Complaint - Negligence and Failure to Respond | Mesquite, TX Location To Whom It May Concern, This email serves as a formal legal complaint regarding a serious injury caused by negligence at the Texas Roadhouse location in Mesquite, Texas, and the company's complete failure to respond, follow up, or demonstrate even minimal concern afterward. On July 30, 2025, my family and I visited the Mesquite, Texas Texas Roadhouse to celebrate my birthday. What should have been a routine family dinner turned into a medical emergency due to your company's failure to maintain a safe parking lot. My wife stepped into a pothole in your parking lot, lost her footing, and fell. The condition of the lot was dangerous and clearly not properly maintained. Several bystanders stopped to assist, and due to the severity of her injuries, we had no choice but to leave immediately and go straight to urgent care. At the medical facility, my wife was examined, X-rayed, placed in a medical boot for her foot, and given a hand wrap as well. The total medical bills resulting from this incident exceeded $48,000. These were not optional or precautionary visits--this was a direct result of an unsafe condition on your property. I contacted the Mesquite location promptly. An incident report was filed, but the staff appeared far more concerned with collecting information for liability purposes than with my wife's actual well-being. At no point did anyone ask how she was doing, express concern, or follow up afterward. I reasonably expected--at the very least--an apology, a return phone call, or some acknowledgment that a customer had been injured on your property. That expectation has proven to be grossly misplaced. Since July, I have: Called the Mesquite location multiple times Contacted the corporate office repeatedly Been assured that someone would "get back to me" Left voicemails and messages on at least a dozen occasions It is now the end of December, and no one has contacted us. Not once. This level of indifference is unacceptable. It demonstrates a complete lack of customer care, accountability, and empathy. The message is clear: once the money is spent, customers no longer matter. To be clear: I am not someone who looks for lawsuits. However, your continued silence has left us with no other option. Your company has been given more than adequate opportunity to address this matter informally and responsibly. You have chosen not to. As a result, I will now be filing formal legal complaints and pursuing all available remedies related to this incident, including but not limited to negligence, failure to maintain safe premises, and failure to respond in good faith after a documented injury. This email is sent in good faith as a final written record of: The incident The injuries The financial damages And your company's prolonged refusal to engage Any further communication regarding this matter should be handled promptly and professionally. Sincerely, Julie Morgan-Hart

Hair in my salad. The manager NEVER came to our table to say anything to us. Never acknowledged us regarding this very unsanitary event. Our waitress Isabel was really nice! The management is very rude! Go and eat at your own risk!

I came here to meet my aunt for dinner. Everything hanging on the walls reminds you that this is Texas from signs, painting, and taxidermy. The food here was good and cooked to my satisfaction. The service was great . My water glass was never empty

This location has a great turn around. In a Saturday night we waited about 4 minutes to be seated they were moving quickly. Service was great! I had the half rack of ribs with mash and broccoli delicious! Love the bread you get when you are seated warm and the butter is yummy,

I have mixed feelings about my experience at this location. I came in yesterday and sat at the bar but was a little disappointed when nobody was trying to ask me if I needed anything for a while. It wasn't until I tried getting one of the server's attention, that they finally helped me. After that, it all went well with the service. My issue is mainly with the food, the steak was cold and so were the fries and broccoli. I was starving so I didn't say anything and took the food home. I can put it in the air fryer and it would be ok. After all the bread filled me up. I'm willing to give the location a chance, as I've been to the Terrell location and they rock. Hopefully it's better next time.

We had a large group and there was a long wait to get a table, to get our drink order, and then finally our food order. The restaurant is similar to Applebees or Chili's - just an average "fern bar" type restaurant. There weren't many veggie options on the menu. Lots of chicken, and of course, true to the restaurant name, lots of cheese. They brought us some incredible croissants in a thick honey butter sauce. The chips and salsa appetizer comes with salsa on the side and a meaty queso. I tried the broccoli and cheese side - the portion is tiny! This is a true side and not a good substitute for a meal. Super affordable though! They really outdid themselves on the birthday cake! Rich, chocolatey, with a fudge syrup - it was delicious. And kudos to the servers for being good sports and leading the birthday song. They were great about out large party splitting the check and the electronic pay device they brought to the table made it easy.

Cheddars is a good value, big portions restaurant. Typically they are consistent and do provide a good product for a great value. Most meals are less than $20 which should be your first clue. My wife and I have eaten at Cheddars since the early 2000s and while the food quality is not what it was before they were purchased by Darden, think Olive Garden; the food is a good value.

For entrees, we ordered the Trio Combo (tamale, chicken enchilada, crispy/soft ground beef taco) rice & charro beans; 6-count Nachos Texanos appetizer (beef fajita) - these reminded me of how ceviche is served because there was fajita aplenty on top n barely notice the cheese on the individual tiny Tostadas but tender YUM; Enchiladas Texanas plate (cheese); and, 2 Tostadas plate (1 beef/1 chicken). We cleaned our plates. I was impressed the most with my Tostadas... The ground beef was THE BEST! I LOVE A MESSY TOSTADA just like a greasy burger topped off with Mexican crema & queso fresco! The Spanish rice had good flavor and the refried beans too. Service was friendly. There's only one waitress for about 3-4 tables at the time but she was sweet and we were patient. The food came out hot and fresh. The prices are very fair for the portions served. I think this is a GEM of a place and I can't wait to try ALL DAY BREAKFAST and their Huevos Rancheros. There's room for big parties to seat 20 as well and also a few booths for just 2. My only complaint is how warm it was in the restaurant.

I went there for my birthday specifically to take on the "Toddzilla Challenge"--only to find out after finishing it that the challenge no longer exists. A total of four of us ordered it, and at no point did the cashier or waitress inform us that the challenge was discontinued. The Toddzilla is still on the menu, and there's even a wall dedicated to past winners, making it seem like the challenge was still active. So, we did what any competitive eater would do--we finished every last bite, expecting to earn our place on the wall and a commemorative t-shirt. Instead, we were met with a shrug and told, "Oh yeah, that challenge isn't a thing anymore." Talk about false advertising! The biggest issue? We specifically ordered four massive $22 burgers designed not to be finished, under the assumption we were taking on a legit challenge. If the staff had simply told us beforehand, we might have reconsidered. But nope--we were left in the dark. As for the food? It was... meh. The Toddzilla is just three beef patties with three slices of cheese--no sauce, no toppings, nothing. Just dry meat and bread. Fortunately, we asked for mayo, which helped a little, but without ketchup, mustard, pickles, or onions, it was a struggle to get through. Honestly, I think this place only gets good ratings because it's a bar. And let's be real--when alcohol is involved, food tends to get rated better than it actually is. If you're looking for a good burger, there are far better spots out there. Huge disappointment. *Poor *Decent *Ok *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Prices. Ok Food. Good Service.
