WARNING: Prices are not properly listed, customer service is poor, and the dealership is not transparent. I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership when shopping for a 2022 Toyota Prius XLE. We visited on Easter Sunday, and the place was completely empty, no other customers in sight, so we expected attentive service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. A salesperson named Chris assisted us and brought us to the other side of the lot to view the Prius listed online for $22,890. Right away, we noticed several issues that were not disclosed anywhere: the car had mismatched front tires, two missing hook caps in the front, and a broken Toyota logo. None of these concerns were mentioned on the Carfax or listing. When we asked Chris about these problems, he repeatedly brushed us off by saying the car was being sold "as is." When we tried to get more details, he responded with a snarky comment: "I don't know, you want me to call the previous owners and find out?" That's completely unprofessional. if you're selling a car, you should at least be informed or willing to help your customers. During the test drive, Chris was unhelpful and seemed annoyed by our questions. He didn't explain any of the vehicle's features, including the different drive modes, which is something a buyer should absolutely be shown. The biggest issue came when discussing the out-the-door price. The car jumped from $22,890 to over $28,000. While I understand taxes and fees, they added over $2,000 for a so-called "color protection" and included charges for a GPS system that was apparently installed by the previous owner. Interestingly, Chris had no problem explaining those add-ons when it came to increasing the price. To make things worse, shortly after we returned from our test drive, they had another customer test driving the same car. Then as we were leaving the dealership, the Prius had suddenly been moved and was parked just two spots away from my car. no longer on the other side of the lot where it originally was. The timing felt very intentional and came across as a pressure tactic to create urgency. Overall, this experience felt misleading and frustrating. Pricing is not transparent, customer service is rude, and there is no willingness to negotiate. The entire situation gave off desperate sales tactics rather than honest business practices. It's been over a week since this incident and the car is still available. They keep calling me!!. Cynthia please don't bother calling me asking me if I'm still interested in the car. I suggest you focus on training Chris on a better sales approach instead. I have found another amazing Prius for a way lower price and a way nicer sales associate. read more

For starters, I am a qualified upper tier 775 -800 credit buyer with quarter million base income. This is far from a flex, just wanted to head off any thoughts that this review was based on some denial of approval or me not being qualified. Let's begin with rude sales people that from the first time you arrive actually say. "Are you buying a car today, because if not I need to move on to others". This was following a 5 minute test drive. They add a bunch of fees to car above the asking price and refuse to sell car without these added garbage fees. Gino should be avoided. When asked about the car and specifics, I was told he had no clue about the car. Then when pressed returned to say no one at dealership knows anything about cars options and balance of manufacturers warranty. That I just needed to return to dealership and figure it out. Every interaction was pressure to move forward even when I agreed to buy the car I was pressured. Told non truths as if I after 50 years of life had never bought a car. I finally decided after they refused to remove the added scam fees for what they stated was essentially a wax for near 800 bucks that if buying a car from them was this difficult, can you imagine how they will be in seeking a resolution to a problem? So we had a deal but for the scam fees. They threw away a deal over the scam fees. I also was told to call my bank and provide him with payoff. Because his finance guys were going to demand this info which tells me the issue here is systemic. Never once did I feel treated with the respect or dignity befitting a major purchase. Dealership does not want to work for business but they can make demands. I have purchased a lot of vehicles including higher six digit cars down to purchasing fleet for my companies and cars for my kids and never have I had such a poor experience. I bought two new Honda cars for kids over 3 year intervals and was treated terrific. This is just a bad dealership. I would drive to the next nearest option. Pay attention here or proceed at your peril. Due to the amount of my time that was wasted I would rate DCH Honda of Oxnard a zero rating, undeserving of the one rating I will be forced to give. read more

