I searched online for someone to come out and take a look at our built-in gas fire pit after discovering that underneath the grate and the lava rock, the burner had totally deteriorated and collapsed. I'm so glad to have found George. We've had a grill that needed to be hooked up but didn't know whether it was a liquid propane or a natural gas one. Our grill wasn't a common household brand and other stores/service companies would not help install BC we didn't purchase from them. George installed our new Bull BBQ. This entailed removal of our old Turbo grill, retrofitting our cinderblock outdoor island to fit the new grill, and creating two air vents to meet the new BBQ code. His price was very reasonable, especially in light of the amount of time it took him to do this. He had me text him pictures of the job so he would have a better idea of what the job would entail, and he did not change his estimate once he got to my house. He was really very nice and is an experienced griller himself. He showed us how to operate the new grill and gave us some great tips and taking care of our new grill. My star rating is really more like a 4.7, only because of some minor issues regarding the metal on the vents looking slightly bent and that I would have liked to discuss the option of putting an electrical outlet inside the island. He was able to come up that same day to take a look. I wish I could give them more than 5 starts as well! George at All About Fire is awesome! I had a new BBQ and side burner setup for a new outdoor kitchen. The general contractors and plumber I hired were unable to figure out how to properly set up everything. To make matters worse, I was planning on having it up and running for Labor Day weekend, but the other contractors waited until the end of the day Saturday to let me know they couldn't figure it out. George to the rescue!!! I contacted him late on Saturday and he immediately replied. We set up an appointment for Sunday at 10am (most people don't want to work on Sundays, and I don't blame them, but George was an enthusiastic "yes"). George was right on-time and quickly diagnosed what was needed. He has an extensive supply of necessary parts and a wide array of tools so he didn't need to leave to Home Depot for parts etc. He walked me thru everything he needed to do (not a simple install/setup for various reasons), and then got to work. My husband noticed soot on the logs, sides and back of our gas fireplace so used Google to locate a company to perform maintenance for us. What a great find! I came across George after being informed by the gas co that our low burning bbq was fitted for propane, not the natural gas it was actually connected to. I called George who came out the same day. Super convenient since I was already off for the gas co visit. After going above and beyond fixing my bbq (he fixed the side burner too), I happened to ask him about the gas log in my fireplace. Turns out it was not fitted properly and the hose was corroded. All About Fire is AWESOME!! As soon as I submitted my inquiry Char was following up with me to set up an appointment. We had our barbeque and firepit (both installed in 2005 and in desperate need of repair), completely overhauled. Char worked all day on the bbq and at the end of the day opened the lid to show the beautiful like-new grill. My husband was so happy!!! George worked on the firepit. The firepit had the old lava rocks and we wanted to replace them with fireglass. The fire ring was completely dissolved in a couple of places and the pipe was encased in concrete by the original contractor. In spite of all that, George was able to access the line, replace the ring, swap out the garbage lava rock for our new fireglass, and now our firepit looks like we always wished it had (never looked this good with the lava rocks and heat was minimal before). Now we have gorgeous flames rising above the beautiful rocks, and the heat level is perfect! It was a hot sunny day in the backyard, and they both worked tirelessly until the job was done. And, something I never expected, the job was photo documented all along the way, and I immediately received the report with photos that evening when the job was done (literally while they were still there). Very affordable and well worth every penny. Thank you Char and George for you hard work! We had our party yesterday and everyone commented on how beautiful the grill and firepit looked, and everything turned out great on the grill. George just completed installing three gas log sets for us and did an outstanding job. We called him based on a reference and he called back (on a weekend) within the hour. We bought the log sets at Home Depot so he asked for the make/model number and researched them prior to arriving at our home so that he was sure to have the right parts and fittings. He showed up right on time and did a meticulous job of installing the sets and instructing us on proper use. I also asked him to look at my outdoor BBQ which was not heating properly on one side and he fixed that within 5 minutes at no charge! Our outdoor gas fire pit was in need of maintenance due to rust/corrosion. As a capable DIY'er, I purchased a new gas distribution ring but ran into trouble when trying to remove the very corroded old ring and nut on the vertical gas stem. We were referred to George Brown at All About Fire and in between jobs, he came to the rescue on short notice. He raised the clearance with a new stem and went out and purchased a bigger, better stainless steel distribution ring. Finally, he made recommendations on new lava rock choice and placement which turned out to improve fire and heat distribution. I had George out to my hose several months ago so this review is long overdue ! I bought gas logs for my two fireplaces . George was recommended to me by a patio and BBQ store in Temecula . I called him and he quoted me a price that was about half what my plumber was going to charge . He set up an appointment for the next day . He showed up on time , covered all areas that might get dirty and got busy ! This job turned out to be more difficult than imagined because of a problem with the gas pipe in my wall . He had to go get parts and modify some of the existing pipe . He charged me a small extra charge for the extra trip and all the extra work .
