We absolutely love our mantle and Wayne and his team were all a pleasure to work with.

Our experience with Wayne and Studio Design Works has been nothing short of amazing. I called Wayne initially to take a look at the showroom and see what was available. We needed an electric fireplace and mantel installed from scratch in our living room since we did not have one. Wayne was very responsive and knowledgeable since the beginning. It was around holiday time so we decided to wait until the new year to begin the project. I got in touched with Wayne after the new year and we couldn't be happier with the end product. His pricing, expertise, and professionalism was unbeatable. From the time of us signing up for the project, it took about 6 weeks to get the project started and the once it started, about a few days for the fireplace installation from scratch, and then a few more days for them to install the mantel. Wayne is very easy to work with and is very kind and professional. He even recommended someone to fix and patch up our drywall afterwards and the results are phenomenal. We highly recommend Wayne and Studio Design Works. We will definitely contact him in the future for other projects. Thank you Wayne. read more

We spent a long time searching around online for the perfect fireplace surround, but never really felt confident ordering and shipping a big surround without seeing the colors and finishes in person. Thankfully, we found a local company, Studio Design Works, to come to our house and go over options with us in person. We were able to get exactly what we wanted and even save a little bit of money compared to ordering online. Beyond thrilled with my experience with Studio Design Works! Wayne was so helpful giving insight and help all along the way with our fireplace remodel. He spoke with our contractor and walked him through what to do to have it all ready for the stone. Even when our contractor messed up Wayne adapted and fixed the issue caused by the contractor and made sure we were taken care of (something our general should have done!) I would 10/10 recommend and endorse Wayne! I finished the fireplace wall with a reeded wood wall panel and I love the finished product. Everyone who walks in comments on it!! read more

Wayne and his team at Studio Design Works did an outstanding job on our new fireplace mantle. We loved the Windsor mantle that they had and booked a consultation to see if it would be a good fit for our home. He was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable on what needed to be done. We didn't have any doubt on his work from the way he reassured us on how this process would be done and what we wanted. When we saw the mantle installed, the quality was excellent, the craftsmanship and the installation was more than we could imagine. It really bound the room together and made our living room feel more complete. Totally worth it. read more

Quick and efficient service. The price was right too. Initially install was going to be 2-3 weeks out and we had ours done in 5 days.

Perfect excecution, friendly service. Made the house look like a castle. Very happy with my experience.

We searched far and wide locally and on the internet for a replacement fireplace surround. California Mantels in Anaheim had a great showroom but it was darn near impossible to get a written quote. They also wanted to charge for all the accessories such as a hearth and the filler panels. We then found a vendor online and saw that they were based out of LA - LA Cast Stone something or other. We drove an hour and a half there and saw their very limited showroom. The designs were also very dated and unimpressive. Most of their business was focused on fulfilling internet orders and they failed to provide us with a written quote even though I bugged the owner with text messages for a whole week afterwards. We finally found Studio Design Works - they were very responsive and yelp and met the owner, Wayne, on a Saturday morning. He walked us through the options and the pricing was very straightforward and reasonable. We picked out our favorite design and finish, ad scheduled a measurement that very day, shortly after the measurement he sent us a proposal which included CAD drawings. We put down 50% for the deposit and waited several weeks for the install. His installer Arturo was very meticulous and thorough. We had to leave during the install but came back pleasantly surprised. The new fireplace looks like a million bucks. It really is the centerpiece of the room and was well-worth the investment. Highly recommend shopping here before anywhere else. read more

