Iced vanilla latte
Claribel V.

I was picking up croissants at a bakery next to Alfred's and decided to give this place a try. I tried their world famous sugar free iced vanilla latte and ordered the 24 oz for around $8. I was actually surprised they offer a 24 oz size since most places only offer smaller sizes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with how much ice they put in the drink. I felt like I got closer to 16 oz of liquid instead of 24 oz. The vanilla latte looked pretty because you could see the milk and vanilla floating in the drink, but the taste was just mediocre. It wasn't strong enough for me and kind of reminded me of a Dunkin Donut latte. Maybe one more shot of espresso would have made it better. I'm not sure if I'll return because I really didn't like how much ice they put in my drink. I don't mind ice, but when I'm paying for a 24 oz drink, I should actually get 24 oz. I don't like feeling ripped off.

Came here to update my review bc I love it here more than ever. The coffee is always perfect and every single person who works here makes me feel so special by remembering my name and my drink every time I come. It really feels like an independent neighborhood coffee shop. Special shoutout to Alyssa, Jonah, Sebastian, Nicole, Noelle, Josh and everyone else who makes the perfect iced latte and helps me start my day the right way.

Tried the "World Famous" Vanilla Latte... Hubby Still Makes Mine Better Stumbled upon this coffee spot right next to the delicious Lou croissants nearby, and since my husband is a huge espresso coffee lover, I decided to surprise him with a nice iced coffee drink after our pastry stop. Anytime we try a new coffee spot, we either stick to our usuals or try whatever they're most known for. Since this was very spur of the moment and I didn't get a chance to Yelp-stalk the menu beforehand, I went straight for what they were apparently famous for -- the "World Famous Vanilla Latte" with whole milk. Service was very fast, and I believe they have maybe about two outdoor tables, but no indoor seating. Definitely more of a quick grab-and-go coffee stop. We ordered the 16 oz Vanilla Latte for $7.50, and I'd give it about a 7/10. Now every coffee spot makes their lattes a little differently, and while I know lattes naturally have more milk, this one had a bit too much milk for my preference. I will say though -- the drink itself was very smooth and easy to drink overall. But "world famous"? Hmm... I wouldn't quite go that far. I've definitely had better vanilla lattes elsewhere, and honestly... I probably still prefer the way my husband makes his at home lol. This was one of those drinks where you sip it and think, "Yeah, it's decent," but not something I'd go out of my way for again or crave later. Still, friendly service and a nice quick stop if you're already in the area! Happy drinks!

Steak and egg burrito & an Americano

Lady at the register was very nice . Americano was strong . (Added maple syrup and a splash of oatmilk). Burrito wasn't extraordinary but it does the job if you're in a pinch and just wanna grab something quickly . Keep in mind burrito is premade so you can't modify it .

Alfred Coffee is one of our favorites coffee spots. This is the first time we've visited this Alfred Coffee Burbank location since we weren't aware there's one at Burbank. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found parking right in front of Alfred Coffee. As usual staff was great, engaging and friendly. Alfred Coffee staff always provides excellent customer service and delicious coffee. We ordered our favorites, the World Famous Vanilla Latte Iced and Matcha Latte Iced. As always, Alfred Coffee does not disappoint. You can taste the espresso and vanilla yet it's not too sweet and oversaturated. The matcha was on point and a perfect balance with the latte. Thank you Alfred Coffee and can't wait to stop by tomorrow.

Parking is not great but we got lucky. Its all street parking so you might have to be searching but just requires a little patience. It's outside only with a small patio. Nice but the chairs are kind of wobbly. The staff taking our order was very friendly and happy to answer my questions and food allergy concern. I ordered the Chaggacino iced. Delicious! Its a mushroom coffee that I am not familiar with. Happy I tried it. Not too sweet and had a slightly different flavor to it. Subtle. Would live to return to this spot. Thank you!

Went here because I got a $20 gift card for my birthday. I know this place can be expensive, so I didn't think I'd be able to get much, but someone posted a photo of the pastries menu, so I was able to get 4 pastries which I'm quite happy about. I got 2 pain au chocolats, a chocolate chip cookie, and an almond croissant. When I unpacked them at home, I was so happy that I literally did a little dance. I did go over by $1 and tried to pay by cash, but the cashier said they didn't take cash, so I had to pay it by card. This place is more of a kiosk, so you can read the signs with the menu outside, or do what I did and look at the signs people posted on Google Maps ahead of time, then order at the little window. Afterwards, you go around to the side to wait for your order at the pick up window. I went around 8:30 in the morning and there were already around 4 people waiting for their orders ahead of me. It's all very casual and in the short time I was there, I saw and petted 3 dogs, and had small talk with one of the dog owners. Parking here is free on the side streets and easier than its other locations, but even then I still had to park at the very end of the block and walk back to the kiosk. There are also a bunch of yellow curbs which mean drop off or pick up of passengers only, but I still saw people park there anyway. There are a few bistro tables, chairs, and umbrellas outside if you'd like to eat and drink at the spot, but for the most part, most of us picked up our orders and took them home.

