I lost my key fob transmitter and needed a replacement. I called in the day before to schedule a service appointment the next morning. I had all the information on pricing and went in yesterday morning to a very busy service department. I was introduced to Gilbert and handed him an older key fob I had that needed reprogramming. At first Gilbert and his service technician said transmitter was not working but I insisted it was a perfectly good transmitter that I had misplaced years before. I was told I'd need a new one but that it wasn't in stock until the next day. I was worried and disappointed because I needed to work my evening shift last night. Gilbert said he'd do his best to get my transmitter ASAP and he DELIVERED. I was told 3pm-4pm I got it back by 2pm! So impressed with the commitment and the extra effort to get my older transmitter ALSO working and programmed as well! So while it was not fun spending $$$ on a piece of plastic and mini mother board chips, the dealership is CLEAN, OPEN SPACED and very structured as well as somewhat friendly. The service advisors are busy folk so they can be short and they the point but as long as they remain professional and take pride in providing excellent service I'm going to support their business and possibly get my next GM or otherwise car model here... Wasted my day driving to Oxnard for trade-in appraisal on my vehicle and to purchase a used car. Julian and the "manager" gave us a horrible service. Never going back again. First of all Julian wanted to run my credit without giving the value of the trade-in. After they lowballed on the trade-in offer, I asked to see the "manager", Julian said that the manager doesn't talk to customer. What kind of manager won't talk to its customers. He accused my car of having excessive damages that are not true without even looking at the car. They didn't treat us seriously from the second we got there. I've leased a GMC Yukon from this dealership about three years ago. Since, the 3 years lease term was approaching, decided to explore my options. Checked the dealership's website and couple of Cadillac Escalade caught my eyes! Started my search and decided to call the dealership and talk with Ulises Mendoza (Internet Sales Manager, who helped me with leasing my Yukon before). He was very helpful to get the information I needed, took pictures of the cars,.... Few days later, decided to go for a test drive and absolutely loved the car!! However, still contemplating buying out my Yukon at it's residual value or this new and shinny Escalade? Ulisis and Donnie (Donavan Kemp, General Sales Manager) were able to work out the number so well, that I could not resist anymore! Did I mentioned, through out the process, I found them friendly, willing to close the deal while being upfront and honest!! I feel not only they give me a great car at a great price, but also provided an excellent service as well. BTW, I had same experience with Nieves Soriano (GMC service advisor) over past 3 years too. I found him very knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. I am local, but looking at other reviewers location, it seems people are coming from all over Southern California area, and there must have been a reason for traveling couple of hundred miles and passing few other dealerships! Waiting for service on my Cadillac I noticed that 4 of the 5 entry doors in to the showroom and customer lounge areas were locked. Finally found one open and went in to sit on a comfortable padded chair as it was still chilly in the morning hours. No one was around and for the first 30 min. I sat there in seclusion...then I have one of the dealer employees come by and ask why was I there? I said I was waiting for my car to be serviced...and the. He went away. About 20 min later (and I have not seen any other people during this period of time) I have another person come out who basically kicked me out of the waiting area lobby stating it was closed...due to Covid. Would have been prudent for management at Alexander to put signage up on all their entry doors or advise customers waiting for service that their lobby waiting lounge was closed...NO WHERE was there any signage stating that? Plenty of signs demanding a mask be worn...but nothing about the inside of the building being closed for customers waiting for their cars to be serviced. Having already Wen a victim of Covid in July I appreciate their concern...but IMO they need to do a better job communicating. read more

We got close in price with a WRITTEN email confirming $890 a month! I still wanted to be a little less (850). After speaking with Donavan ( sales manager) and Julian they wanted me to bring my trade in to inspect again. I drove an hour to get to the dealership with my baby. Then it got crazy. Donavan never even said hello. He looked at the trade and then had the salesman come out and tell me the best they could do was $1130!!! What!? How did we get to $1130 from $890 which they sent in writing!! What crooks. Waisted my time. Three hours including the drive with a baby. First let me preface my review by saying the purchase I was intending to make here at AleXander would have been my third (3rd ) Cadillac. Prior to them buying out Bunnin when I bought my 96 Deville. For 26 years of being loyal and return customer. No more!I wish I could make this rating a negative 1! I traveled 160 miles to do business with them which always made my local dealer puzzled why, but I'm loyal like that. I was ready to move out of my CTS to the XT5. I had lined up my appt with Luis who was polite, and we met up first thing in the morning after Arriving the night before. I drove the car an ready to begin negotiating, which if you are a smart consumer you should be entitled to do this, especially when it Comes to buying a car. I have bought all my cars and always felt like it was a fair deal both for Dealership and myself. This time it was not the case. The sticker price $36874. Luis said that was firm. Ok but there's got to be room. He came back with the reduced $874. So I had already did my home work and found several other cars with less mileage and price so giving them a chance to meet me in the middle . First, Luis was quick to argue it wasn't the same car I was showing him , but he had the staff run the vin to verify, which I appreciated and confirmed it was in fact the same car. Shortly after the staff found out that car had been in an accident . Ok , no problem so maybe that wasn't a good comparison, but I had 3 others to show they had a little better price, less mileage and again they were certified preowned and Im still giving them a chance and wanting to buy the car there, we all would walk away happy, so where can you meet me and if you are only going to discount $874 . Suddenly I'm told that that deal is no longer an " it's back to the original price, no longer the measly discount was on the table" WHO DOES THAT?? no professional sales organization I've ever dealt with in my 40 years in sales and customer service! the vibe changed an I'm being told it wasn't him making this call he was just the messenger, but the sales manager Joel Duarte was the shot caller an he didn't even have the courtesy to show his face and tell me himself . Nothing more to do but walk out. I left an headed south, to another Cadillac dealer in Thousand Oaks when got a call from Casa de Cadillac who heard I was looking had the same but less price and mileage, an sent me driving directions which I went straight to Sherman oaks. I did get a call shortly after I left from Luis, who was apologetic and said the deal was back on the table, but too much damage had been done by the horrible treatment an the amount of discount was peanuts compared to how we left it. It had to be a lot better for me to turn back around an step foot back on the lot. I bought the same car, year make model luxury package as I was looking at for $36,000 AND this car had only 13000 miles versus the 23000 at Alexander . You not only dId me a favor but also showed you no longer care to keep loyal customers. I've referred my family and friends to you all who bought cars, but no more! Reading others how they pull deals an change prices just confirmed this was no longer the dealership I had been loyal too for their service and willingness to get you your best deal. I Will never step foot on your lot or refer anyone ever again. My business will continue at Casa de Cadillac where the family owned business puts customers first an truly has the best deals. bottom line is there's always another dealership that Will gladly take your business an do right by you. The customer service here is sh**! They took weeks to "fix" an issue with an Escalade we purchased only days prior. They gave us a small loaner suv, for a family of 8. Get the Escalade back to find out it's not fixed because they are still waiting on a part. But the Escalade is drive able. Take the Escalade back a few weeks later when the part is in and now it needs a smog too since they didn't do that before they sold it and they can't process our paperwork till that's done. The lady working gives another loaner and states "not to dirty it like we did the last car because that car we returned was really dirty and they charge to clean loaner cars returned like that". Sorry lady, you had our car for 3-4 weeks and it still didn't get fixed. Maybe I'll keep my nasty little dirty kids out of your luxury loaner cars that you graciously loan out to peasants like us.
