BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN FORNEY. Popped into this family owned restaurant for a late breakfast. I never stopped here because I never see any cars there. To my delight, the food was good . Our waiter was absolutely the most polite waiter I've had since I've lived in Forney. Our order came out quickly and was correct, hot & fresh! Everybody's food arrived to the table hot. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We arrived with a large group without previously, announcing our requirements of a separate room. The staff quickly accommodated us, set up tables and took orders promptly. The food arrived shortly there after, and looked absolutely scrumptious. We like Alfredo's for their good ol' homestyle meals that you don't have to make yourself. I personally love their homemade sides, like their carrots and fried cabbage. If I can pair those with any entree, I'm all set. I prefer their vegetable soup vs their salad but that's just because I like a really good soup. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. Had an issue with our meal & got fixed, was wrong again- by this time we need to talk to the manager. Manager never came & told another waiter to fix it with chefs? I'm not one to complain & usually give benefit of doubt but the manager not coming out when requested is not okay. Waiter, Mya, was great & very helpful. No one in the kitchen wore hair nets & random person that hosted a private event went into kitchen without any cleanliness actions at all. Not sure how they passed inspection. Good homestyle food, the12 oz Ribeye was pretty good, just missed the grill marks. The hand dipped breaded chicken fried steak was excellent. My wife said it was actually better than Saltgrass Steakhouse chicken fried steak, last time you got one of those it was salty and sweet. Alfredo's restaurant is a family own place, clean and their customer service has splendid. I had ordered a 10 onz. Steak with broccoli and mac and cheese. My steak was cooked to perfection, it was juicy and so, so tender (my mouth is watering). The broccoli was ideally crisp and buttery. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful. I had a choice of soup or salad, I chose salad and their salad bar was clean, the veggies were fresh and aromatic. Mind you I wanted to help small businesses and this place deserves the attention, so give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Went to this place for a breakfast business meeting, and was initially thinking the restaurant name did not at all match the name of a place for a breakfast meeting. Truthfully, from a marketing perspective, they should have named the place something different, as it does not have the feel of a Texas steakhouse at all. The parking lot is small, but easy to get in and out of onto the access road. The vibe of the place is like going back in time. It has the feel of a small town, no frills, breakfast or lunch joint. It is extremely casual and the staff was kind and semi-attentive. The tables had diner type red plastic baskets lined with wax paper and filled with a variety of individual cream cups (for coffee) and jelly / jam. Again, to me this felt like a flash back to a diner / breakfast joint and not a steakhouse. The coffee was decent and the server did seem to be sure and check on our cups regularly. The menu is more hometown cooking, with biscuits and gravy, hash browns, eggs, etc. I requested a poached egg with sliced tomato and some whole grain toast. I did get a bit of a look when I asked if they had avocado toast. Ha! The serving was likely a whole tomato (pretty good), the egg was cooked well, and the toast was simply plain wheat toast. Someone at my table ordered a biscuit with sausage and some sausage gravy. I have to admit, part of me wondered how it would be as that is one of my favorite type of once a year "I am going to indulge today" breakfast items at a good place. When the gravy arrived in a separate bowl and he poured it over the biscuits and sausage, it looked thick like wall paper paste...not at all appetizing and didn't look like it had sausage or any type of seasoning in it. I would not go back here and try anything additional. It has a great small town charm about it and just needs a little cleaning up and / or more focus on the menu items. Enjoy y'all! read more