Ok for coffee, but the orders kept getting screeed up. We just want a cup of coffee. Why did it get to be so complicated? On a busy intersection corner that just seemed to be asking for an incident of some sort. We should've stopped at a McDonald's. Faster service and better coffee. What do ya want for LA? CritDicks

Cute little coffee spot in Burbank. I came by around 9am on a weekday and had no problem finding a two-hour street parking spot right out front. Super easy. I ordered ahead on their app and the wait was about 15 minutes, which felt a little long for the morning but not too bad. I tried the iced sparkling americano. They don't charge extra for the sparkling version, which I think is awesome. Price is $4.50 no matter if you get a 12, 16, or 24 oz. Pretty sure it's just two shots for all sizes though, so the big ones might taste watered down. The drink itself was actually really refreshing. It has this slight sweetness but I think that's just from the sparkling water. Definitely lighter than a latte and perfect if you want something caffeinated but not heavy. There are only three small tables outside, so seating is limited, but it works if you just want to sit for a bit. It's also right by Lou The French, so next time I'm planning to grab a pastry there to go with my coffee. Overall, nothing fancy, but I'd come back. The sparkling americano was different and worth trying.

Employees were super friendly and we were excited that they were showing the telemundo World Cup coverage. The menu was great. We split the carnitas plate and got Long Island iced tea. The brought out complimentary chips and salsa as well. The salsa was so good! The carnitas plate was awesome. It came with rice and beans and plantains. It was perfect for us to split. If we were still hungry, we already had planned on ordering à la carte tacos, but the plate was perfect. We were pleased. The menu was great, food was good, drink was good, and we had a nice time! I'll definitely come back!

Food was beyond sub par you can make the food at home and would taste better! Save your money. Everything we had from two orders of "taquitos", "esquite", quesadillas and a blood orange mojito. The only thing with a bit of flavor was the esquite, but again to pay for roasted corn on the cob with just mayo and cheese? For $13 ? NEVER AGAIN. I have a problem with the way they name their items which is a bit misleading. For example, they have an item called taquitos, meaning you would expect a rolled fried taquitos. What came was tacos dorados so why is it named taquitos? They DID write on the menu that it's fried tacos..but again why are they not just calling it TACOS DORADOS? Same with esquite typically esquites are corn off the cob but this was on the COBB and yes it was described on the menu as on the Cobb but again why not call it ELOTE instead of esquite. Clearly this is semantics but just frustrating. If you want authentic Mexican food there is a Don Cuco's around the block that is WAY better than this place. They are at a different tier than this Kalavera's location. If you're a drinker perhaps that would make the food taste better...so disappointed and a waste of money!

Since we were already making the trip to Burbank, we decided to be crazy and come for breakfast AND dinner. And we did just that! For breakfast, I got the steak and eggs, my husband got the eggs, sausage and ham, and we shared a Belgian waffle. Everything was delicious! Our server was extremely nice and friendly (I unfortunately didn't catch his name). Everyone seemed like a regular, and he was chatting with everyone, which was so nice to see. We even told him we'd be back for dinner! We explored Burbank for the day and came back for dinner. I got the Philly cheesesteak and my husband got the burger and fries. Everything was just as delicious! I even burned my mouth because I wasn't patient and took a huge bite which honestly just proves the food comes out hot and fresh! We'll definitely be back! What we got was an incredibly underwhelming, overpriced letdown from start to finish. The service was sluggish and merely mediocre, but the food was the real shock--it looked completely different from any photos on their menu or online. When our meals arrived, the portion sizes were almost comical. Each plate came with an astonishingly skimpy pile of maybe 10 to 15 tiny fries, and my burger was barely larger than a slider. My daughter's milk chocolate shake was served in a tiny 8-ounce plastic cup--not very 1950s diner-esque, to say the least. Even worse, my daughter's chicken sandwich looked so suspect that we had to conduct a detailed examination to ensure it wasn't raw or pink in the middle. The table itself was noticeably dirty and grimy, and the ketchup bottle on the table was downright gross. Believe it or not, the garlic wings were actually very good, but that was the sole bright spot in an otherwise sketchy meal. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but for these prices, that shouldn't matter. Save your time and money--think twice before coming here because we certainly won't be back. Also the prices on the menu are very inaccurate!
