Good experience and would go back. We had an issue with an order and the person who I assume is the manager took care of it promptly and comped our dish. (We had one person in our party not receive their dinner due to a misunderstanding but they handled it well.) The food : The honey glazed salmon was cooked beautifully, and so was the broccolini. Seasoning was well balanced. BUT the rice underneath it was a miss. It was having an identity crisis. Not exactly sure what they were aiming for: Spanish rice ? Mexican rice ? Not a risotto, but certainly mush. The dish could do without this element. The pizza : the crust was more bread than crust. The sauce was good and the cup pepperoni is our favorite pepperoni. If you like a doughy bread type pizza you may like this. We like ours thinner and crispier with a chewy crust. The crust was bland. The Steak frites: order it! Best dish of the night. I would have ordered mine medium rare but I tried my husband's order which was more well done and it was still soft as flavorful. Next time I'm ordering my own and not sharing. The wine: we had a nice bottle of the Chenin blanc. It was aromatic, light and crisp. Everything I expected from a Chenin blanc. Amazing on a hot spring/summer night. They do have a good wine list that won't break the bank! Ambiance: I'm a fan! Dark and moody without being too dark and moody. They had live music and although a little loud for conversation if you're in the mood for a nice night out and don't want to drive to mesquite/dallas this is the place.

I met a group of authors for dinner at Assembly House in Sunnyvale, so I knew I was going to have a good time at this restaurant because of the gathering... but I had no idea the food was really THAT good! And I do mean the food is good!!! I was thinking about the prime rib sandwich, and when I asked the waitress she guided me to the southern fried chicken sandwich. I am grateful she did this because the southern fried chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS!!! There were green tomatoes on it (and I was a little cautious about them) but the sweetness with the sauce was the right combination. Seriously, I want to go back right now for this sandwich! And the truffle fries - soooo good! I ate every bite and enjoyed my meal, my time with my author friends, and the time spent in this restaurant!

Lovely place for brunch, lunch, dinner, and/or drinks. I loved the vibes. Everything was prepped and served perfectly as ordered. The lawn was a nice feature if you have kids. They can play and still be in sight while adults dine in the cozy outdoor dining area which is equipped with fans and heaters for comfort depending on what the weather is like. There is a full bar which is always a plus; and the service was top tier.

Here is what they do right. The vibe hits. The food is beautiful. The staff super nice. Here is where they could use some improvement... drinks went empty and didn't ask until we were paying, food could use more seasoning, it was pretty loud. It felt a bit expensive compared to the value.

Wanted to love this restaurant. Afternoon Sunday lunch. Really nice and cool interior seated very nice quickly. Service as ok. Even though they forgot to ring in my gambas before my entrees. The sandwich's were very pedestrian and with the prices I expected a higher level of bread and meat. The g shrimp were really hot but lacked any flavor and the crostini's were not edible. Would go again but y'all got some room to improve.

The breakfast burrito was delicious. The combination of flavors with chorizo Verde pickled onions refried beans was a smashing hit. The have comfortable outdoor seating that makes it an ideal spot on great weather days.

Delicious fresh food. Perfectly cook shrimp and grits. Good portions, served hot. Sweet Hash with egg and sausage were a treat. Service is good, attentive, friendly. Well dressed professional. Ambiance - my kind of place. Outdoor covered patio with play area for kids. And indoor is pleasant decor. Not overly fussy. On trend. Hidden Gem!!!

We love our local restaurant! AH has a great menu, fair prices and an atmosphere that welcomes conversation, kids and enjoyment. The owners have done a great job coming together for this restaurant and I'm proud to support a small local business.

Great service, great food and great drinks. I had the salmon and devoured it before I could take a picture. Honestly, very well priced for what you get. Highly recommend!

New restaurant in Sunnyvale, very nice and attentive staff and servers. Menu had great variety and Food had really good flavor. Met the head chef and manager, very nice people. Can't wait to return and try something new! We had the smash burger, Cali chicken sandwich and the spicy meatballs.

Super chic outdoor patio with plate area for kids

Everything is always fabulous and on point here at Assembly House!. The menu is . The owners and chef are incredible and attentive. We asked if they would offer gluten free options a few weeks ago and the chef said of course. We returned and voila! Gluten Free buns, bread and Pizza! This is the place to be in Sunnyvale for drinks, dinner, brunch, and a place to make new friends and memories

They even have great mocktail options, which I love when you want the experience without the alcohol. The most unique one that I've tried is the Pho Ya - it's Pho inspired and actually delicious. Cocktails and the menu are seasonal so you always get surprises. My favorite food options are the Salmon Poke, Beef & Rice Bowl, and the mussels. The servers actually remember you, the owners are intentional about creating a unique, welcoming space, and you can tell they genuinely care about the community and giving back. Everyone was friendly and explained how service works there (later we saw the sign on the wall with the same guidance). Anyway, you check in for your table, and then you order at the counter-wine and/or food. We ordered the garlic knots, a side cous cous salad (but I don't think that's what we got- didn't matter because it was still good), the chicken cheesesteak, pepperoni flatbread and seasoned fries, along with a tasting. We asked for the food to be spaced out a little so we didn't have everything all at once at our very small table. The food was really good. The salad and garlic knots were super filling so we only nibbled on the other items and ended up boxing them up. I will say the flavors of the chicken cheesesteak were delicious, and I was disappointed to find it will be removed from the menu. The tasting consists of 5 wine choices and costs $18 per person. It's a 1.25 ounce pour and gives a good sampling of the wine. I really enjoyed 3 out of the 5 and same for the man. He had more whites, while I had all reds (and of course we shared. We didn't buy any bottles but might next time. Anyway we say several dates, a couple groups of ladies having a night out, families and one birthday party. As I stated earlier, we will go back and I definitely recommend. We spent about $113 pre tip.

Waters Edge is a winery and a bistro - so you can come for drinks or a meal or both. We were told that they make all of the wines on their menu, of which there are dozens of wines on their menu. I've been to a few urban wineries before, and it's an interesting concept. Waters Edge buys grape must (crushed grapes) from around the world and then craft and bottle wines made from that must at their locations (this Dallas location is one of 15 across the country). Wanting to try a few of their wines, the four of us shared two flights of five wines each. We tried the Tour of Armenia and Alec's Flight (a rotating selection of wines by their winemaker). Did I like every wine? No. But I thought most of them were pretty good. Personally, I'm not sure they need to make this many wines; I'll always prefer a business that does ten things well than fifty things fine (the Cheesecake Factory rule). But most of the wines were pretty nice (of the 10 I tried, I wouldn't drink 3 or 4 but wouldn't mind drinking the rest again). I appreciated that many of their wines are Armenian style, because I haven't had much opportunity to try Armenian wines. We also ordered a few snacks - they have a full food menu. We shared their Deviled Egg of the Month (2 eggs - 4 halves) and their Cheese is Life Board (two cheeses, hot honey, giardiniera, and crispy flatbread), which were both good snacks. They've been open just under a year, but the place doesn't feel quite lived in yet. The dining room has a large room divider in it, set up like a bookshelf. It has books and card/trivia games about wine and more. But many of these items were still wrapped in plastic, making it feel a little impersonal. The service was good, and it's a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours! The food we had was pretty good. The wines in my opinion are just okay - probably not the spot to take a wine snob on a date. But they have a large variety of wines, so you're likely to find one or many that you like. Not a bad place to spend some time if you're in the neighborhood!
