George is absolutely the best in this field! He was professional, knowledgeable, dependable, and completed the replacement of our built-in BBQ grill in an outstanding fashion. He took the time to explain what he was doing and informed us how to maintain the unit. The labor cost is also reasonable. We will always select this company for all our grilling needs and any work that they cover! read more

!!!!Buyer Beware!!!! Has anybody noticed that George Brown has taken down his website and he no longer replies to messages of any kind? Mysteriously, you can no longer find him on the internet. I had a very revealing chat with Lynx and they informed me that George Brown is neither a licensed vendor nor is he a certified reseller of Lynx products. Furthermore, it appears George Brown may not have had legal possession of the grill that he sold to me and took my $$$, and that someone other than me is attributed to this product. I have escalated my contact with George Brown to the appropriate authorities. read more

I have a 6 year old Viking Gas Grill that was in need of clean up and repair. The horizontal infrared burner was lighting and the brackets for the briquets were corroded and creating flare ups. George came out and spent a full day making my grill look like new. He located brackets outside of Viking that were compatible and saved me over $100 on the replacements. He was able to get my infrared burner to ignite which saved me over $800 to replace that. Overall, I was impressed with his work ethic, his follow up, his timeliness and professionalism. Would highly recommend their service for grill maintenance and cleaning and ask for George to come out, you will not be disappointed. read more

George converted our built-in BBQ a couple of years ago so we called on him again to convert our gas fire pit to propane. George and his assistant worked quickly, did a great job, and were very courteous. I appreciate the fact that George took the time to explain what the work entailed and the pricing associated with the same. George is a good guy, experienced, knowledgeable and a veteran. I will definitely return to him for all my fire related needs. read more

Did a great job of coming out. I know a normal assement doesn't take as long as George did to see problem and work on it. It wasn't a normal issue with the fireplace but a leak and for the first time in 7 years we have a working fireplace! Very affordable for the time and effort given and very professional as well! read more

I didn't get an actual repair from George but he was super responsive and extremely helpful in making suggesting where to turn, how to fix my broken electric fireplace myself and to reset the settings. Thank you so much, George. You have been very helpful and it was much appreciated. read more

George and Char from All About Fire are the absolute best team!! I needed to have my gas fireplaced checked and tuned up for the winter. Knowledgeable, witty, and friendly, are a few words to describe these folks. Highly recommend - Book with confidence! read more

We are behind is posting this review. A couple of weeks ago, my husband contacted George at All About Fire to see if he could help fix what seemed to be a never ending problem with our fire pit. (the last guy that came out charged us $200 for a $9 part that did not fix the problem). George asked my husband a couple of questions and ask for a picture to help troubleshoot the problem. Over the phone, George explained how to fix the fire pit; problem solved at no charge! Talk about service and integrity! Thank you George. We highly recommend All About Fire! read more

I had All About Fire install a fireplace set and attach to the gas line. They were responsive, on time, did a great job, and are really nice people. No need to consider an alternative, All About Fire is the best. read more

From the moment I contacted the front office (very friendly) to the moment the job was finished I was very impressed. George, the owner and technician, was awesome. He quickly diagnosed my problem with my fireplace and told me what it was. A safety switch that had tripped. Being a simple fix he charged me a very very fair price and was in and out in a short period of time. My fireplace works great now, just in time for Christmas. Thank you George and the team at All About Fire. I would give you 10 stars but Yelp will only let me give you 5. read more

SO GREAT. Outstanding service, way beyond expectations (and a previous person i hired for this job who did a good job a few years ago). All three that came were so kind and made sure to clean up so well after done. I know, this sounds like too glowing a review but I really want to thank them for going the extra mile to clean up and bring my grill back to basically shiny new (from looking horrific). Punctual and to their word as well. They are not in a rush to finish and make sure to leave with a job well done. THANK YOU read more

This business is great. We wanted to install a gas burner and logs in our fireplace and looked at AMS and Fireplaces Plus. All About Fire was able to get the same product and install it all for for 20% less $$. They were very communicative every step of the way, professional and COVID-safe during install ... and finished early. I 100% recommend and have given their contact info to neighbors. read more

Came on scheduled time. Extremely knowledgeable. Definitely recommend for all your fire needs!

Great service, quick response, integrity and local business owner! I have a gas/propane tank firepit I purchased and had not used in about 9 months. I had tried to get it to light and saw a spark but wasn't able to get it to work. I texted George and he responded immediately and asked me some questions to try and troubleshoot. He asked for some pictures and the make and model. He noted that the cost for me to purchase a new one (bc it was on sale) could possibly be cheaper than the labor cost for him to come out, but I so appreciated his honesty and integrity that I opted to have him service it rather than have the hassle of having to assemble a new one especially since the cost was comparable and he felt confident he knew what the issue was. I was happy to support local business in our community and I just truly valued his integrity to be upfront with the cost of service. I was able to set up an appointment and he came out the next day. Luckily, it was a pretty minor fix but he was friendly, thorough and very professional! I greatly appreciate people who conduct good business like and would definitely recommend George and his company for any BBQ, firepit or grill repairs. read more

