I just had a lemon chicken wrap which was the second best I've ever had, & I had to go to the Bahamas to get the first. This place is clean, fresh, and tasty. Definitely check it out if you have not already! read more

We've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. Good service, excellent food, and very reasonably priced.

Pretty nice! Little far in the location but I couldnt resist the delicious lemon chicken! The set up is pretty nice ! They also have jasmine tea! Biryani was surprisingly better than most other desi dine in places. I hope they open more locations in the future! read more

They make a great chicken briyani! We took a bunch of food back home and their shami kebabs are just as good as mine without the effort, lol! The young lady that answered the phone when I placed the order was patient and pleasant. We'll definetely be back! read more

Pretty good Mediterranean food on-the-go. The restaurant has absolutely zero atmosphere. It's not a fine dining experience, more of a take-out type place. But the tastiness of the food can't be denied, especially for the price. If you're craving a gyro, rice, yogurt sauce, chicken kebab in a pinch, this is your place. Did I mention the affordable and delicious baklava!? read more

Really tasty food. I have tried chana masala and chicken biryani so far and both were yummy. The chicken Biryani was almost authentic. Definitely going here often. read more

Found this place on Yelp while visiting Quinnipiac with my son. So flavorful and a reasonal price. Restaurant large, clean ad low key. Worth going 15 min out of our way. Highly recommend. read more

We got 4 things. Lemon chicken with rice. - Very tasty. 8 out of 10 Chicken Biryani - also pretty good. 7 out of 10 Paneer Kati - enough flavor for the cheap price. 7 out of 10 Falafel - wife hated it. I tried it. I hated it too. It fell apart. Didn't like the flavor of either the dressing, the falafel or both. Threw it out. 1 out of 10. Never did try the gyro everyone raves about. I didn't see a rotating gyro spit. When i asked about the "strips" on the menu, the lady at the counter said they were frozen? I passed on that. Inside is plain, almost too plain for it to be anything more than a quick counter service place. Certainly not a date night or couples evening out place. It was super clean inside. Great value for what you get. Would i go back? Sure , if i was in the area. read more

We just ordered out gyro wraps and a gyro platter and everything was absolutely amazing! I am so glad I tried this place based on reviews because I am so impressed on the flavors of the platter and gyros we will definitely be back frequently! I usually don't write reviews I just had to review it to say how amazing this place is! read more

Tried the gyro wrap, lemon chicken wrap, veggie Kati and Paneer kati. All fantastic. Of the better gyros in a 10 minute drive radius...(cough...Freskos...cough) better quality better portion better price. Lemon chicken is unique and a definite winner. Kati rolls were a surprising delight. Will try more of them in the future. First time visit was a good first impression. Looking forward to trying more on the menu. read more

Delicious!! My boyfriend went here while on his lunch break, He told me it was the best and he loved it. I was very surprised because he's soo picky with food. We finally went together and I've been hooked ever since. The sauces they give you to put on your food are just so tasty! I can definitely say if your scared to try new things try this place and you won't regret it! I want some today lol I just wish it wasn't a 45 minute drive for me. read more

The lemon pepper chicken is amazing! I haven't tried anything else yet, but I definitely plan to soon. Great place to get work done as they have free wifi. read more

Food is different than any other Middle Eastern restaurant I've ever been to, but very good nonetheless, and their prices are very reasonable. read more

First timer this place didn't let me down! Definitely coming back here! You should too

Gyro platter was not only delicious but very well priced. Very clean and easy parking out front. A new fav for me!

I am updating my previous review. We've had several more meals here and they seem to have improved. The gyro platter, lemon chicken platter and kebab platter were excellent. The only shortcoming was that my husband asked for chick peas on his platter and they were omitted. read more

Just as described! Amazing food with fast and friendly service! Was passing through and didn't want fast food, ordered and was able to eat and get out in less than 20 minutes! read more

What a find! The gyro wrap and lemon chicken are both excellent! The falafel salad- delicious! We will go back again and again!

Food was very delicious! I recommend the Lemon Chicken Salad (most delicious thing we had). We also tried the gyro platter, fish platter, chicken kabob platter, and chicken kati rolls. However, my cousin went to get refills and the owner told him he doesn't do refills but he'll do it this time. I think the price for the small cup was $1.69. Kinda disappointed that they weren't free. read more

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Ordered delivery while stuck at home recovering from surgery. An amazing combination of Indian and middle eastern flavors and textures. Selected a variety of Kati rolls to meet the delivery minimum and fell in love with each (cauliflower, lamb, & paneer). The gyro platter was perfect as well. Perfectly grilled meat, Indian seasoned rice, and just the amount of sauce to compliment the crisp lettuce mix. Happy to report I introduced a friend to his first experience with Greek and Indian food in one shot and he loved it. read more

Very clean up to date establishment. Big portions at a great price. Falafels were not that great but the Chicken biryani always hits the spot. read more

I've been wanting to try something different and I saw how close this place was to my school, so I decided to give it a try. From the really good reviews, it seemed like the lemon chicken was a popular dish. Walking in, the restaurant seemed super clean and nice. I ordered the lemon chicken rice platter which comes with lemon chicken, rice, olives, tomatoes, lettuce, feta cheese, and this AMAZING garlic sauce (I'm not sure what it's called) on the side. The total came to $8.50, which is a great price for the amount of food that they give. The platter was one of the best things I've tasted in a while. The lemon chicken had great flavor and even the rice tasted super flavorful. I'm not too familiar with this type of cuisine, but I'm so glad I tried it. Only thing I would say is that their wasn't as much lettuce tomato and feta as I would like, so I'll just have to ask for extra next time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Will definitely be coming back. read more

Great prices, great food, great service. Very clean and stylish interior. Definitely worth going back.

