I will forever be grateful to Dr. Collins for the compassion and kindness she showed us when she came to our home to help our dog pass peacefully. She educated and guided me through an incredibly difficult decision, and gave me peace with the decision. She was patient, calming, and reassuring, and made space for my tears without ever rushing us. She gave us the gift of a peaceful goodbye and even created a beautiful paw print keepsake that I will treasure. As a hospice nurse, I deeply appreciate the importance of compassionate end-of-life care- pets are family too. Care providers can really influence the way we remember and experience a loved one's passing. I will always be grateful and highly recommend her. read more

I had to seek services with this place after a horrible grooming experience in Phoenix my pet Chief whom passed hours after a neglectful grooming experience in the South Mountain area. Pets at Rest was very professional and made me feel that my beloved pet was cremated and returned to me which gave me some comfort in Chief's passing. Yesterday, 06/26/25, was the last day I got to spend with my ride-or-die Misty, a 15-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. I knew saying goodbye was not going to be easy, but her decline over the last week made me sure it was time. I was referred to Dr. Kelly Collins, and as luck would have it, she was exactly what we needed. For a small additional fee, she was able to make the drive to my residence later than usual and provide the services we needed, in a quiet, dignified, professional, and caring way. After Misty passed, I was given a few extra minutes with my girl. I then carried my baby to Kelly's vehicle, hugged her, and watched her drive away, knowing my baby was in good hands. Thank you, Dr. Collins. Nothing could have made yesterday easier, but your professionalism made it acceptable. read more

Before you hire this "company" read all of the one star reviews from her previous clients. We all can't be lying, and we all are not lying. We can't respond to her posts once she replies. She scammed $685 off of our family. No return. To this Day. And worst of all, our dog died an excruciating slow death By NEVER returning the money we were not able to have her peacefully put down by another company (Being out the $685 we had set aside for this specifically). This woman honestly did not show up (and if she did, she didn't ring the doorbell, knock on the door, any thing.) at 4:10pm (10 mins after the scheduled time) I reached out after no activity at our front door/the no show, Only to discover I'd been blocked! One message had gone through though which she replied to hours later claiming she had been there. We have never received a cent back from this "company". I've never in my life seen something so egregious and cruel. Go with ANYONE else. read more

I highly recommend Pets at Rest. Our Maya was a few weeks short of turning 15 and we knew the end was coming this year. I already had a few at-home companies in mind but Maya unexpectedly got really sick over a weekend and none of the companies I had researched were available. I am so glad we took a chance and called Dr. Collins. She was responsive, professional, and compassionate. She explained everything step-by-step and we had all of our questions answered. We never felt rushed and everything went smoothly. She even brought a ghost-print blanket to wrap Maya in (Weimaraners are nicknamed gray ghosts). She made a tough situation so easier to bear and even notified our vet. Thank you Dr. Collins! read more

Me and my wife needed to put down our 13 month old Chihuahua (steve) due to a Deterioration in his liver. We immediately knew we wanted this process to be done in the comfort of our home. That's when we found Dr Kelly. She was more than happy to accommodate our wishes, and was extremely professional. She even took the time to allow our other dogs the chance to say goodbye afterwards which definitely helped them. I've recommended Dr Kelly to 3 of my closest friends that have all used her and we're all extremely grateful for the care, consideration, and professionalism that Dr Kelly brings to each appointment. Do yourself and your beloved pet a huge good deed, and bring Dr. Collins into your home to help you with this most incredibly difficult situation. Such a peaceful and confirming way to say goodbye to your pet. Our beloved cat Loki became sick and was deteriorating rapidly. Bloodwork at an emergency vet confirmed he was suffering from kidney failure. I wanted Loki to be able pass peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family, so I brought him home and began searching for in-home euthanasia services, but no one was available. One provider recommended Pets At Rest, and I'm so thankful for that because Dr. Collins made a few adjustments in her schedule and was able to come on short notice. She also facilitated our wishes to have Loki cremated. The experience, although so sad, gave us comfort that we could help Loki's suffering end in the most comforting way. Dr. Collins helped us tremendously in a heartbreaking situation. I've since recommended her service to others. Call Dr. Collins first! read more