After seeing it many times, we finally made it! Met my father and a dear friend for dinner and visiting. The young lady up front was nice enough to put us in the new addition where it was very quiet, and we could get caught up. She was very patient with these three old farts. Kudos to her! I was craving a good chicken fried steak and Alfredo's did NOT let us down. I had their soup, the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. HIT. THE. SPOT! I hope our buddy, who was buying, left a good-quality tip, cause the waitress really did a nice job. This is a great local place. Easy to miss, so we had to zig zag through the neighborhood to come back to it. Home cooking! Pork chop dinner was great. Hubby had hamburger steak, also great. I ordered a ribeye, 2 sides, salad, key lime pie and ice tea for delivery online on the Alfredo's Steak house website. Apparently, Alfredo's partners with door dash. I received a text from Alfredo's stating my order was ready. Then I received another text from another number stating that your order is being delivered and gave me a tracking link. I clicked on it and saw the door dasher was not far. Then, I received another text saying J Mahogany is approaching. Well, my food never showed up. Next text read, your food has been delivered. It had my address. I'm standing outside and it didn't come. So I called Alfredo's telling them what happened. They basically told me once door dash picks it up-it's a door dash problem. I stated that I order from you not door dash. I never received my food. They refused to remake my food for me to pick it up myself. They kept pointing me to door dash. I called door dash to get a refund. Door dash called Alfredo's Steak house HQ. I received a text stating Alfredo's has refunded my money. Don't eat there. They don't care. There customer service sucks. I'm not sure about other locations but the one in Forney has the worse customer service. read more

It's a nice little spot but the food and the service was questionable. We decided to try breakfast here because of all the positive reviews online. I don't know if my family's taste is different to others or if breakfast on a Thursday morning is just haphazardly thrown together but it really wasn't good. The syrup that comes with the pancakes and waffles is not maple. It's mostly just liquid corn-syrup. Our bacon was not so much crispy, as it was preserved. We thought it was funny that the streaks resembled those dehydrated prepacked ones you buy in stores: rock hard and impossible to chew. Ironically, despite being overcooked to the point of being plastic, it was incredibly oily. We used a napkin to dry off a single streak from our daughter's meal and the napkin was completely soaked through afterwards. Our daughter's food arrived completely cold. It was like they'd made hers first and left it standing while they then made the rest of ours. Important note to ALL restaurants, not just Alfredo's: Kids are still little people and deserve the same quality of food as adults. I hate places that just throw garbage in a plate under the premise that kids don't know better or are more receptive to hastily-made food. I ordered Coke (don't judge my morning liquid intake choices) and was brought a glass of Dr Pepper instead. When I asked our waiter about it, he insisted it was Coke. I asked if he'd tasted it and he said he doesn't drink soda so he couldn't. I asked him to get somebody to verify that the correct syrup bag had been connected to the correct hose on the machine and he responded with the point that he doesn't think anybody cares because everything kinda tastes like Coke anyway. He did remove the drink from the bill, which I appreciate but it was his overall handling of the situation and his confrontational attitude about whether or not I was just tasting it weirdly that didn't sit well with us. By the end, of the 4 meals we ordered (2 x Bacon and Sausage breakfasts, 1 x Kid's Breakfast and 1 x Waffle and 1 x Pancake), pretty much only 1 of the meals (the waffle) ended up being fully eaten. My wife ate her eggs and sausage but couldn't eat the bacon. My daughter ate her cold eggs, her bacon (after the thorough de-oiling) and her waffle but didn't like the pancake. I ate one of my eggs, a piece of toast and one of the sausage patties. The bacon, as above, was inedible. My wife did like the farmhouse fries although my daughter and I did not. I think that comes down to personal preference though so I can't rate it good or bad. read more

Okay so, we walk in, (we've never been there before) we wait to be seated, nobody says anything to us. We dont see a sign that says please seat yourself, so were just standing. We probably wait about 5 minutes. During that time I'm watching this waitress with red hair put plates of food on her tray to take it to the table and she GRABS with her BARE hands, 2 pieces of bacon and put its on another plate!!!!!! we are in the middle of a pandemic and you're grabbing things off plates with your bare hands!!! That is SO GROSS! We're new to this town and if that's how these small shops are doing things, we will be eating at the chains. So after that encounter, were still standing waiting to be seated and we see this dark haired lady grab a biscuit with her bare hands!!!! Absolutely disgusting. She was just counting money at the register and then proceeded to touch biscuits with her bare hands. Im just so mind blown that this even happened during a PANDEMIC. I recently stop in for a quick breakfast, just a simple bacon, eggs, and hash-browns meal, but what I received was great southern hospitality and great friendships. And to add the breakfast was superb. The bacon was perfectly cooked if you can believe that. Yeah l know how else is bacon supposed to be cooked.
