I know I sound like a basic LA bitch, but I've become addicted to Alfred's iced matcha lattes with cloud cream ($10 for a large). I always get it with oat milk and an extra matcha shot and I look forward to it. The coffees are great too, and I haven't tried much of the food but my husband really liked his breakfast burrito I got for him once. There really isn't any parking, but everyone double parks or uses the loading curb to run up and grab their coffees. The parking lot in the place across the street is usually empty in the mornings, too. And the staff are super nice. My drinks are always ready earlier than promised. Minus one star because of the clunky online ordering process. I usually try to order ahead with Alfred's website so I can pick up at the window, and the ordering process is unnecessarily long and requires so many details. It also confirms your phone number after the payment screen so that you have to "pay" again, which glitches out when you try to use Apple Pay because you can't put in the verification code with Apple Pay up on your screen, nor can you close out of the payment. I hope they invest some of the profits from their expensive drinks into some better technology, but I love them anyway and they're my treat and self-care a few times a week! read more

I was in the area and needed coffee spontaneously. I first tried downloading and ordering off the app. It kept pushing my pick up time to later and later (like 20 minutes after ordering). I tried to complete the purchase with Apple Pay but it wouldn't go through. I decided to walk up and order a the window instead. Ordering at the window was very straightforward and friendly. I paid with card and stood out on the sidewalk to wait. There are a few tables and chairs outside and no seating inside because it's a window. After a short wait, they called my name and I had my coffee. It looks like the other customers were ordering food to go so that must be popular. I was picking up croissants at a bakery next to Alfred's and decided to give this place a try. I tried their world famous sugar free iced vanilla latte and ordered the 24 oz for around $8. I was actually surprised they offer a 24 oz size since most places only offer smaller sizes. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with how much ice they put in the drink. I felt like I got closer to 16 oz of liquid instead of 24 oz. The vanilla latte looked pretty because you could see the milk and vanilla floating in the drink, but the taste was just mediocre. It wasn't strong enough for me and kind of reminded me of a Dunkin Donut latte. Maybe one more shot of espresso would have made it better. I'm not sure if I'll return because I really didn't like how much ice they put in my drink. I don't mind ice, but when I'm paying for a 24 oz drink, I should actually get 24 oz. Tried the "World Famous" Vanilla Latte... Hubby Still Makes Mine Better Stumbled upon this coffee spot right next to the delicious Lou croissants nearby, and since my husband is a huge espresso coffee lover, I decided to surprise him with a nice iced coffee drink after our pastry stop. Anytime we try a new coffee spot, we either stick to our usuals or try whatever they're most known for. Since this was very spur of the moment and I didn't get a chance to Yelp-stalk the menu beforehand, I went straight for what they were apparently famous for -- the "World Famous Vanilla Latte" with whole milk. Service was very fast, and I believe they have maybe about two outdoor tables, but no indoor seating. Definitely more of a quick grab-and-go coffee stop. We ordered the 16 oz Vanilla Latte for $7.50, and I'd give it about a 7/10. Now every coffee spot makes their lattes a little differently, and while I know lattes naturally have more milk, this one had a bit too much milk for my preference. I will say though -- the drink itself was very smooth and easy to drink overall. But "world famous"? Hmm... I wouldn't quite go that far. I've definitely had better vanilla lattes elsewhere, and honestly... I probably still prefer the way my husband makes his at home lol. This was one of those drinks where you sip it and think, "Yeah, it's decent," but not something I'd go out of my way for again or crave later. The tall guy with dark hair has the worst customer service. He never says hello or what can I get for you or ANYTHING, he just stands there every time staring at you. I've worked in customer service for 9 years and I always greet customers with a hello at the LEAST. Alfred Coffee is one of our favorites coffee spots. This is the first time we've visited this Alfred Coffee Burbank location since we weren't aware there's one at Burbank. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found parking right in front of Alfred Coffee. As usual staff was great, engaging and friendly. Alfred Coffee staff always provides excellent customer service and delicious coffee. We ordered our favorites, the World Famous Vanilla Latte Iced and Matcha Latte Iced. As always, Alfred Coffee does not disappoint. You can taste the espresso and vanilla yet it's not too sweet and oversaturated. The matcha was on point and a perfect balance with the latte. Parking is not great but we got lucky. Its all street parking so you might have to be searching but just requires a little patience. It's outside only with a small patio. Nice but the chairs are kind of wobbly. The staff taking our order was very friendly and happy to answer my questions and food allergy concern. I ordered the Chaggacino iced. Delicious! Went here because I got a $20 gift card for my birthday. I know this place can be expensive, so I didn't think I'd be able to get much, but someone posted a photo of the pastries menu, so I was able to get 4 pastries which I'm quite happy about. I got 2 pain au chocolats, a chocolate chip cookie, and an almond croissant. When I unpacked them at home, I was so happy that I literally did a little dance. I did go over by $1 and tried to pay by cash, but the cashier said they didn't take cash, so I had to pay it by card. This place is more of a kiosk, so you can read the signs with the menu outside, or do what I did and look at the signs people posted on Google Maps ahead of time, then order at the little window. Afterwards, you go around to the side to wait for your order at the pick up window. I went around 8:30 in the morning and there were already around 4 people waiting for their orders ahead of me. It's all very casual and in the short time I was there, I saw and petted 3 dogs, and had small talk with one of the dog owners. Parking here is free on the side streets and easier than its other locations, but even then I still had to park at the very end of the block and walk back to the kiosk. There are also a bunch of yellow curbs which mean drop off or pick up of passengers only, but I still saw people park there anyway. There are a few bistro tables, chairs, and umbrellas outside if you'd like to eat and drink at the spot, but for the most part, most of us picked up our orders and took them home. read more

