Great spot, one of our go-to's for a nice dinner date. We went again recently and had an excellent…read moretime. Good service - though I do find it a little weird that you have to put in the whole order at once. The food is the standout. Always get the dips - the spicy feta in particular is stellar, as are the hummus and other dips. The pita is excellent as well - always feels like I need to order another. We got the steak bao buns, and they were great. Juicy and flavorful, I just wanted more. And I got the brisket special, which was also fantastic - very good flavor, and the veggies it came with were great too. Skipped dessert unfortunately since we were stuffed, but had a great time, as usual.

We went last night for my birthday, and I was really excited because I had heard great things…read more There are two things I would like to comment on. First, the hostess was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable from the moment we walked in, as if I didn't belong in the restaurant. Secondly, the menu is missing clear explanations of some of the dishes and their ingredients. For example, the chicken shawarma hummus bowl included pickled onions and also had onions or shallots mixed into the shawarma. These details should be clearly stated on the menu, and this was definitely a downfall on Esh's part. The food itself was fantastic; however, due to how uncomfortable the hostess made me feel, I would not return. My money can go elsewhere.

So delightful! I…read morestopped in for takeout and asked for a recommendation- a chicken, rice, and 2 sides combo. The chicken was so flavorful and tender. Delicious. The spicy rice was equally flavorful and not too spicy. It came with grilled pita that I dipped in the hummus and baba ganoush. Definitely stop here on your way through town instead of stopping at the nearby "fast food" options. It takes the same time, supports a local business, and is most likely more delicious!

It became apparent the man behind the register was the cashier, waiter, cook etc, possibly the owner. He was very nice, friendly and professional. We ordered two waters and hubby got the shwarma platter with two sides and he chose spicy black beans and hummus and I ordered the greek salad. The platter was very delicious with the black spicy beans and spicy hummus being large sides and oh so tasty. The greek salad was disappointing as only iceberg lettuce with the dressing being disappointing. On a weird note, the prices on the menu are NOT what you are charged. If you eat in the dining room, you don't see the cashier until the meal is finished. There is sign at the register advising you that prices went up due to food costs, but no notice on the table or menu. We believe most of their business is takeout, so I recommend you go that route. The platter was very good, but the service was just so so.

The restaurant was extremely clean. The employee who helped us, perhaps the owner was very friendly. We asked about the difference between a pita and a lavash. He explained this nicely. I also asked about what was in the special red and white sauce. I appreciate he took the time to answer my questions. The food was delicious and the customer service was outstanding. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.

From a creative idea it quickly became a dish available in the cities and towns of the Netherlands. Eventually it crossed the borders of Europe, and now available in Bridgeport CT. My wife and I are originally from the Netherlands, or as we say Holland, and familiar with 'kapsalon.' So we didn't wait any longer and made our way to WoW Kebab & Gyros. The restaurant is located at the corner, and we parked on the street. We walked in, and I was hoping to meet somebody with a connection with Holland. It's always good to meet people from the homeland. Hassan greeted me, and we started talking. No connection with Holland, but with other countries in Europe. And because 'kapsalon' had arrived in Berlin, Hassan knew about it and brought it to the US of A. While Isak, prepared our meal (hope I wrote his name right). Hassan and I talked about life, and other stuff cool people talk about. When he however showed me and had me taste the sambal sauce (a spicy chilly originated in Indonesia) and his garlic sauce, my heart skipped a beat. YES! Finally! Oh, man did I long for this. Hassan I'm forever grateful you decided to come to Bridgeport (Yeah, I know Black Rock). Eventually the 'kapsalon' was ready to go. We said our goodbyes. I think I left Hassan with a little anxiety when I told him I'm going to review them in Yelp. Any how we came home and got ready to eat 'kapsalon.' (A moment of silence) Hassan, Isak... thank you, thank you for bringing home a little bit closer. The 'kapsalon' was great! We will meet again, and I will bring friends to experience a taste of Rotterdam in Bridgeport/Black Rock almost Fairfield. We wish you the best, and that WoW Kebap & Gyros will become a staple in our town, and who knows even will cross State borders in the US of A. teşekkür ederim arkadaşım/bedankt vriend
