The food is Amazing. Fast service. Inside is clean. Had fish , fried Shrimp, shrimp cocktail. They were so delicious. We will be back.

I have always loved my food that I have gotten at the seafood shack. Tonight I ordered by the drive-in, the tacos Vallarta with the fish. I got home and there was no cabbage slaw nor the white sauce only the orange sauce in my taco order.... the cabbage slaw is what sets these fish tacos off that are delicious. I've taken many people to this location & taking several of my Spanish friends from Mexico who loves this dish. I am very disappointed tonight because this does not taste as the usual order of taco Vallarta that I have gotten for several years now with your Mesquite location. I just called the store and got two people who could not speak any English and understand what I was trying to tell about my order. when I asked for the young girl who was at the drive-in window who spoke English she was not available. I talked to another young lady who did not really understand what I was talking about, but then she took my name and said the next time I come up there, they would give me an extra slaw. Duh, really!!! There should be someone at this restaurant that can speak English when there is something wrong with an order. The young lady asked me did I want to drive back up there; I told her NO - I live 15 minutes away. My meal that I was really excited for become very disappointing tonight. I know it's a Friday night, but that doesn't matter where the quality wasn't right, not what I'm used to. read more

The food was amazing. I recommend trying the shrimp enchiladas & hush puppies. Other than great food, it's super affordable and convenient for big families. The only thing I'd suggest is having more space for people to sit comfortably as it is pretty small and tables are too close to each other. read more

The food is always good. No matter what you order it's always seasoned right. The atmosphere is calm whenever I go.

We used to go to Fish and tails in Richardson, but it was a little bit of a drive so when we found this place, and it was great. We got the shrimp cocktail and fish baskets. Their margaritas are excellent and the people are really nice too. read more

Service at the bar is always great with amazing drinks and food. The camarones al chipotle are delicious as well as the fajitas those 2 are always my go to. This should be called Jose's Crab Shack, because it is the Mexican love-child of Long John Silver and a good Taqueria. And I mean that in the most flattering way possible; this place is GREAT! Order at the counter, and fix your drink. They will bring tour food to the table. They'll also mix some good drinks! It's not exactly a full bar, but they have a decent variety of liquors - not just margaritas! The Seafood Gumbo is excellent; large shrimp, sausage, and plenty of savory veggie stock. Better still; there are PLENTY of crackers to add to the gumbo (always hard to get enough crackers!). The fried shrimp and fish are crispy and dry, like I like them. The hush-puppies are good, and the fries are dry and fairly crisp - with the skin on for flavor. I loved our food, and want to go back for more!! I would've gone 5 stars if the Key Lime Pie was better, but hey - that's my bad - I should've gotten the Tres Leches for dessert. read more

I been so gently wating , passing 10 days , I do not receive nothing so decided to call the restaurant .. this manager asking for my monthly state to get my money back sooo what happened in this 10 fkn days . so finally sharing screenshot of personal checking account . so now I got drive plano to mesquite to pick up my money ... im sure pass over 10 more days to receive my money electronically if the manager do everything right ... this is sooo stupid... Extremely expensive for the amount of food. The large shrimp cocktail was literally 75% tomato juice. It also tasted super sweet like ketchup. The bacon wrapped appetizer consisted of 6 tiny jalapeños that did not taste good at all. The toothpick inside them was larger than the item. Super expensive and not good. This restaurant is good and a pleasant surprise ! The fried fish is battered in a cornmeal mixture and is nice and crispy. It's not the fluffy beer-battered style fish and chips, which is fine, because it's really good ! Fish tacos are delicious and served with a red sauce on the side which is nice and spicy. There were 3 to an order and very generous in size. Tacos are topped with a fresh coleslaw salad. This place is a very welcomed addition to the Mesquite restaurant scene. Hope it stays open long enough for me to try the ceviche. The tamarind drink is a bit on the sweet side with not enough tart, but that's just me being picky. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Everyone's food around the restaurant looked good, from the shrimp cocktails to the seafood platters. 4 solid stars - good food and casual atmosphere. It was awesome! Don't be fooled by its appearance with a drive through. This is a full service restaurant that specializes in every seafood item you typically see at a great Mexican Restaurant AND what you see at a good Seafood Restaurant. They have grilled Tilapia and Salmon with fresh sauteed squash, and also have some of the tastiest ceviche I have had. I had the gumbo and 1 ceviche tostada and the gumbo was nice and not too spicy. I kicked it up a little with thier orange habanero sauce. My mother had the fried combo platter with 4 shrimp and two fish filets. They were served piping hot and were thin and crispy corn meal batter. My mom really liked it and the shrimp were huge! The sauces were also great. They have key limes and soda water out of the sida fountain for a nice refreshing sugar free drink. Try it, you will like it! read more

Wow where do I start. Rude customer service. Pulled to the drive thru ordered my food. Got to the window just for the lady to tell me they didn't have my order. Ok I must was talking to a damn ghost in the back... anyways got shrimp corn and potatoes and fries. First off the shrimp was horrible. Little pieces, no seasoning once so ever and I had Cajun... how can you mess up Cajun! The corn tasted to old. Second the fries was soggy! Soggy fries smh. I have to agree with another post...this catfish had no taste. Ordered 2 piece, fries, hushpuppies for 7 bucks.... I did find it reasonable in price. The fish has a cornmeal crustlike shell that makes it hard for anything to stick on the outside besides tartar sauce, so for the batter to not have any flavor and then you try and put a little salt on it, the salt just slides off onto the table. Fries ok. Two carrot sticks. 3 Tubular hushpuppies and two kinds of tartar sauce (reg and cajun I think). Not sure if I'll try something else on the menu for the sake of it. I'd like to since it has a drive thru and I am a fan of drive thrus. Also, the parking is chaotic. It only has one way in and out. If you go in and change your mind, you have to go to the back and turn around and come back toward the entrance which is the same for drive thru which makes it a little nerving because if someone else is coming in, then it kinda feels like playing "chicken" with your vehicle to who is going to swerve right or left. So it is easy for a person to be entering, a person to be exiting and a person to be leaving the drive thru lane all at the same time since it is the same part of parking lot. Madness. read more

We ordered a Shrimp Cocktail and Caldo de Mariscos and both were delish. The Shrimp Cocktail is a little overpriced but it is well served with a lot of shrimp, avocado, and pico de gallo. The Caldo de Mariscos (shrimp, fish, and octopus) was also well served but it was missing octopus and the shrimp is unpeeled shrimp with its head. The flavor of the caldo was good but what made it less enjoyable is having to peel the shrimp and devein it before eating it. The aguas frescas were also tasty. They were served in a rimmed cup with chamoy. If in doubt what Maracuya is, it's Passion Fruit. It tasted sooo good! read more
