Nice family style restaurant in Mesquite. After working for many years here in the city, I'm actually surprised that I haven't visited sooner. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes, corn, and a house salad. It was pretty good; nothing too different about it. Pretty average. The restaurant, in my opinion, served more to the older crowd. Very quiet and quaint.

So, it's Friday evening and I want to get out but not really hungry. I ask my buddy where she wants…read moreto go and we both thought of Saltgrass (I've always loved their prime rib). We got a booth immediately at 7pm - shocker - but not surprised it was right next to the kitchen. On the bright side, our server appeared promptly and the drinks were on the way. I went for the Peachy Keen ($11.50), very good! I ordered a dinner salad, but when the server (Diana) asked if I wanted chicken on it, I agreed and for some reason it became a $19 salad. I was disappointed that it was 3 times the salad I wanted but it was very good. Fresh ingredients made it worth taking 3/4 of it home. I ordered the range rattlers ($16) as an app, even though I wasn't very hungry. They were hot and spicy and crunchy, with a nice piece of shrimp inside. so good! Two of the 4 went home, also. Diana was attentive, got everything right, brought my water with lemon right away, both of my peachys were delivered promptly and she kept our table clean. She even boxed up our meals and in the beginning remembered to ask if I was a rewards member, which no one does!! Two stars for that! Good service means a lot to me and I would recommend her to anyone. Actually, all the staff seemed to take their job seriously, they were all hustling. The managers were running as fast as the staff! Thanks for not letting me down, Saltgrass, even if you are in Mesquite, lol. just kidding, heehee

The Meatballs, Beef Carpaccio, Ceviche and Seared Tuna were all hits. Highly recommend sharing these. The Mains: * Ribeye: The highlight. That smoky charcoal flavor was spot on. * Lobster Risotto & Prawns: A bit of a mixed bag. The prawns were a tad too salty and the risotto lacked a bit of depth, though it was still a decent dish. The Service: Top-tier hospitality. They brought out a Sparkler Cake for my friend's birthday, which was a great touch. Verdict: Solid steak, incredible apps and even better vibes. Definitely a Dallas spot worth checking out.

What an absolute hidden gem in Mesquite!!! Mesquite isn't known to have the best dining options and…read morethe location is easy to dismiss as being good quality, but oh how wrong we have been! Seriously. 1) the service is top tier, super friendly AND it's all family operated 2) the meats were seasoned to perfection and you can tell immediately when you taste it that it was all marinated well and cooked with lots of love! They customize the meat to your liking in terms of cooking preferences without any commentary about the way YOU like your meat. This was big for me as a well-done only eater with texture preferences and not being patronized with sassy comments for my personal tastes when I'm paying for it. My partner likes his quite the opposite, more traditionally prepared, and they HAPPILY accommodated both of our preferences! We had picanha, ribeye, sirloin, garlic steak (forgot the cut), lamb and of course grilled pineapple. There were chicken and pork offerings too that we were too full to try. I didn't get lamb at first until my partner tried it and raved about it being sooo good. So I gave in and tried it and it was so bright with flavor like fresh lemon and herbs and was tender with no gamey aftertaste! It is indeed the best lamb we have ever tried to date. Please don't forget the chimichurri sauce from the salad bar to pair with your meats! It's so fresh and flavorful, perfect to set off the grilled charred meats. They give each of you a card for you to signal to the servers if you have the green side face up that you are ready for more, or flip it to red side face up to signal you are passing on being served more for the time being. 3) the salad bar at first glance looks small but it is mighty, packed with yummy options. I had potato salad, fresh beets, marinated cucumbers, olives, candied bacon. My partner had Cesar salad, tomato soup went nicely with the cheesy bread, and other things I cannot recall. There were more selections available that we didn't have room to try, but looked equally delicious and fresh. 4) they do serve wine and dranks if you imbibe. 5) they have done well with the ambiance and interior decor for the space that it is. I don't remember which day it is, but they also have live music there one day a week. 6) we paid $40/person all you can eat during dinner service. They offer lunch service M-F as well for $25/person - great deal! 7) we went the day after my partner's birthday and our waiter brought him a huge slice of cheesecake with Happy Birthday written on the plate - on the house! 8) please note they are closed on Mondays 9) they also offer catering services 10) this was the best Brazilian steakhouse experience that I have ever had personally, my partner agrees and we will definitely be back soon!! Please go support this fine family run restaurant that serves so much love in their craft!

