the Mesquite location was horrible The experience was -0 on July 22, 2026. I was discriminated against by the server and manager of the Mesquite Razoos. My children and I went in to have a birthday lunch. We ordered water and strawberry lemonade; this is when everything went down hill it took 24 minutes for the water to brought to the table and the server came to the table 3 times after taking our order and advised us "I'm sorry I can't read my own writing; can you all tell me again what you ordered" After repeating the orders 3 times I asked him can you at least bring the drinks? He finally brought out the drinks. The food came a little while after the drinks and I did not receive the garlic toast I ordered with the pasta I ordered. I informed the server immediately and he said, "oh yea I forgot to bring it" He returned 5 minutes or so later stating they actually have to make you some fresh garlic toast. I then advised my food will be gone or cold by the time it is received. He stated "yea I know" He then left the table and came back with a piece of bread BREAD BREAD (not even a whole slice a half slice of bread) with a yellow garlic looking sauce. Spread across that had maybe been gripes or places in a toaster. To my surprise the guests sitting directly beside us in a booth had ordered the exact same pasta and that guest had a slice or garlic toast. I ask him what it was he brought me and he said " Thats the garlic toast" I even led him to look at the difference between n the toasts he just stared at me in disgust. I asked for a manager and after 2 minutes the manager showed up and asked how he could "help" I explain to him the situation and before I could tell him the differences he said oh yea we have a new sauce that we apply to the garlic toast. I them advised him the sauce was not the issue The issue was it wasnt garlic toast like the one the other guest had and like the garlic toast I always receive when I come. He stated that Razoos had a new garlic bread and that was the issue I then stated so the new bread only applies to black customers and Yall just started serving this when I came? He said no it's been getting served I them stayed so she must have gotten Yall OLD brand as I pointed to the other guests plate. He looked over realize I had caught him in a lie and discrimination violation, and continues to try to justify the difference in garlic toast and a slice of bread. I asked for the ticket paid and informed him and the server I would post, write and send photos and not stop till this matter was resolved . The problem is the lie which was told to "shut me up" The lie which was told to " not correct " a situation. I plan to take further action if this is not handled in a timely and satisfactory manner read more

My wife and I went for happy hour food and drinks. The crawfish were a little small but that wasn't a surprise being so late in the season. They were, however, perfectly prepared and our server, Sylvia, was great! Both friendly and attentive, she made sure all our needs were met. read more

Now we went in and sat down. I ordered a drink (was informed I couldn't get it because of smelling like thc) which was FINE. Why did the server have an attitude w me the ENTIRE TIME LIKE I DID SOMETHING TO HER. And the only reason I returned is because I visited this place last week and the crawfish was awesome. We went there on Saturday afternoon to take advantage of the secret menu special that we were sent via text. The service was extremely slow and for only a couple of items off the dollar menu, it took an hour to get our food and drink. But that's not why I don't recommend this business. My bill was $5.42, I gave my server a $20 bill, she brought me back a 10 and four singles... When I asked where my 58 cents was, I was told "oh we don't do change" I told her to consider that her tip. If a business is going to go to this kind of policy, then it needs to be in the customer's favor. Otherwise they need to cough up the money they owe me. I realize 58 cents is not the end of the world for me, but it's the point of the matter. Look how much they're making on every person every day doing this. read more

I have frequently ate at the mesquite location for over 15 yrs, I ordered the zydeco pasta with sauted shrimp. Well I'm here to inform you they serve shrimp from China which has no flavor, I asked the waitress and she verified my instinct which was true. Come On Razzooz, you boast about Cajun and all things associated with the Bayou, so your shrimp should have been from the (Bayou Gulf shrimp. ) it is known for its flavor. Stop using shrimp from china China please. ! A true caj7n knows the difference and a Texan does too! Very disappointing and waste of my money, I couldn't even eat it. So where should I start...Hmmm let me start by saying Mmmm and Mmmm. The Boudin Balls had the right amount of spice nicely fried and oh so good. Hubby had the Cajun Combo Skillet this meal came with Grilled andouille, shrimp Creole, crawfish e'touf'ee, red beans & garlic toast. He truly enjoyed his meal and I enjoyed tasting all of it. Lol. My meal I had the Hurricane Salmon which is Grilled salmon fillet brush with sweet & spicy Hurricane glaze. I substituted the mash potatoes for beans & rice and corn on the cob. We went to eat on national Margarita day so I expected it to be very busy. When we got there we were immediately seated. The drinks and the food was good. The lunch portion of the pasta was just what I needed. The bread pudding was very good and was just enough to share. I will be back. read more