I'm in the Palm Springs area and knew I would have to go to Orange County or LA to find someone to fabricate two fireplace mantles. I went to three manufactures. Right away I knew Wayne and Studio Design Works was the company I wanted to work with. He was attentive, and very prompt with getting me designs and a quote. His prices were reasonable and he was able to adjust a few details to fit the size of my existing fireplaces and walls. Wayne was exceedingly prompt and detailed with his CAD designs. I needed a fireplace for the living room and also the master bedroom. Wayne made a trip out to confirm all the measurements and look at the house where he made further recommendations based on the size of the rooms. His crew was prompt in manufacturing the two mantles. They did an excellent job at demolition and installation. They took extra care for my Furniture and Hardwood Flooring. The fireplaces are absolutely gorgeous! They were the perfect dimensions for the room and was just what I had wanted. I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend Wayne and studio design works. They are conscientious, meticulous, and highly professional! read more

Our house came with a pre-installed linear gas fireplace with no surround. For two years, I tried to convince myself that it was modern and that I would get used to it, but I never did. All the while, I had Studio Design Works' Malibu fireplace photo pinned to my inspiration board. I finally took the plunge a few weeks ago and called for a consultation.... BEST DECISION EVER! Wayne, the owner, responded quickly and came to discuss color and sizing options. Within days, he sent a CAD rendering along with the proposal for a custom mantel, surround, and hearth. Three weeks after accepting the estimate, Arturo and another installer arrived. They were incredibly careful and detail oriented, protecting our floors with paper and drop cloths. The amount of time Arturo spent getting every surface straight and level was heroic. The outcome was absolute perfection. My only regret...not calling Wayne two years earlier!! read more

I want to express my gratitude to Wayne and Studio Design Works for the incredible fireplace mantels installed in my home. They are absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship amazing. Much appreciation for your installers. Arturo is a true artisan who genuinely cares about the works he does. He is a perfectionist. He and Chris made the perfect installation team. And thanks to Studio Design Works for the guidance through the process of determining the design of the mantels to meet the needs of my four distinct fireplaces. This project has been on my mind since moving into my home 2-1/2 years ago. I've spent hours researching companies, mantels, and talking to several shops that just weren't right. Studio Design Works reviews spoke volumes and that is why I called. They live up to their reputation for a quality product, expert installation, and fair, straight forward pricing. read more

Wayne and his team built my custom fireplace and I couldn't be happier! We were extensively remodeling an old house and had some design dilemmas when figuring out how to get the exact dimensions to work with the existing room, install built ins on either side of the fireplace, etc - Wayne was able to figure everything out according to my needs so that the fireplace looks beautiful and seamless with the rest of the room. He was so patient in answering all my questions about color, finish, etc. The installation crew was also super professional. I highly recommend studio design works! read more

Overall the experience was great. Wayne more so than others was able to answer a ton of questions as I was trying to learn and understand what was possible. Communication matters and Wayne was great. I'd suggest going to their Santa Ana location and seeing the pieces in person as there is only so much you can do on a website a w photos. We made modifications - Wayne made suggestions - it's a process and thankfully Wayne made the process great. He was spot on with his projections for a timeline. Only suggestion: Build into the price sealing the pieces. I was able to easily do the work but after spending good money I'd expect it to be taken care of. If I had another fireplace - we'd work with Wayne again!!!! read more

I 100% recommend this company to everyone. When we decided to do a remodel on our home, we were not sure how to deal with our fireplace. We were deciding between tiling around the fireplace or going with the cast concrete. I am sooo glad we reached out to Wayne and decided to go with his cast concrete fireplace mantle. He was easy to communicate with, he designed our mantle perfectly, and it turned out sooo much better than I thought. If your unsure what to do about your fireplace, reach out to Wayne. Wayne and his install team have been incredible to work with. This is not your ordinary one piece fireplace mantel but a custom concrete cast design. True craftsman turned my 1963 brick fireplace into a beautiful fireplace that will be the focal point of my living room for decades to come once all of my renovations are completed. They have demo'd the old brick and built the new fireplace in a couple of days. It was a lot of work, this team exercised professionalism throughout the project, were conscious of social distance and masking requirements and maintained a clean workspace. The end result is amazing and pictures do not capture the beauty of this FB. The entire team worked above and beyond to complete this project and we could not be happier.