On what was an incredibly sad and difficult day, Dr. Collins was the most perfect person to help us say goodbye to our dear cat, Batman, following a short battle with lung cancer. She was available to come out the same day and was so understanding and pleasant on the phone and was so very kind to me, my family and Batman upon her arrival. We had never been through this experience before and she was incredible with explaining the procedure and treated him (and us) with kindness, respect and dignity the entire time. Allowing him to pass at home where he felt safe, comfortable and surrounded by his loved ones was the best choice we could have made and we couldn't have done it without Dr. Collins. She arranged to have Batman's cremains delivered to our vet. We couldn't have picked a more compassionate person to give us peace and comfort through such a difficult time and honor our sweet boy, Batman. I will be forever grateful to her. read more

I booked an appointment with dr collins and she was unable to come at the time we booked online, and she had just been diagnosed with covid. No big deal, I understand life happens, but we needed the service fairly immediately to be fair to our sweet doggie. Dr Collin's then charged me the processing fees for the near $600 she charged my card, even though her not being able to come was in no way our fault or responsibility. Maybe an automated online booking system for this type of service is not the best way to approach it, especially when the vet will cancel and charge you for it on a day that is already one of your worst. read more

Dr. Collins was the angel we needed to guide us through the loss of our dog Bruce. She was prompt, kind and informational. She showed compassion, empathy and kindness. I appreciate the vet's compassion (toward us and our pet) and her professionalism and excellent communication on the day we chose to euthanize our senior tabby cat who had normal energy and looked fine, but was increasingly ill inside (kidneys). Her services were the second least expensive of ones I looked at in the Valley and she's in Scottsdale. I liked all that I saw on their web site and it stated she was fully vaccinated as well. Moreover, the vet allowed me to text her to see if she could take us same-day out of area. She was willing for the usual small $25 charge. It was worth a lot to me - it needed to happen that day as Tommy was now gagging at the smell of his food. When she arrived, she was polite but wanted to know if Tommy would put up a fight. We said only if he saw her bag, so she quickly put it down and from there, suggested that one of us get him and hold him through the sedation. She was clear to tell me it's not that she doesn't care if she doesn't greet Tommy - that is to disarm him. I really appreciated her doing that and explaining it. She gave Tommy the sedative and then checked 2-3 times to be sure it took full effect. She looked at his face one time and called him "pumpkin" which was nice. (I've seen this done strictly business before.) She really comforted me with a short conversation where she affirmed that kidney disease in cats is tough and she told me "better a week early [to euthanize] than a day too late." Once Tommy was sedated, she had already laid out a nice lined paper medical blanket on our couch and she had my husband lie him down. She checked all the right places with her stethoscope to be sure he passed. For me, I like to be present with pets until the end. I have this fear of a pet still being alive and seeing me walk away from them. :( So for me, I liked seeing how this vet nicely placed Tommy's body snug into a nice blue printed drawstring bag up to his shoulders, tucked him under her arm while carrying her bag, and offered her condolences. I liked how she treated Tommy even in death. A few days later, we received a nice card in the mail from them. I would highly recommend this company for this type of service. read more

We needed someone to come out the same day as our cat was suffering. We called several other places, but they were booked. Dr. Collins had an opening and we were grateful for that, but she wasn't our first choice. She arrived at the front door without a mask. Upon coming into the house one of her first questions was if our cat liked people. We thought that was an odd question because she wasn't holding or touching her. The entire process seemed rushed. She didn't ask if we were ready before giving the anesthesia. He phone wasn't on silent and she answered two phone calls while she was here including a personal call from her son. We thought that was very unprofessional to do so. We definitely would not recommend her to anyone. The whole experience was business like as Dr. Collins seemed eager to get to her next appointment. read more

The online scheduling made the process so much easier. I really appreciated that feature. We booked a couple days out to give us more time with our girl but unfortunately that wasn't in the stars. I called Dr Collins sobbing to see if we could move our appointment to same day. How she understood me through tears is a skill in itself. Dr Collins was professional and kind and was able to come over within hours. She and her tech were very warm and made the process as comfortable as possible. They really kept our girl Pinky in mind throughout the visit and they were so sensitive. Thank you. read more