I visited this restaurant at 4 PM and I was extremely disappointed in the service and the ignorance of the wait staff that ignored me, but when white patrons arrived, they were able to get seated and get their food while before I did, despite the fact that I had been here waiting first for over 15 minutes before someone would even come to my table in the bar area. In fact, I happened to notice that the waitress had to be told to come serve me by the manager, and openly displayed a bad attitude about being told to come to my table. I'm not a picky person, but when people give me reason to notice that they are trying to avoid serving me or helping, I think that it becomes obvious that I need to write the post for a review. I had waited unattended for 15 minutes before getting a glass of water on the table while sitting at a booth in the bar area. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy. It just makes the over all experience horrible and I am disappointed and wish I hadn't come here. After I watched several white patrons get their food and appetizers before me, I had to say something to the waitress --and then my food came. To add insult to injury the food was completely cold, and it ruined my appetite. The waitress didn't come check on me either, so I packed the cold food and asked for the check. This is just not a place that I think respect diversity and when they see a black face, they just think that it's going to be a not positive experience. I didn't get my food until 4:45 pm and there was nobody in the restaurant. Contrast to popular belief, black patrons are very classy and respectful, and it just seen my Fay have a problem with serving blacks at this location . I hate being treated otherwise. Food was a four. I had a fried pork chop. It was solid. Mashed potatoes were pretty good. Our server, Linsey, was super nice. She was very helpful and responsive. The manager, Ricky, sparked up a great conversation with our table and asked us what kind of foods we liked. He brought out some bread and cheese dip with shrimp. The shrimp had the tail on it (which was fine) but it was wrapped in bacon that was soggy and undercooked, literally inedible. Now onto the best part... The chicken wings . I ate the wings in a darker room, and I noticed they tasted funny, took the box to my kitchen and voilà Bloody uncooked, pink chicken , actually, not even pink... I re-introduced a couple of friends to Razoo's last night. It was a great experience and redeemed my friends' faith in Mesquite dining. The food was superb as always, and we loved our server Jess! She was super friendly, conversational, immediately told us tof the menu specials, and provided exceptional quick service. Jess will go far in life! The manager went above and beyond to improve our dining experience, when she selflessly went outside to stand in front of headlights shining directly at our table! Who does that?? It came out hot, ready, and unflavored the Gumbo, the catfish basket, the green beans, and red beans and rice tasted as if they didn't even use Cajun seasoning. I mean that's all it could have used. I'm a regular guest & I stopped by for Fat Tuesday & the staff and managers were providing 5 star service even though the place was packed inside & out! Charles, Eric, & Scott were doing an excellent job making sure everything was running smoothly and that everyone was being taken care of. I ordered crawfish & drinks and everything was perfect and I was served in a timely manner! This is the best location. The food is always fresh & hot and they have the best staff! Razzoo's was much better before the pandemic. After the pandemic their menu has changed. Portions appear smaller. They no longer have Happy Hour. For me there are fewer choices on the menu and it's pricier now. I dont recommend it. read more

It wasn't really busy so I don't understand why my pasta dish was cold. My shrimp was hot and the pasta was room temperature. I assume they keep the pasta precooked and add the protein based on the order. I lost my appetite buy I will be able to enjoy the food, tomorrow after I heat it up. The waiter did ask if he could heat it up and said the ac is why my food may have cooled so quickly. You could tell the dish was cold as the cheese never melted.
