough explanation and examined Daisy accordingly all with us present in the exam room. She stated all her concerns and then laid out a treatment plan for us that fit within our budget (as we were facing some financial difficulties at this time) Alex did a phenomenal job of explaining CareClub to us and the advantage of using that plan to minimise the up front cost for Daisy to have blood work done. They also refilled her prescription for her valley fever medication and seizure medication AND sent us home with a steroid for her autoimmune disorder. The next day i contacted them again to schedule her blood draw and i expressed to them i wanted to keep her appointments with Dr Z and her team and they fitted me in with a blood draw for the following day at 11AM So 01/07 we went and got her blood drawn, they again greeted us very welcoming, they got us into an exam room within 15 mins, they checked her vitals again and took her back for the draw which took no longer than 15/20 mins. We spoke with Dr Z again and she spoke to us further about what our focus is and what our next steps will be. They informed us that the blood samples would be sent out that night and we would get the results by the weekend, this visit again was very informative and we left very satisfied with the care Daisy was given. The unfortunate part of all this, was that my dogs health took a pretty rapid decline, this was no ones fault other than the relapse in her condition was working rapidly and she was showing very bad signs, we contacted VCA valley that same night (01/07 around 9pm) and we were told we would receive a call from the emergency techs who would triage her via phone to tell us if we needed to bring her in or not (and this triage call is of no cost to us, it is not considered an exam so there is no fee). This visit was the longest of all of them, Daisy was taken back immediately and in the back for about an hour before we got taken into an exam room. after Megan spoke with the Doctor the Doctor then came to us (i do not remember this Dr's name but she was also very kind, compassionate and thorough in all her explanations) she outlined the severity of Daisy's symptoms and the extent of the care that she would need and the risks involved, and after a lot of discussion with my partner we decided it was ABSOLUTELY in Daisy's best interest to let her sleep peacefully. And although this was such an unexpected decision and it absolutely broke me to do it, i NEVER felt pressured to do this, Megan the vet tech and the Doctor did not force me to do this, they gave me every option possible. They got her comfortable, They brought her to me and gave me and my partner time to say goodbye, i had decided i didnt want to be present while they put her to sleep as it was just too hard for me. Megan the tech stayed with me in the lobby while i waited for my boyfriend to come out the exam room. She was sleeping eternally at 3am on 01/08 The paperwork was easy, i signed and picked out the urn for my baby, due to our financial situation we signed a "promise to pay" for me to pay over the next week so i could get her ashes back. It was all very simple and affordable and they are working with a timeline that fits my pay schedule. I just have to end this very long winded review that the specific drs and techs that we saw were absolutely amazing, i would recommend trying to get appointments with Dr Z and her team if you can, Im happy that they even gave my baby a chance to try and treat her condition, her health just declined so rapidly and that was no ones fault. Thank you VCA for giving my girl a chance, it gave me a few extra days to love on her before letting her rest with dignity and peace.

She had bad anxiety around people that she didn't know but trusted me completely. They insisted on taking her into the back room and doing a wellness check on her without me. I didn't like how they were forcefully separated us so I left with my cat to go somewhere else so they charged me $350 for an "exam fee" When I protested they held my cat until I submitted payment. My cat was in pain and I didn't have time to go back and forth with some ignorant receptionist so paid them and went elsewhere. I wouldn't go here if it was the last vet on earth. I brought…read moremy dog Elio in on April 11 with serious and sudden changes in behavior: lethargy, urinating in the house, and sleeping in odd places. Dr. Grady dismissed these symptoms as signs of aging and did not run any diagnostics, not even basic bloodwork. Less than three weeks later, Elio passed away from undetected abdominal cancer. What followed made everything worse. I reached out multiple times to express my concerns and grief and was met with silence for nearly three weeks. Arianna Carter, the practice manager, eventually responded but made repeated attempts to call me despite my being Deaf and having made it abundantly clear, verbally and in writing, that I can only communicate by email or text. This disregard for my access needs added to my pain and made me feel completely disrespected. Even after I explicitly requested email communication, I was still told a phone call had been attempted and only then received a generic response explaining the nature of the cancer. While I appreciate the medical explanation, it did not address the lack of urgency, the poor communication, or the failure to acknowledge the harm caused by their delay. I'm sharing this not out of spite, but because I would not want another pet owner, especially one who is Deaf or disabled, to go through what I did. I hope Jackpot Veterinary Center takes a serious look at how they handle client communication, medical concerns, and accessibility.

I definitely went to the wrong place, they took Kitty into the back and assured me they were going to "hook her up" and then I could say goodbye and they would put her down in front of me. They took her into the other room full of barking dogs and she was dead when they brought her back. I have had so many sleepless nights and I am full of regret from bringing her to this place. 21 years of warm memories with a beloved friend and it's all turned into a trauma dump for me because all I can think about is how I let her down, I wasn't there for her at the end. She died in a strangers arms wondering where I was in front of a wall of barking caged up dogs. I never wanted to leave her side but the vet tech assured me she would be right back and would be fine. This is easily the worst experience from any single business in my lifetime. They brought back a lifeless cat and tried to play it off.... If I didn't have a baby and a busy schedule I would be pursuing legal action against these monsters. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I understand I brought my cat there to be put down, but they forced her away from me and did it with me in the other room. when I came back to pick up her ashes they described her as "the really squirmy one" she didn't trust many people and I was by far her favorite, I could've calmed her down and let her end be peaceful but this business ensured that she died terrified.
