Left without food... and still hungry. We waited over 50 minutes during our lunch break for food that never arrived. About 45 minutes after ordering, we asked if we could just get it to-go since we needed to get back to work. We waited a little longer, asked again how much longer it would be, and were told the kitchen was backed up. At that point, we let them know we had to leave. I understand restaurants get busy, but nearly an hour for a chicken sandwich during lunch is unreasonable. If you're on a lunch break with limited time, I wouldn't recommend this as a lunch spot. read more

Good experience and would go back. We had an issue with an order and the person who I assume is the manager took care of it promptly and comped our dish. (We had one person in our party not receive their dinner due to a misunderstanding but they handled it well.) The food : The honey glazed salmon was cooked beautifully, and so was the broccolini. Seasoning was well balanced. BUT the rice underneath it was a miss. It was having an identity crisis. Not exactly sure what they were aiming for: Spanish rice ? Mexican rice ? Not a risotto, but certainly mush. The dish could do without this element. The pizza : the crust was more bread than crust. The sauce was good and the cup pepperoni is our favorite pepperoni. If you like a doughy bread type pizza you may like this. We like ours thinner and crispier with a chewy crust. The crust was bland. The Steak frites: order it! Best dish of the night. I would have ordered mine medium rare but I tried my husband's order which was more well done and it was still soft as flavorful. Next time I'm ordering my own and not sharing. The wine: we had a nice bottle of the Chenin blanc. It was aromatic, light and crisp. Everything I expected from a Chenin blanc. Amazing on a hot spring/summer night. They do have a good wine list that won't break the bank! Ambiance: I'm a fan! Dark and moody without being too dark and moody. My daughter and I ate at the Assembly House. The food was delicious. Had the chicken sandwich which was flavorful , nice presentation, and hot. My daughter had the Mexican shrimp cocktail. It was fresh and flavorful too . I wish I had more room in my stomach.The restaurant was clean, not too crowded , with contemporary music in the background. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I met a group of authors for dinner at Assembly House in Sunnyvale, so I knew I was going to have a good time at this restaurant because of the gathering... but I had no idea the food was really THAT good! And I do mean the food is good!!! I was thinking about the prime rib sandwich, and when I asked the waitress she guided me to the southern fried chicken sandwich. I am grateful she did this because the southern fried chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS!!! There were green tomatoes on it (and I was a little cautious about them) but the sweetness with the sauce was the right combination. Seriously, I want to go back right now for this sandwich! Lovely place for brunch, lunch, dinner, and/or drinks. I loved the vibes. Everything was prepped and served perfectly as ordered. The lawn was a nice feature if you have kids. They can play and still be in sight while adults dine in the cozy outdoor dining area which is equipped with fans and heaters for comfort depending on what the weather is like. Wanted to love this restaurant. Afternoon Sunday lunch. Really nice and cool interior seated very nice quickly. Service as ok. Even though they forgot to ring in my gambas before my entrees. The sandwich's were very pedestrian and with the prices I expected a higher level of bread and meat. The g shrimp were really hot but lacked any flavor and the crostini's were not edible. Both visits have been very pleasant and with superb service from being seated with a smile, ensuring we have drinks coming as soon we sat down and taking our food order with confidence. Expectations were high, based on other reviews, but there were issues, I'm afraid. First, the good: The restaurant is new and attractive, although quite noisy. Our server, Jacob, was helpful and friendly, but clearly overassigned, thusly quite underattentive. The servers appeared to be seriously understaffed. We even had to wait an uncomfortably long time for the check. As for the food, we had two thumbs up and two thumbs down. The prime rib French dip got a good reaction, as did the fried chicken sandwich. The shrimp appetizer was not impressive, as it consisted of four smallish unseasoned shrimps floating in a much-too-large bowl of melted butter sprinkled with chili flakes and with crisp toast pieces standing up around the edges. The flat iron steak with frites was a huge disappointment. The server didn't ask for the degree of doneness desired, so the steak came sliced and rareish. The rare parts of the meat were incredibly tough, and it was dry, with no drippings or butter evident on the all-too-tepid platter. The steak sauce, served in a ramekin, was a turnoff; please rethink this. The French fries, with the added Parmesan, were quite good. If I had ordered the steak, I would have been forced to send it back. Our friends did not, however, because service was so slow. Lastly, there was the ultimate show of arrogance: No salt or pepper on the tables, as though their seasoning was beyond improvement. I beg to differ. read more

I've had this place on three occasions and they are consistent in this - food served hot and efficiently, the taste is perfectly balanced and it's affordable. The pizza is nice - balanced crust not too thick or thin. Toppings are great. Had the salmon - perfectly cooked and spiced well. The Wedge salad is also amazing. They must make their own ranch because it tastes homemade and the produce tastes fresh. The chicken sandwich is probably the best I've had. Also - the chef regularly goes and introduces himself. Great presence and can tell they are passionate about quality. Consistent so far. We started with the truffle fries which were delightful. My two dinner mates had pizza and I had steak frites, but with mashed potatoes instead of fries. The steak wasn't seasoned much at all, but when dipped in their steak house was delicious! The pizza received rave reviews. Our service was great and the waiter was very friendly and made recommendations when asked. They have happy hour between 3-6:30 Monday through Friday for 3 specific drinks. Their food is so good. Their pizzas are our favorite. But the other items we've tried are very good as well. Very friendly staff but short staffed during these peak times. The manager is always onsite and helping out and he is very friendly. However, maybe on days that a band is playing, let patrons know that if Sun is too much for them, that the curtains can't be closed as other patrons would like to continue watching them.
