    Decent portion sizes

With a thick corn bread style breading rather than basic batter fry and a killer lemonade, this place is rather good. I got the combo #10 so I got a basket of everything essentially (minus the side dishes like okra). The catfish is just cooked and still has the appropriate tight, meaty tone. The oysters are sweet rather than overly salty and not at all leaky, though I've had fresher. The fries are flat cut UK style chips instead of shoestrings or classic wedges, though they need a bit of seasoning. The shrimp are very hearty and butterflied just enough to make a very toothsome mouthful most people can't eat in a single bite. Everything needed lemon and salt and hotsauce, but the crunch was very satisfying. Portion sizes were good. Staff is unprofessional, not in a rude way, but in a very friendly, home style way, just walking in and out of the kitchen and around the register areas, working at a steady and relaxed pace. I'm unsure of when, but I get the feeling that they changed owners because other posts mention this is a black owned business, but I did not meet a single black employee. Furthermore, this place IS open on Sundays, and they even have a sign saying so up front, so that makes me think that there's definitely new management. I Did meet several older gentlemen though who say they go there all the time, and I can really see why the regulars like this place. Should you take a hot date here? No. Is this a good place to grab a solid bite to eat at a good price? Yes.

It's hard to find a good fish place anymore. But I have to say Crazy Cat takes the edge off when I'm craving fried fish and oysters. They do pretty good for a fast food/sit in restaurant. The food at this location has always been hot and fresh to order (Centerville Location) I really enjoy the oysters (request how you want them...fried soft, medium or hard). If I had to make a suggestion it would be to add the oysters on other combinations plates (it's too restrictive...I don't want to be required to get shrimp when I only want fish & oysters). There only one combo plate w/fish & oysters (but you only get 4 oysters). It would be nice to add a few more plate obtains, I.e., 6 or 8 oysters). They are small and expensive - so it would be nice to get the best bang for your buck!

Food was fresh and hot when delivered to the table. The catfish fillets was nicely flavored (better flavor than aww shucks). They have this lemonade flavored Kool-Aid that is great! The catfish nuggets were lackluster to say the least. Very crunchy and not much fish in between.......

I thought there was something special going on, but it wasn't. It was just away the establishment makes additional parking in the front of the restaurant, but there is sufficient parking in the back of the restaurant if you don't mind parking yourself. We went for oyster shots which wee about $10 per shot which included an oyster ZingZang, and your choice of vodka. The service was fast and friendly, but I highly recommend you pay for a side shot, for the oyster shot alone is not strong. We did not purchase food so this rating is based on the experience, bar, and service. I didn't think it was fair to give them a four because we did not eat. My plan is to return for a full meal and update this review if needed. The ambiance included a live band and people dancing next to the stage. .The items that came out of the kitchen all looked tasty and the menu prices were reasonable. This place specializes in seafood: boil, grilled, and fried. The plates ranged from $10 to $30 books.

I got home and there was no cabbage slaw nor the white sauce only the orange sauce in my taco order.... the cabbage slaw is what sets these fish tacos off that are delicious. I've taken many people to this location & taking several of my Spanish friends from Mexico who loves this dish. I am very disappointed tonight because this does not taste as the usual order of taco Vallarta that I have gotten for several years now with your Mesquite location. I just called the store and got two people who could not speak any English and understand what I was trying to tell about my order. when I asked for the young girl who was at the drive-in window who spoke English she was not available. I talked to another young lady who did not really understand what I was talking about, but then she took my name and said the next time I come up there, they would give me an extra slaw. Duh, really!!! There should be someone at this restaurant that can speak English when there is something wrong with an order. The young lady asked me did I want to drive back up there; I told her NO - I live 15 minutes away. My meal that I was really excited for become very disappointing tonight. I know it's a Friday night, but that doesn't matter where the quality wasn't right, not what I'm used to.

The only thing I'd suggest is having more space for people to sit comfortably as it is pretty small and tables are too close to each other.

We could tell they were being dishonest because she came back twice saying they say it's catfish. The waitress never came back to check on us after that. The chicken wings were undercooked The crawfish didn't really taste like live crawfish (I eat crawfish all the time and know the difference) We didn't complain just knew in that moment we would never come back. My husband went to pay and they had the nerve to charge him for that catfish. He said I sent it back because it's not what you advertised and the other waitress came from the back and confirmed it's swai. But still the manager continued to stand firm saying no refunds on food. He said it was posted.. my husband said where....It's on the napkin holder!!! No physical menus to look at. Deceitful To us it's about principle don't advertise your product as something it's not and expect people to pay for it when you admittedly said it was not catfish. This should be against the law.. one could be allergic to this fish. Anyways they were rude, not attentive, food undercooked, under seasoned crawfish.... I should have paid attention to the reviews I will just make the drive to the Mansfield Location they are the best of this franchise hands down. I wouldn't be surprised if this place closes in the next six months they need a lot of work!! Customer Satisfaction should be of utmost importance If a seafood place is not busy during crawfish season that is a red flag

After a long day in transit, all we wanted was something deeply satisfying, the kind of meal that feels like a reward. When my mother suggested Aunt Irene's Kitchen, there was no hesitation. She spoke of it with the reverence reserved for places that become part of your personal geography former neighborhood staples, the kind you measure other meals against. Years ago, when she lived nearby, this was her spot. And now, standing beside her in a line that stretched out the door, it was clear we weren't the only ones holding onto that sentiment. The queue moved with surprising ease, a quiet efficiency that felt almost practiced. Inside, the energy was unpretentious and steady. Our cashier, while not particularly warm, was brisk and knowledgeable answering questions with the kind of clarity that suggests confidence in the product more than performance. We ordered simply: wings with fries, and two plates of fried fish with fries. The wings hadn't been part of the original plan, but a fellow patron mid-meal and visibly excited leaned over to insist. It felt like advice worth taking. And it was. The food arrived in its own time this is not a place for the impatient but what it lacked in speed, it more than made up for in flavor. The fish was crisp and tender, the wings richly seasoned, each bite layered with the kind of depth that doesn't rush itself. Then there was the jalapeño tucked alongside the plate like a quiet signature. It cut through the richness with a bright, deliberate heat, a small but memorable detail that elevated the entire experience. The dining room itself is modest and well-kept, with many opting to take their meals to-go or retreat to their cars. There's an ease to it all ample parking, friendly faces coming and going, a sense of community that lingers longer than the wait. Because that's the thing about places like this: they don't just feed you, they remind you why the wait was worth it.
