We recently converted one of our 50+ year-old gas fireplaces to electric, and needed someone to climb up the roof and "cap" the existing flue. Sweep's Luck was highly recommended by fireplace dealer (AMS) and they did not disappoint. Not only did their representative, Daniel, quickly cut and install a custom-fitted cap -- charging us less than his estimate -- he inspected our other fireplace, at no charge. Daniel was very friendly and knowledgeable, and I'd definitely hire him for any future fireplace or chimney in a heartbeat. read more

On time, explained process and some minor issues to watch. Will definitely be using again!

Excellent and punctual service, super friendly and all around great experience with Daniel! Highly recommend Sweep's Luck! Our fireplace needed a new gas line and logs- looks so great! read more

Exceptional service. Did not overcharge despite having to come over twice as we were waiting for the faulty part to arrive. The issue was resolved with great attention to detail. Good communication and was genuinely interested in explaining the issue to us. Went above and beyond and cleaned the inside of the fireplace for no extra cost. Will highly recommend Daniel. read more

Dan provides outstanding customer service! Very knowledgeable and conscientious! Easy hire decision!

Daniel was amazing to deal with from the start. We're in the process of selling our home and needed something fixed on the fireplace. I sent him pictures. He said it appeared like an easy fix when he got here unfortunately it was worse than we thought and the fireplace needed to be replaced. He presented several options. I know it would've cost at least $5000 more with any other vendor. His communication was accurate, he showed up on time, removed the old fireplace in such a gentle and clean manner, took the mantle down piece by piece only cut the drywall that was necessary. I anticipated someone showing up with a sledgehammer and dust for days, not the case. We have a beautiful new fireplace, I would recommend this guy over and over again. Thank you for being knowledgeable, straight forward and wonderful person to deal with! read more

Daniel was great to work with! We needed someone to fix our fireplace and he was able to identify the problem and fix it without needing to come back a second time. He could have easily told us we needed to replace expensive parts but he was honest about what the (minor) issue was. It's rare to find trustworthy people like this these days. I highly recommend Sweeps Luck! read more

Highly recommend Daniel! We spoke to a few contractors who all wanted a fee to come out and look at our repair. When we spoke to Daniel, we discussed replacing our part and his estimate was competitive. When we followed up with photos, Daniel let us know that he could repair our part instead of replacing it, which saved us over $1000! We've done a lot of projects and it's so rare to find someone who is so honest. We were really pleased with the repair and price, and Daniel was easy to work with; communication and workmanship was great and he went above and beyond to repair our chimney. read more

Daniel was able to quickly access the problem we were having with our gas fireplace. He is very knowledgeable professional and has great communication skills. The fireplace is now working perfectly. I should mention we had a different company look at it and they weren't able to fix it. I highly recommend Daniel and Sweeps Luck. read more

10/10! We had our chimney swept and inspected, and the service was amazing, and the pricing was great! The attention to detail and care of the area was exceptional! Can't recommend highly enough!!!! read more

It is, sadly, unusual these days to deal with tradespersons who are extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, and fair; Daniel was all of these things. He fixed our wonky fireplace issues with less cost than we expected and with better results than I had hoped for. Five star experience, all around. read more

I needed an inspection of the fireplace in our rental since it had not been used in a while. Daniel completed the inspection and did not find any structural issues. He recommended a thorough cleaning, replacement of the screen, firebox paint, etc. I also wanted to change out the grate for fire glass. Daniel' s quote to complete the job was reasonable, so I scheduled to have him do the job. read more

Excellent service. Had dryer ceiling ducting cleaned & later had a gas fireplace burner with logs, etc installed in my fireplace so that I could get some actual heat from it. Absolutely Love it! Daniel left the area cleaner than he found it. That is a first in home repair for me! read more

I checked a few places out all with great reviews. I decided to go with Sweep's because of Daniels reviews that seemed genuine. I am glad I did. He's a good family man that runs a good business and is easy to talk to. He was very thorough in his work and very knowledgably in his trade. He did a full sweep, inspection with a couple of recommendations, not pushy at all. He went on the roof to address a concern of mine and showed me pictures making me feel more at ease with the issue. He was on time, communication was good and prompt. I highly recommend Daniel. read more

Always a positive experience with this company! Professional work and honest. Thank you

He's one of the best. I worked with Sweep's Luck for about 3 months looking for a wood insert that 1: fit my space, 2: qualified for the government rebate. When the time came, the install was flawless, he was clean and efficient. Really nice person, family man with good integrity. He could have charged me for another flue cover but instead he repaired it and said we will take care of it once it is beyond repair. Small things like that build trust. I dont mind someone making a living and money. I dont like being lied too or gouged and that isnt the case with Sweep's luck. read more