If you you want to step outside the box for lunch or even dinner this is the place for you. The lemon chicken is absolutely AMAZING. Maybe your not too hungry, grab a chicken Kati roll. Either way, you won't be disappointed by the exotic Ali Baba has to offer. read more

Their food is so so good! Love the lemon chicken, but my favorite is definitely the shami kebab platter! It's a little on the spicy side but luckily it doesn't bother me as much. I've tried the veggie and cauliflower Kati roll, they are delicious. I highly recommend their food!! read more

I will have to say that I am giving this place 2 stars for a couple of reasons. My coworker and I order from here and drive 15 minutes one way to get our food. The last couple of times, the order has not been correct or they have forgot to give us everything we have ordered. Case in point, yesterday we ordered 3 meals and one was not in the bag. When I called to voice my dissatisfaction, the person who answered the phone asked if I had my receipt ( making me feel like she thought I was lying to her) and then asked if I was going to come pick up the meal. I was actually kind of shocked that she would ask a paying customer if they were going to come back to get a meal that they had paid for but did not receive. I don't think that we will be ordering from here again, which is sad because when they get the order correct it's really pretty good. read more

The sizes are huge and the food is delicious. Reasonable pricing and clean establishment. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking Mediterranean food read more

This was my first going to an Ali Baba in CT. I usually go to an Ali Baba In Ny. The food there is very tasty, and the service is top notch. I came in expecting the same however I soon learned that it wasn't quite what I hoped for. The Ali Baba in NY is much different than the one in CT, the one in NY has waiters and has more of a luxurious atmosphere, the one in CT doesn't have that but that isn't something I can really complain about. Now to what is most important the service, the cashier was polite, however the food wasn't so good. For starters the chicken under cooked practically raw, the rice ok but very little. As far as the salad is concerned i didn't really make an attempt to try it. The knuckleheads in the back cooking need to step up their game and start putting in some effort to make sure the food is up to standards. I personally own three restaurants which are very successful. If my cooks don't live up to the standards I have set, then why bother even being a chef. I hope the people running the restaurant as well as the staff improve and overcome their problems. read more

Lemon chicken platter at food cart was amazing and really affordable at $6

Amazing!!!! What a great find!!! So much fresh food for low price!!! I'll be a regular customer!!!!

Food is usually really good, fresh, and flavorful but they recently had a deal where they offered 25% off for dine in customers. This deal is actually still in effect and is going on until 1/31/18. When we arrived last night to take advantage of this deal, the cashier seemed to know little about it even though it is posted all over their Facebook page at this very moment. I told the cashier we were dining in and wanted to take advantage of the deal and she replied, "Oh, I don't know, I think that's only on the weekends". I told her that it does not specify that on the Facebook post and pulled my phone out to show her and she just gave me a blank stare and didn't respond to that statement. I then told her I would take my order to go, because at that point, it didn't make a difference. Anyway, I sent the post of deal to Ali Baba's own page and told them what happened. They did not message me back, they saw my message, liked it, and kept it moving. So just to let everyone know, apparently this deal is only offered on the weekends, even though the post does not specify that it is only on the weekends. There might not even be any deal at all, because the clueless cashier didn't even seem to know about it nor did she ask any of her coworkers to see what I meant. At this point, their excellent food is overshadowed by their shoddy, apathetic customer service and lack of response to a customer complaint. I found it disrespectful that they "liked" my concern and kept it moving. That's why their other location couldn't stay open. Also, my partner had food poisoning and felt ill after eating a mixed platter. We will not be returning. read more

I won't ever return due to the customer service. The girl working at the counter was rude. I never even write reviews but feel the owner should know as someone who worked in the restaurant industry for many years. She "accidentally" charged me for something, not the point of how much. She sat there and argued with the smaller girl at the counter who told told her no you charged her twice and she tried to tell me and her coworker she didn't when it's clearly on the bill. Then proceeded to drop the f word over it..... give me an attitude and said just take it out of my tips. Didn't seem like a mistake at all and I tipped her to begin with, clearly doesn't deserve a tip and if she had a better attitude to begin with I would have tipped her more. She continued to speak in Spanish about it which I understood. Food was pretty good, plate had no sauce which shows it coming with it in every picture and on the menu but due to that I wouldn't even come back. read more

We aware in our way to Boston and decide to stop by at this place and we were very impressed; the place was very clean, serves delicious and fresh food ! Overall....highly recommended for a quick bite ! read more

Delicious! The lemon chicken is fabulous. Everything is prepared fresh and the service is good

Pescatarian here and was very much looking forward to the fish platter. Drove all the way to the restaurant to pick up my food. Got home and was given chicken instead of fish. Called the restaurant and few to any options were afforded to me. Definitely not happy with service and the fact that I had to pay for a dish that I am unable to eat! read more

The lamb Kati roll is divine. I bought 2 intending to take one for lunch so good I ate both. I got the chicken biryani so delicious. I cannot wait to go back and try more awesome food. I cannot believe the quality and amount for how little I paid. Wish I lived closer, might be a good thing I don't I would eat Kati rolls all day if I did. So all the articles in the newspaper and New Haven living magazine are true and correct, so try Ali Babas and become addicted to the great food. Just went back and got their famous lemon chicken, so awesome! Good thing I don't live closer! Tried the baklava best i have ever had! read more

We have been to Ali Baba's a few times now and have been satisfied each and every time. The kati rolls are definitely a great option, my favorite is probably the cauliflower, although I will say that they are a little greasy. The cous cous plate was just ok, not great, not bad. The Gyro is quite good. The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick and the staff friendly. I'd recommend a trip to Ali Baba's, but be aware that the location is not necessarily the best. read more