Extremely disappointing experience at DCH Honda of Oxnard. I scheduled an appointment after receiving an online offer for my vehicle and was also seriously considering purchasing a new Honda Passport. Unfortunately, the entire experience felt like a complete waste of time. Masood Zamani never even came out to introduce himself or properly evaluate my vehicle. Instead, he walked out of the office and yelled across the sales floor from the doorway, "Internet price is coming at $28,000," without even inspecting the car. The interaction lasted maybe 20 seconds total. He made absolutely no effort to engage, inspect the vehicle, or provide any level of professionalism or customer service. What made it even more embarrassing was the reaction from the employees nearby. Even they appeared shocked by how the situation was handled. If the dealership had no intention of actually evaluating my vehicle, then why ask me to bring it in? The entire experience came across as inconsiderate, unprofessional, and reflective of very poor business practices. Honestly, after this interaction, it's no surprise they currently hold a D- rating with the Better Business Bureau. Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing the new Honda Passport from DCH Honda of Oxnard, and I will absolutely be sharing my experience with friends and family. I will start by saying this has to be one of the worst experiences yet. I strongly recommend you find another Honda to do business with, and if you must do business here, stay away from Cynthia Sosa!! I arrived at the dealer on Saturday, I drove from the San Fernando Valley over here. We went in with the idea of checking out the vehicle, talking some numbers and see if we would get offered a deal we can't refuse. Cynthia Sosa was the person we had the unfortunate luck to meet. Everything started normal, she greeted us, asked what brought us here and even thanked us for making the drive. We went in looking for a very specific vehicle, the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring in red. Very few dealers had this vehicle in stock it was very hard to find one, so when we saw this dealer had it we decided to make the trip. When we told Cynthia about the specific vehicle we were in for, she went looking for it. She told us the vehicle was in stock but it was in the backlot, but she found a vehicle identical to the one we came for, only difference is that it was a different color. My wife and I thought that was a little weird because after all, we came to see that specific vehicle. My wife and I brushed it off thinking as long as we get to drive one that's the same model/trim what difference does the color make, it will still drive the same. The whole time she was very talkative and chatty which we liked, made us feel comfortable, tho that didn't last long. We went on a test drive, my wife fell in love with the way it drove. We headed back into the dealer to talk numbers. She immediately went into taking our information before we started talking numbers. This is where everything went completely downhill. In the couple of car deals I have done, I have always asked if we could talk numbers without having our credit ran, as we were still keeping our options open with two other dealers we had found that had the exact vehicle we were looking for. In the dozen of dealers I've been to it's NEVER been a problem. To the experienced buyer, we know to always shop around and not expect to buy from the first dealer you visit, unless of course the deal is just that good. Cynthia Sosa completely flipped like a switch. Her attitude went from 0 - 100 so quick it's insane. She hit us with, "Then why did you drive all the way here, you could have done all that online..." once again with an insane amount of attitude, like she was annoyed/mad that we even asked that. Yes I know and I get deals can be done thru the phone, but who buys a vehicle without test driving it first? She immediately shot us down saying "then you aren't ready to buy a vehicle, come back when you are ready to buy, and then we will talk." Umm yeah no, there will be no next time, we will definitely NOT be coming back, especially NOT with Cynthia. She claims she just likes to be direct with everyone. I understand this as I also work in the dealership business, but there is a right way and a wrong way, and she was DEFINITELY doing it the wrong way. I should add my wife and I are young, mid 20's. Reason I add this is because of just the plain disrespect of the way she was talking to us. I guarantee if it were to have been an older couple she would not be speaking the way she spoke to us. To wrap this up she pretty much kicked us out by saying that whole "come back where you're ready to make a deal." On a happier note, we went to a different Honda dealer, where it was the total opposite of this dealer! We ended up getting our CR-V from the different Honda at an incredible deal, with a salesmen who didn't mind and actually praised us for thinking about talking numbers before our credit was ran. I would love to include the dealers name we went to along with the salesman, but I don't want Honda of Oxnard to have an excuse to potentially take this down. Atrocious customer service. Brought my car in for issues regarding AC warranty extension/fuel pump recalls. First time around, Aquino was my service provider who took my car in and ran diagnosis. Concluded that it was within warranty parameters and repairs were underway along with the fuel pump recall. I get another call a couple of hours later claiming I'd be responsible for costs on the diagnostic dye and clips to which I questioned should be apart of the warranty service? He said well yeah but these costs are the responsibility of the customer. This surprised me because again it is apart of the faulty AC system (that was recalled). Anyway, ultimately after long disagreements back and forth the dealer "took care of it". I still thanked them even though I felt this wasn't a favor to me but an included service...second time, I take my car back at 10AM today to check the fuel pump because my car is now experiencing acceleration issues (hesitant acceleration especially when wheel is turned). I have not received a call communicating ANYTHING about my car. I have to call and chase my service provider Jeff Hall for a call back where people are telling me different things. Someone said my car wasn't processed yet then FINALLY receive a call back at 2:45pm to tell me my car needs to be held till Friday morning for further inspection since it was not the fuel pump and other things but they'd need $200+ to inspect (which is fine it's a business) but felt comfortable picking my car up instead and heading elsewhere. Jeff was incredibly rude after I tell him my frustrations with lack of communications and hangs up on me after telling me good luck! This place is so suspect/scammy. No communication, and when I call Michael the service manager to explain my frustrations and how I had no uber service back since I took one there to get home and Jeff hung up on me he reiterates everything Jeff just said and offered no uber back because they're for paying customers only. What a joke lol this place is awful and I will never be back and I urge you to go to other trustworthy places with better customer service. read more