Daniel came out to my house to do a chimney sweet and clean the dryer vent out. Upon inspecting the chimney, he informed me that it didn't need to be cleaned and we could skip it and not pay for it...wow! He give us an on-the-spot quote to clean up our gas fireplace log inserts and it made a huge difference with the asthetic of the fireplace. He cleaned out our dryer vent as well and that made a big difference on drying time (faster!). Big thing was the Daniel identified a very small gas leak in our fireplace that we had not noticed. He had a plumber that he recommended that was able to come out and replace the valve for us quickly. Will definitely have Daniel back in a couple of years to clean everything out for us again! read more

A thorough job. Daniel was a really great technician, very friendly, courteous and very clean. In and out in less than an hour. Very thorough and he even explained everything he was doing and things to pay attention to for the future. We will be calling him again for service. Dicks read more

Amazing individual running this business. Nice, prompt, professional, skilled. Just excellent work! He came all the way to south city from North County to fix a leaking chimney. Most businesses weren't interested in a small job like mine. I saw him with a ladder on top of my roof, patching little cracks in the chimney. Such a thorough job that stopped my little "drip, drip, drip" that was driving me crazy when it rained a little. Thanks, thanks, thanks read more

I found Daniel through yelp and found him to be the most knowledgeable of all the others that I talked with about my 65 years old smokey fireplace. It was impossible to have a fire without filling the room with smoke. I tried for 30 years and finally decided to let an expert look at it. After seeing pictures of our unlined fireplace he recommended a fireplace ininsert with a stainless steel liner. He also recommended Regency inserts. From the beginning of this over thought process I knew that I wanted to use Daniel. We went with the Regency Hi500 and Daniel just finished the installation. I'm retired from construction and it's rare to find some much competence in all respects to a purchase. The reason for my satisfaction turns out to be that Daniel is a one man show with over 20 years experience. I'm planning on having him back every year to clean the chimney and check everything out. read more

Daniel is always super responsive. He has maintained our fire placed and installed 3 new systems for us?

I'm a General Contractor in Rancho Santa Fe and have been working with Daniel for over 10years. He services my own home, which is a challenge being it's a chimney built in 1956. He also takes care of any issue I have on my flip projects. You're in very good hands with Sweep's Luck. read more

Super friendly and excellent service. Thought I would need a cleaning by photos but when he arrived he was honest and said it wasn't needed. We used him to replace a grimy fireplace with a fancy new gas glass set up. We used the Yelp quote process and he was the most responsive and well priced. read more

Daniel was efficient, clean, personable, and a great value for the quality of his work. He wore booties and a mask and lined the area with a tarp while working. We had two fireplaces in the house we just moved into that we wanted to make sure were ready for burning wood, and he not only cleaned what he could, but also filled in cracks, replaced both gas log lighters, and taught us how to properly use them. I now see why he is so popular and booked for weeks on end. Thanks, Daniel, for being one of the best home service people we've used recently and would be happy to recommend! read more

I have been using Daniel for over 15 years. He's excellent at what he does! He makes suggestions to me and of course I listen to the expert. The suggestions he has made have increased the lifetime of my chimney and fireplace for many years to come. Thank you Daniel for all you do! read more

Daniel contacted us on his way to our appointment & showed up prepared to inspect & sweep our chimney. Very thorough in his explanation to 2 people that aren't familiar with chimney lingo. He did a couple of repairs & cleaned up better than he found it. As in vacuuming the ashes in the fireplace. We have found our go to for any further needs. We highly recommend him/business. read more

Extremely thorough and prompt job inspecting and cleaning my fireplace! It looks brand new! Great value!

Daniel is professional, thorough and prices are fair. He cleaned my dryer vent, the gas logs, and climbed on the roof to check the seal around the chimney. He is communicative, friendly, and takes his time. He installed my gas fireplace logs, sealed cracks in the brick, and more about five years ago. He is outstanding at what he doe! read more

Excellent communication and service. Will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

It took a while to get an appointment with Daniel, but it was worth it. My fireplace was just fine, but it had an old starter assembly that wasn't even necessary. Daniel assessed the situation over the phone, and he arrived with a full workshop in his van. He tuned up my fireplace ... checked out everything, and removed the starter assembly. He was able to explain all aspects of what he did, and was a great pleasure to talk with. I learned a lot. His pricing is honest and much less than firms I didn't exactly trust. So, this was a total win all the way around. And that's why Daniel is so busy ... if he's not the best, I don't know who would be. read more

Daniel and I had our annual visit. And of course he took care of us as he always does for our fireplace maintenance. Such a simple thing to do for probably most peoples largest investment. And no matter what I still learn something from the man. Whether it is replacing gas lighter pipe, chimney caps, new logs he can handle it. Hell he even got me a place to get clean firewood from, that I have been going to now for 8 years. So Thanks as always to Daniel at Sweeps Luck truly the best in the biz. read more