Excellent local spot's take on the Brazilian steakhouse concept: like Fogo or Texas de Brazil…read morethey'll have a rotating server staff coming by to slice off delicious food for you. Ambiance: They would benefit from new pictures because the restaurant is actually much prettier than these pictures suggest - dim lighting, wine bottles cleverly used as decorations, etc. of course the space isn't that big and I had to sneak past people a couple times while waiters were slicing off meat, but then again you have the same experience at Fogo, which is typically a much bigger location with much more seating. So no points knocked there. On the whole the food is actually much tastier than Fogo, which we were able to compare/contrast nicely since we went there just the week prior. The garlic sirloin was overwhelmingly our most popular choice as well as the choice of the two tables nearby us. Don't sleep on the chicken however, and the grilled pineapple with sugar is super tasty as well. Salad bar equivalent was much smaller than Fogo's, but it's actually better. Not like that matters anyway, since the meat is the main attraction. Service was superb. We came in on a busy New Year's Eve with a reservation, and were able to be seated promptly. Staff was all super nice and friendly. You won't ever worry about the servers not attending to you, and one younger server was particularly diligent with our water refills. Thanks! Finally, value. The price is much better than Fogo's, and you're getting an overall better experience in exchange. You can bet that I left a nice tip! Overall an amazing, relatively lucky find. We will definitely be back and hope they enjoy great business for years to come. Thanks for giving us a special new local stop.

From the moment you walk…read morein, the atmosphere is clean, chic, and effortlessly cool -- and let's talk about that playlist... absolutely bomb. The music set the tone for an unforgettable night! I loved seeing the steaks and oysters beautifully displayed, and the open kitchen was such a nice touch -- watching the chefs in action added to the whole experience. Our waiter was phenomenal -- super accommodating, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs all night. We shared the cowboy steak ($72) sliced for two and WOW... perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a moment. The sides to choose from ranged between $16-$18 We ordered the creamed spinach and it was rich and delicious. The wedge salad was fresh and satisfying. The corn brûlée? A crowd favorite -- everyone at the table was obsessed! The only miss for us was the mac and cheese -- good texture, but it didn't leave a lasting flavor impression. What truly made the night special was the energy -- the experience felt personal, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect place to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. Wicked Butcher didn't just serve a meal... they created a memory. 10/10 would recommend for celebrations, date nights, or when you just want to feel fancy and fed.

Food - 4 Service - 3…read more Ambiance -4 Went on a Tuesday night while visiting from out of town and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was practically empty, so we sat in the bar/lounge area. The host and other staff were friendly. Our waiter came off a little smug at first and barely cracked a smile. He honestly seemed a bit annoyed that he had to wait on us, which felt very unfriendly. My friend managed to get him to loosen up a bit as the night went on though, so maybe that's just his personality. To his credit, he was very informative when it came to the main course options. The lighting was dim and intimate. Ambiance was simple and modern. I ordered the sea bass and my friend ordered the beef Wellington. Honestly, after tasting my fish, he ended up enjoying my sea bass more than his own dish. The sea bass was like butter, just as the waiter described it. If fish could fall off the bone, this one would have. It came with rice, cashews, and a ginger miso sauce. The cashews added a really nice crunch and texture and the flavors worked really well together. I thoroughly enjoyed it as b the only downside was the portion size. Like a lot of nicer restaurants, you get one small piece of fish... about the size of my pinky finger. My friend's beef Wellington, on the other hand, was just okay. He didn't say it was bad, but it definitely didn't stand out, especially compared to the sea bass. We also ordered potatoes as a side and the white truffle Caesar salad. The salad was good and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering, which I appreciated. The potatoes were solid too and paired well with the meal. Dessert, unfortunately, was not it! We ordered the Wicked Sundae. Our waiter had actually recommended the banana pudding or the chocolate tart, but we decided to try something else. We probably should've taken his advice. The sundae tasted mostly like ice cream and was missing the main part of the dish -- the brownie. Nothing to run home about, and it also happened to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Definitely not worth it.
