JT's did not disappoint. It was very nostalgic coming to this place. A family relative used to own this location when it was a Williams Chicken. Although I didn't get pictures of everything, portions were great. Within our group we had fried fish, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, chicken strips, burger, fried rice and fries. Staff was extremely nice and everything was made fresh to order.

Little hole in the wall off hwy 30. Walked in and the girl at the register was rude, no hello, no can I help you and no smile at all. She really needs so.e training. However the gentleman came out from the back and was way nicer and friendly. As for the food I had the salt and pepper wings with "fried rice". It was good, but didn't expect all the jalapenos and chili flakes...pepper is not that! Overall food was not too bad.

I had the 3 piece porkchop basket with fried rice, 2 piece fish basket with fries and 15 piece salt n pepper wing basket with fries. I felt the pork chops were try because they were thinly cut and over fried. The fried rice was simple, nothing I'd eat again. The fish basket was a little better, not overcooked and seasoned pretty well. The wings were good, I will probably purchased those again because my kids liked them. They are no Tucker's wings but a hell of a lot better than wingstop!

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Unfortunately I can't relate to those who had either a great experience or great food. First off it was not well kept. By this I mean all the tables could have used a wipe down and the floor needed to be swept. The food was very bland and had a strange after taste. Because of that I only are one of the wings. The gumbo was watery and had a strong celery taste to it. Being that I've passed this place for a year and wanted to try it I really wanted to like the food. It just didn't happen for me.

After a job fair and going to work my belly told me, LOOK there is the Cajun place you've been passing for months, go eat..Now! I pulled into the restaurant which is located next to a busy access road. When you enter, it's still set up like the start of Covid which was odd for Texas. The young lady at the counter must have had a lot of sugar earlier and was crashing since she was low energy. Low energy and playing with the phone doesn't equal great customer service. You can see the menu up against the wall and my belly said, gumbo and fish. I wanted to wash my hands but both restrooms were closed, insert eye roll with an annoying really. There were only two customers and it took a while to get my food. The gumbo was plain with hardly any stuff inside of soup. The fish were lightly breaded yet really no exceptional flavor. For 20 bucks the not stellar customer service, no bathrooms and flavorless food was not a good experience. I will try it again in the future, maybe it was an off day for the restaurant and for sure for my big belly. Insert the sound of a dying pacman.

Tiny crawfish at 10.99 a pound and it's crawfish season. So disappointed not eating these I want my money back.

Gave tiny crawfish at 11 a pound after I asked the size he said it was medium size smh very disappointed. The workers are always so dry. I don't think I will be going back.

This hole in the wall right off 30 and Broadway by the pawn shop is the biggest hidden gem! Crazy huge menu like all your south dallas seafood joints. I stopped by to check them out and man I was blown away by the attentiveness of the employees and how great the food was. On top of that it's a great price. Got a couple of the 1fish 3 shrimp orders with the shrimp fried rice of course. You know it's legit when they got the shrimp fried rice option as the side! Go now!

Wow, just wow. I first went through the drive through to order food but got super overwhelmed with all the menu options lol I wanted to know the difference in the salt and pepper wings vs the regular . I was told they had pictures inside if I wanted to see what it looked like so I took the advice and got off. They literally have a WHOLE wall with pictures of all the dishes they serve! Amazingly helpful! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on the food . I ordered the salt and pepper chicken, fried fish and shrimp and 3 whole wings with fried rice. Everything was HOT and FRESH, and tasted so good! The salt and pepper chicken really has a nice twist to it with the onion , jalapeños, and chili pepper sprinkles! The fish and shrimp were batter perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The fries have a tasty seasoning on them as well. The wings were also seasoned just right and fried to perfection. I didn't mind waiting the extra minutes to assure that. I highly recommended this place to anyone in this area! GREAT JOB JT's! I wish I lived closer, but definitely would drive 45 minutes to come back!

Food is delicious. Fast and friendly service. I certainly hope they aren't closed for good, that would be a real shame.

Six boudin balls and banana pudding. Starting with the dish that was the least appetizing, the garlic toast/ bread had no garlic spell or taste just butter taste. 2nd least favorite is the expensive banana pudding . I have had much better banana pudding with no bananas from another restaurant. I would have rather had more than 5 mini vanilla wafers instead of the cool whip topping . $7.99 for that never again . The French Quarter dish was dropped off it was received warm from the doordash dasher . Everything was seasoned well , the shrimp etoufee is a tad bit spicy but it isn't overwhelming. I wish they provided at least two catfish fillets instead of just one . . I didn't want any hushpuppies but there is no choice to decline them. Boudin balls are good. I am from Louisiana been living in Dallas-Fort Worth over 24 years now . I enjoy well cooked cajun meals . Portions large enough for leftovers

What I received was completely inedible. The tilapia was burnt and tasted almost rotten, not just overcooked but scorched to the point where the flavor was overpowering and unpleasant. The shrimp were also burnt to a crisp. The tails were visibly blackened, not charred for flavor, but burned. I managed maybe three bites before having to stop. No amount of cheese could cover how bad the fish tasted, and it honestly felt like the cheese was being used to mask a serious cooking issue. This was a complete waste of nearly $20. I also ordered the Grits & Gumbo, described as deep-fried grits with a crunchy exterior topped with house seafood gumbo. The grits were hard and bland, not flavorful. The gumbo itself was disappointing: the roux was thin and bitter, lacking depth or seasoning. The only decent part of the dish was the shrimp, but that alone couldn't save it. I finished the gumbo, so I'm not expecting a refund there, but the coddle plate absolutely should be refunded. It was genuinely inedible. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Flying Fish will not be getting any more of my business. Whoever is running the kitchen does not understand execution, seasoning, or basic seafood preparation. Strongly do not recommend.
