The service department here sucks. I brought my car here to Nieves expecting my car to be fixed! My car was leaking oil from the engine and they "fixed" it by putting silicone on it! Who does that?! My car was under warranty with a deductible so you would think they would replace what was wrong with it since it was covered! Plus it took them three days to do just that! I kept calling and calling for an update but nothing! Ended up going to a family mechanic where they told me this is how they "fixed" it. And I brought it here twice before for the same problem but I knew the third time was no coincidence! I should sue for them ruining my car even more!!! All they had to do was replace a cover that my warranty covered!! read more

I had some warranty work done on my vehicle, they took care of my vehicle needs and got my vehicle diagnosed and repaired (from what I can tell so far). My only cons were, I felt I had to chase and bug my service rep for updates, it took a bit longer than I expected and it looked like they washed my vehicle but did not vacuum. They took seats apart so it made a mess. I was disappointed that after 8 days of being at the dealer my vehicle wasn't returned cleaned. read more

They only get 2 stars because I love my car and Louis is a good guy. We have bought 2 cars from here, smooth transactions both times. The negative comes after they sell you a car. The service department is absolutely horrible. Terrible. Firstly, there's no "service" section. I pull up to the side of the building where it is supposed to be, wait for about 15 mins, no help. So I decide to start looking in the 6 offices that are outside. No one around. I go inside to the cashier bc at this point I'm confused as what I'm supposed to do. She tells me to go outside and check the offices again. I literally say outside waiting to see someone for about 40 mins. And I had an appointment! That was just 40 mins to be put in the computer! I was not very happy with the service at Alexander Cadillac. I bought a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The vehicle was in good shape. My disappointment came upon delivery of the vehicle. When I test drove the vehicle it had two keys. When they delivered the vehicle to me it had only one key. When I questioned this I was told they gave the key to the service department and they misplaced it. The sales man told me they would locate it and get it to me. Then I was informed the key was lost and at my cost I had to purchase a replacement key which cost a few hundred dollars. I had to argue for weeks for them to replace the key at their cost. This turned very ugly and left a very bad impression on me. This is the reason for me leaving this unfavorable review. read more

One thing I will say...they are very nice and will do anything to sell you a car, BUT the minute you sign on the dotted line they turn the other cheek to anything you need. I just bought my 4th car from Alexander, (formally Bunnin), in Oxnard last week for my 20 yr old, youngest daughter. 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT. Why do I keep coming back to Alexander? The salespersons are number 1!! and the Service department is #A1+!! When you walk on the lot, someone always greets you, asks if they can help you, genuinely want to work with you to get a deal that makes YOU happy, and you feel good when you leave. But after that, when there is a issue or that funny light comes on....and you get to the Service Dept. they greet you by name, they make you comfortable taking your info and sometimes they are able to get it back right away and have the problem assessed, which eases your mind. I have worked with several in service dept, but JR comes to my mind right away, as I guess I usually work with him, he is wonderful! what an asset to the company! I will be in the Market for a new CTS very soon and there is no where else I would go, but Alexander!! You will not be sorry, you will be pleased you read this review! Bought my GMC Canyon there at the end of the year, we finished up when it was dark so when they brought the truck around we noticed some scratches on the door and made them put it on the due bill. The next day in the light I noticed it had bad water spots and tried to have it buffed out which made it worse. Alexander GMC kept calling us to bring it in for repair and when I finally got the time we took it to them. They said the scratches were on the due bill but they would have to get approval for the water spots. The service writer called us back and said everything was approved and they would need the truck a few more days so they could completely buff and polish the paint. When I picked up the truck it looked brand new, perfect. I couldn't be happier. I will surely buy another vehicle from them. read more

I was not greeted by anyone for quite sometime, and when I was, the person that I had was very rude. I was looking to buy a new Cadillac and made a comment on my financial status because of the car I was driving, did not take me seriously, made me felt uncomfortable. I rarely write reviews, and I don't believe anyone likes buying car, but it you are on the market for some of thinest SUVs on the market (believe me, I test drove all of them) you want to spend some time at Alexnder Buick/GMC - and perhaps you'll walk away with one. I cannot speak to the whole crew there, but the gentleman who helped me, Carlos, is as good as it gets. He was thoughtul, undertanding, transparent and he had a real "can do" attitude which I appreciated. He was charming, but also very numbers oriented - explaining the things we would consider wanting and those that we would not ("undercoating?" no one knows what that is. He was immensely personable and toed the line between understanding he has to make numbers for his boss and that he knew I was a hard-ass in where I wanted my numbers to be. In not too long of a time we found a fair compromise and I drove away with a new SUV -- far better than any of the other ones I test drove earlier at other dealerships. Carlos was there every step of the way and worked with me to find a price where I didn't feel like I was being ripped off and his powers that be didn't feel like they were short-changed. Fantastic used vehicle buying experience! I initially emailed their internet department before going in (since they are over an hour away from me) when I inquired about a 2012 Toyota Sienna on their lot. I was put in contact with Steve, who was a pleasure to deal with. He was friendly, patient and answered all of my questions. He even sent me additional pictures of the vehicle I requested. I let him knew the budget I was working in and he indicated they could work with my numbers. So we drove 100 plus miles to out to the dealership later that evening. We got there around 8:30 p.m. (they close at 9 p.m.) There was no rushed feeling though. Steve was very thorough in showing us the car and taking a test drive. We went back inside to talk numbers - and sure enough they came back right where I needed to be! They sent us on over to finance to deal with Eli and the paperwork. I usually hate this part of the car buying experience. But Eli was kind, funny and quick with his job, even though it was a Friday night and it was getting late. This was definitely one of the easiest and most pleasant car buying experiences I have ever had. I would not hesitate to make the drive to their dealership again. This past weekend I bought a 2014 Buick Verano from Alexander Buick. I had not purchased a new car in 14 years. My husband is currently deployed overseas and we needed a car asap. I went in by myself, a little bit hesitant as auto dealers have a reputation for being pushy and the car buying experience can be stressful. I did some viewing online of Alexander Buick GMC Cadillac of Oxnard's inventory, and emailed for an appt. I went in and met with Bill Canavan, the Internet Sales Manager. He was nothing but pleasant to work with. I told him my budget, and what I was looking for. He knew exactly what to show me, didn't try to steer me towards higher priced vehicles. This dealership has many beautiful cars out of my price range and when I drove up I wondered if I should have started at some of the lower cost (and lower quality) auto dealerships. Bill however helped me find me something within my budget, with the options that were important to me, and skipping ones I didn't need. Everyone at Alexander Buick was totally sensitive to my budget limitations, and worked extra hard to find me something amazing I could afford, then to get me financing that blew my original financing out of the water, is just so awesome.