Cute little coffee spot in Burbank. I came by around 9am on a weekday and had no problem finding a two-hour street parking spot right out front. Super easy. I ordered ahead on their app and the wait was about 15 minutes, which felt a little long for the morning but not too bad. I tried the iced sparkling americano. They don't charge extra for the sparkling version, which I think is awesome. Price is $4.50 no matter if you get a 12, 16, or 24 oz. Pretty sure it's just two shots for all sizes though, so the big ones might taste watered down. The drink itself was actually really refreshing. It has this slight sweetness but I think that's just from the sparkling water. Definitely lighter than a latte and perfect if you want something caffeinated but not heavy. There are only three small tables outside, so seating is limited, but it works if you just want to sit for a bit. It's also right by Lou The French, so next time I'm planning to grab a pastry there to go with my coffee. Overall, nothing fancy, but I'd come back. Wow these baristas work really hard!! They are always busy and I always notice all the door dashers picking up orders from here when I'm sitting having my coffee up front. My favorite barista Alyssa is the best!! The others don't fall too far behind. Like Glen, Poe, Iyah, Isabella, Indy and Alex, Josh and Mickey. You know I come here quit a lot and I've seen people getting upset when their coffee isn't fast enough for them and I just wish people would understand that they work so hard to get our coffee and food out!! Came here specifically to try the Matchaga, a matcha mushroom latte, and ordered a small hot one. I was a little disappointed right away because the color wasn't very vibrant, especially since they mention using ceremonial grade matcha. Flavor wise, it leaned much more toward the mushroom than the matcha, and while it wasn't sweet (which I usually don't mind), the balance just didn't work for me. On the positive side, the shop itself is really cute and there wasn't much of a wait at all. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but it's not a drink I'd come back for. read more

I placed an online order ahead of time and had to wait 10 minutes or so for my order to be ready. They should provide better customer service for the prices they charge. Consistency seems to be the biggest issue across Alfred coffee. My very first visit wasn't the best so a manager/owner invited me to return and I had a great second visit. Literally went from 1 to 5 stars. Today I tried another new location, this one, and we're back down to 1 star. I ordered the 24 oz iced vanilla latte, with almond milk and asking for light ice I was given my drink with regular milk. The baristas were kind enough to remake it with almond. Fine no big issue for me since I'm not allergic or anything, but I still had to pay extra. I didn't pay attention to the ice in the first drink but my "new" drink was more than half ice. When I asked for light ice. Picture attached to the review. My very first visit I couldn't taste any vanilla until the end because, according to the manager, the baristas don't mix in or shake the drinks so we have to. Again, not a big deal for me. But when I kept stirring and shaking and mixing my drink this time - no vanilla. Nothing. I shared the drink with my parents, so two additional people, and neither of them could taste any vanilla either. I think 2/3 failed Alfred visits is a sign to stay away. read more