Today was one of the saddest days of our lives. Our sweet kitty was at the end stage of kidney disease, and we made the humane decision to have him put to sleep. Dr Kelly Collins answered my very distraught call, and somehow she was able to understand me through my sobs. I loved her heart immediately. She walked me though the process of making my appointment, and she arrived at our home promptly. Dr Collins was so loving and gentle to our kitty. I am not one to write reviews, but I thought it was absolutely my duty to tell anyone and everyone how very impressed I was with Dr. Kelly Collins! I had to put down my dog because he was suffering! The worst decision I have ever had to make in my lifetime! Crying right now as I right this! It was such a blessing to have Dr. Collins help me through this horrific experience! She comes right to your house! Not some cold Vet office! She was so empathetic, thoughtful and explained how you should not feel guilty, like I did so very much! I met Dr Kelly Collins Sunday as we put our old dog down in home hoping for a gentle bedside manner in home. I am not one to write a negative review. From the start I had a bad feeling the process seemed rushed she made it clear she was normally in and out of a house in 20 min. My daughter 18 was recording last minutes her and her dog we didn't think to ask it was only her and the dog laying on the floor. This upset Dr Kelly my daughter was told to turn it off after the 1st shot was given but before the 2nd the 2 get into a fight Dr Kelly threatens to kick my daughter from the room or leave the house. I start yelling at both of them that we are here only for the dog and to knock it off. This made an already horrible day unimaginable. I was absolutely floored at the unprofessionalism to engage with an upset 18 yr old and try to remove her that was not her call to make. Dr Kelly was absolutely fantastic with the dog and her attention to her comfort once I got them to stop fighting. read more

This is never an easy decision but when the time comes Dr Collins and in-home euthanasia is the very best option. I knew we were close to time with my 13 year old Boxer mix. Let me begin by saying that a service like the one Dr. Collins offers is irreplaceable. To be able to give the gift of comfort to our very best friend in her own home was nothing short of a miracle. To be honest, I was so incredibly scared of the overall experience for obvious reasons, but to have someone who is willing to explain things, handle your furry friend with a gentle hand, and remain calm is what we needed most. One of the things that provided me the most comfort was how she wrapped our beautiful friend up in blanket like a baby and gently carried her out in a way that could only be described as though she was handling the most fragile/precious thing in the world (which to us, she was). I am somebody who overthinks to a fault, and making the decision to help our girl, Meisha move on to her next life was excruciating. However, after reading through Pets At Rest's website, I sincerely gained an understanding of how important it was not to wait. Dr. Collins confirmed upon a arrival that we had made the right choice, and for this overthinking fur-kid mom, I appreciated that immensely. I'm here to encourage anyone who is struggling like I did to listen to your furry friend (they're so incredibly clear on what they need if you tune in) and to allow Dr. Collins to help out. Please take this review to heart, and know that it comes from one of the most vulnerable, raw, and honest places I've ever been. Thank you Dr. Collins. read more

I made my appointment online after researching mobile euthanasia services for weeks and after speaking on the phone with Dr. Kelly. My appointment was made 2 weeks in advance and my entire family prepared for the time to lay our sweet girl to rest. Our appointment was set for 9AM and Dr. Kelly sent me a text message at 3pm the day before saying she'd like to arrive 30 minutes early. Unfortunately that didn't work for us because of extenuating circumstances which I shared with Dr. Kelly. She then complained that my house was an hour of of her way (even though I paid in full for my service and additional for her travel fee). I asked that I she give me a call so I could further explain. We talked and she very rudely said that she found me to be very inflexible and she was stunned that I thought she'd be on time at exactly 9am. She said I should have assumed there would be a time frame window (even though my appointment was specifically for 9am). I kindly asked that she please confirm if she could make it at 9am the following day and she begrudging agreed while groaning. I found her unprofessionalism devastating during one of the most difficult times in my life. She had absolutely ZERO compassion for me and expected that I accommodate her need to change my appointment so she could still squeeze in her other appointments of the day. As if that was not bad enough she sent me another text (again NEVER a courtesy call) to cancel my appointment at almost 9pm at night claiming she suddenly didn't feel well and "had a fever". Convenient . I took the time to write this after having to take my extremely anxious, blind and ill dog to the vet 20 minutes away this morning to properly lay her to rest. I was treated with kindness, compassion and dignity the way I expected Dr. Kelly to treat me. If you are looking for an at home euthanasia please consider looking elsewhere. After you have mentally and emotionally prepared, you don't deserve to be dismissed because you're too inconvenient. read more

Her response "you should have told me that at the beginning, now we have to start over." Dr. Collins was recently called to my home to put my 19yr old CoyChow Midnight to sleep.