It's rare nowadays that service techs will actually attempt to help you out over the phone and not make and charge for a 'service call.' Well, George is a rare individual. He had me text him pictures so that he could try to troubleshoot over the phone in case it was something easy. It wasn't so he came out and spent a lot of time cleaning our fireplace to get it working again. He took pictures and attached them to my invoice and also provided a detailed description of the problem and the few items I needed to get from Home Depot - totaling $14. George is an honest, hardworking, and very personable fellow. All About Fire will be the only fireplace business we use and refer to. Thank you George! read more

I paid George over $500 to fix my fireplace (including parts). It worked for a day and then never worked again. I tried texting and calling the business several times, to which they told me I owed more money. I was completely paid up, there was nothing else I owed him for. I'm a single parent and $500 is far too much money to waste. George was very unprofessional when he was here and watched YouTube videos about how to fix my fireplace. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement: I'm appalled. I don't like negatively reviewing a family owned business, but in this case, it's well warranted. read more

I have never experienced anyone that worked as hard or took so much pride in a job well done as Char from All About Fire. She worked on our outdoor grill literally all day long and when she was done it looked like we had just brought it home from the factory. It sparkled! Nicely done, Char! And thanks for doing such a thorough job cleaning up! read more

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! My boyfriend and I got a new BBQ to hook up to our house but the valve connected to the house didn't match up to the hose of the BBQ. We had the BBQ sitting there for a month and with Memorial Day coming up I decided to take action. I found All About Fire on Yelp and messaged them about a quote. Within just a few minutes I had a response and called them for a quote and scheduled an appointment. They were even able to install my BBQ the same day! George was beyond amazing! He setup the BBQ connection quickly and then walked me through every part of my BBQ, how it worked, and how to maintain it. All this happened while my boyfriend was at work so I got surprise him with steaks for dinner when he got home. Couldn't have worked out better!! Thanks again! :) read more

George arrived on time and professionally troubleshooted by propane gas log remote start and replaced a broken module. He did a great job and charged a reasonable fee. George is a total pro! From the start I was impressed with his fast quote response and clearly communicating expectations on what the issue may be. He was able to schedule service next-day, resolved my issue, and at the conclusion of the job provided me with a detailed invoice and instructions on how to self-check the health of my fireplace in the future. Highly recommend! read more

George is fantastic! I sent a message and he called back immediately about the gas fireplace in my home. I wasn't sure why it wasn't working, and George spent a good deal of time with me on the phone trying to save me a service call . He even had me text him photos of my fireplace to see if he could diagnose the issue. I did have him come out -- he came the same day!!-- and he had my fireplace back in working order in under an hour and completely checked everything over to make sure it was all safe to use. He was super friendly and incredibly professional! It is great to come across businesses like his and I highly recommend him!! read more

I love living in San Diego because there are so many people who are really good at what they do. Today, I met another person - George from All About Fire. He also took the time to patiently explain a couple of things to me. Highly recommended! read more

George with All About Fire came out to assess our propane outdoor firepit. It wasn't staying lit. He quickly assessed the issue, had the parts, made the fix. This is the second time I have used George to repair my fire pit. The first repair, though I'm no expert on exactly what he did, was efficient, very fair price and he actually made a revision which made it so much easier to light! No more using a lighter. Today he came back because the igniter had stopped working...until he tried it. It started up immediately. He tried it several times to make sure it was working properly and we laughed about him being the "fire whisperer". He was so nice about it, didn't make me feel like an idiot and charged me a very fair price; just enough to cover his time and transportation. Problems with a fire pit? George is the guy to call! Did I mention he came out for the repair within 24 hours of contacting him? Yes, he's that good. read more

George and Char are awesome! I reached out to All About Fire initially to just clean the outdoor BBQ at our new home and learned there was quite a bit more damage to it than what the home inspection had found. George provided a recommendation based on the cost to replace parts vs. replacing the whole unit and we decided to have the parts replaced and the BBQ cleaned. Char did an amazing job bringing back to life our 20-year-old, heavily used BBQ. read more

George and Jessica are terrific! This company is so customer-service oriented and truly went above and beyond to help us deal with a new patio heater that did not work from the time we received it. I highly recommend All About Fire if you are looking for knowledgeable, professional people with integrity and great customer service! read more

George is the best. We had problems with our gas fireplace and called a plumber to take a look. We were told we might have to knock down the firewall. Ouch....Then I tried George. I called George and described our Weber gas grill that is about 25 years old. I needed to get the burners replaced, and if possible, the igniter. After some discussion, we arranged an appointment and he sent able technician Char out to do the work. And work she did! She's fantastic and VERY conscientious. She did a very thorough cleaning and replaced the burners. She was great at communicating possible issues and offered options. I had bought the wrong igniter, so I'll see if we can source the right part and get that fixed as well. Highly recommended. Excellent people to work with. read more
