I have the pleasure of having had a long standing relationship with the fine people at BBQ Solutions. I've always dealt with Brian in the past but this time the Universe's wheel of fortune provided Derrick. Brian told Derrick is great. Super cool dude. Very passionate about his job. Aussie accent. He told me his story. We hit it off. He cleaned my messy grill. I always ask a lot of questions. I'm nosy/friendly that way and enjoy getting to know people. Derrick is good people. He gave me a succinct tutorial on the dangers and risks of Australian animals and reptiles, which I appreciated, since it's completely saving me expensive airfare and unnecessary jet lag. Thanks, buddy. I always hate to get a perfectly clean grill dirty again because it looks so amazing and I want to keep it that way forever BUT I did burgers the next day and of course they were spectacular. (And afterward I scrubbed that thing clean and got it almost back to Derrick-standards, but not quite.) Normally I go all out with guacamole and fancy pickles and exotic toppings. This time I wanted to taste the meat fresh from Derrick's fantastically clean handiwork so I kept it simple. Bun. Cheese. Meat. Charred to medium rare perfection... And as I ate I thought about something Derrick said while he worked. He told me he enjoys doing work that brings joy and happiness to people. It's not just cleaning grills. m new to the area and bought a house with a very expensive BBQ that was never taken care of and seemed beyond repair. I used yelp to find a local company that had great reviews to take a look and advise us. Brian from BBQ Solutions answered immediately. I sent photos at which time he replied with very reasonable rates. Brian sent Derrick to my house the next day who spent the entire time taking the BBQ apart, doing an in depth cleaning (inside and out) and reviewing parts that needed replacing. He even cleaned the storage area below that was just a terrible mess. He ordered the parts for us and will return to install them in a few weeks! This was a top class performance and service from start to finish. Once my appointment was booked, Brian called me to let me know he was arriving soon and showed up perfectly on time. My 5 burner natural gas bbq had some VERY heavy use throughout the summer and was badly in need of a cleaning. I had to run errands but when I came home and saw the work I was delighted, everything looked almost as good (and in places as good) as new and this big, heavy use unit is 3 years old. I'm a fair reviewer and I can honestly say this was more than value for money with a superb outcome. Fully and highly recommended. I will be calling them again next time I need service. read more

Restored well-worn and used built-in barbecue when we moved into our recently bought home. Communication was prompt and excellent. Service person arrived on time and was really great. The barbecue sparkled after he was done. He also gave us tips on how to extend the life of the grill for as long as we could. This was an approximately 15 to 20 year old grill that we did not want to replace first thing upon moving into our home. Below is a repost of my original review submitted in Oct 2023: We contacted Kevin via text on August 7th fulfilling his request for information about our BBQ which needed repairs. He replied stating he would check parts availability. We sent two unanswered texts asking about his findings, and finally got a reply on August 18th stating he had been busy. He did confirm parts availability and offered pricing for our job, at which time we asked him to keep us advised of any openings on his schedule to get the job done. More unanswered texts were sent throughout September asking for updates. By the end of September (6 weeks after our first contact} we assumed Kevin was no longer interested in the job as he had ceased addressing our requests for help. At the time of this review, it has been two full months since our initial contact and Kevin is still ignoring our requests for any type of input at all. At this point, we'll seek help elsewhere as he has wasted enough of our time. I've never found it this difficult to give money to someone. What's worse is that we were a returning customer. Communication: F Follow through: F Integrity: F Update: 3 months later, still no follow through or attempts to apologize for his behavior. ANOTHER CHAPTER IN THE STORY... The attached picture shows a screen shot of a Dec 15th, 2023 comment by the owner Kevin H. regarding my original Oct 2023 review where he is trying to portray to the Yelp community that he actually did do the work and I am somehow now happy with him. It should be clarified that NO EMPLOYEE of BBQ Solutions HAS EVER BEEN TO MY PROPERTY during the time period referenced in my 2023 review. In fact, the only 2023 Yelp messaging in which he and I participated concluded in Nov 2023 (3 months after initial contact) with my informing him the results from online research of his name/company dictated it be imperative that I maintain as great a distance as humanly possible between him and every member of my family. It was made crystal clear to him that business owners exhibiting his tendencies will NEVER be allowed back to any property I own despite what he is trying to portray with his comment. Writing 100% false comments about performing work just adds one more unbelievable facet to his lack of integrity as a businessman and underscores an ease and willingness to lie in an attempt to paint himself as being someone he is not. In conclusion, it is also amazing that he felt I would not respond to such a blatant lie. read more

BBQ Solutions brought my pitiful, aging Blue Ember BBQ back to life. Should make it thru a few more seasons of cookouts! They did a thorough cleaning and repaired the igniter and the burners, both of which were struggling. After cleaning all of the greasy equipment, the area was left spotless. There was a mixup on the date that the service was to be performed, but they were able to get out the next day and took great care. I will use them next year for another deep cleaning. read more

Our grill hadn't been cleaned for three years and it was nasty. It was embarrassing when we'd have guests over. One side was not lighting with the knob--I had to use a match. I'm a retired firefighter and I know that's not safe. Bottom line.....Brian spent three hours on our grill and a bit of time on our side burner and.....a drum roll please.....it all looks brand new and both sides now light easily. He offered great tips along the way to keep them lasting longer. I knew I needed this service when my daughter made the comment "This salmon tastes like smoked BBQ sauce."