Sales outstanding Finance beware you will get a runaround Ellie Yazbek was terrible used the wrong address which made everything upside down it took me 2 days to get my financing and when we left California to come back to Washington he still had not secured it. The plates and registration were damaged and discarded by ups in Portland Oregon and the dealership attitude was whatever. Great overall experience with Sales team. They were knowledgeable, patient, and no-haggling. I may have come across as guarded because I've been bitten by nastier car salespeople, but this team with Christian and Francisco really made me feel comfortable and earned my respect. Unfortunately, the 2025 Honda Prologue Touring I purchased did not hold an electric charge, and within a few days of ownership, I could not get the battery to charge more than about 1-2% for every HOUR on the charging machine!! The sales staff were on my side, and tried to help me find a solution, but Jeff Hall in the Service side did not find any urgency in helping me out. He told me they needed to take the car in for tests and asked me if I preferred to wait in the shop, or take an Uber home and they'll call me when they're ready. I asked for a time estimate, and he said between 2:00 and 3:00 PM. I elected to go home (it was about 11:00 AM on a Friday and I had some work to finish up.) 2PM passed. 3PM passed. 4 PM passed. I was giving Jeff the benefit of the doubt. I checked the paperwork he asked me to sign and sure enough it said "3 PM." No phone call, no message, no text. So I called him up. Jeff didn't remember me, which is sad because I was introduced to him specifically because he's the "product specialist" of EVs, and I thought our initial conversation was definitely unusual. I told him, "I'm the one who said I'm putting money on a DEFECTIVE BATTERY. You asked me to wait until about 3:00 and I'm checking in for a status update." Jeff meddled with some papers and gave me some gibberish I had to write down and go look up later, because it wasn't making any sense to me. Jeff then told me he needed to keep the car over the weekend! I reminded him IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR! I've had it less than a week. Nonetheless, he assured me that he'd know more on Monday. When I asked if he had a loaner car for the weekend, he didn't even apologize, and shared a story about how some dunce-hat customer before me asked the same question, to which he gave the same answer. I was furious, but I didn't think I had any options. Jeff told me that someone would be returning a loaner car tomorrow (Saturday) and asked me to call him back in the mid-day around 10 or 11. Well I waited until noon to see if Jeff had any decency to call me up and offer to come bring me to the dealership for the loaner. He did not. So I showed up and found the general manager of Sales who did some scouting for me. He discovered that my Prologue had not even been LOOKED AT yet, and he gave me a reservation for Enterprise for the weekend. Once again, Sales team really knows some things about Service, but the Service team (or at least Jeff Hall) has a lot to learn about Customer Service. *** AFTER ALL THIS *** Jeff learned that my car had a several software updates that were needed, and this made the charging routines work again. Jeff left me voicemail messages, and invited me to call back with any questions. He re-charged the car for me. (It charged in record time!) and instructed me to come pick it up anytime Tuesday morning. Mike Powell, the Sales Manager, met me out front and took care of everything without me having to wait, even offered to return the rental car for me. I added a star to this rating, as they definitely improved their service mindset, and I'm grateful to have a car that charges normally now. read more

When I asked him why a vehicle with 61k miles, and cloth seats was the same price as a nicer vehicle with no scratches, leather seats and only 11k miles he said I'm done with you and walked away. I said excuse me I'm asking you a question. I already knew the answer but wanted him to respond. His reaction was proof these people are low life snakes and bottom feeders. They lie and withhold information. I said I'm looking for a vehicle don't you care what I think? He says no I don't need you. I'm done and he walked back inside. I was asking the question about the cars because the reason was the much lower mileage and leather seats was sold without properly disclosing the carfax information. The 3 year old vehicle was in a severe accident and the buyer was rushed through the information and signed. The buyer was in the process of buying another car when told the car in question was "already" sold and was directed to the accident vehicle. After hours of sitting and waiting the buyer was confused and thought the carfax report was ok. I know Mo the sales manager plays these games and he knew about the carfax and the accident and neglected to properly notify buyer. Yes the buyer signed but Mo and his sales team including George were using sleezy sales gimmicks. The sales manager telling a potential buyer "we don't need you" is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. When we spoke to the service manager he too found Mos behavior unacceptable. Do not buy your car from these people. George told me he looked at car fax then said he never saw carfax. Mo says the protection guard is standard on all vehicles but they charge you for it. And lastly. The ELO GPS That they charge $1500 for and never worked properly was installed incorrectly according to Eddie. Now how does one trust any of these people? How to know it was installed incorrectly or he was just saying that to try to get customer to change mind and have it installed again. read more

I recently bought a new car from DCH Honda in Oxnard. It was the first new car I've ever bought. I originally came in looking at a used 2022 Honda civic. Our salesman Stephen was very helpful. He was not a pushy car salesman at all, and listened and understood what I was looking for; and how he could help me. I was going through the process of the used car, when another customer was going to buy it. Inevitably I was upset and bummed. The manager Doug came by and helped me out with a brand new(4 miles) Honda civic sport. With financing it was cheaper for me to get a new car than a used car.
