I had a very disappointing experience with Castro Motors. They advertise that they can help finance just about anyone, including customers with credit challenges, repossessions, and other difficult financial situations. I specifically reached out to them and provided all of this information about my situation BEFORE making the trip to the dealership. The gentleman I spoke with encouraged me to come in, so I made the drive, looked at the vehicle I was interested in, and went through the financing process. They ran my credit, only to ultimately tell me they couldn't help me. There was no real solution offered or effort made to find another option. What was especially frustrating is that they already knew my circumstances before I arrived. If the dealership wasn't going to be able to work with my situation, I feel that should have been determined before having me come in, run my credit, and spend my time looking at a vehicle. The entire experience felt like a typical car salesman interaction -- get the customer through the door, show them the vehicle, run their credit, and then have no actual solution. I would not recommend Castro Motors to anyone, especially someone specifically seeking a dealership that claims to work with challenging credit situations. This experience left me feeling like their advertising did not match the actual service I received, and it has definitely made me more hesitant to trust small independent used-car dealerships. read more

Castro Motors is not a good dealership to buy a car from. My experience was horrible and that's putting it lightly. First off, when I bought the car, they told me that I could use the my job is my credit option because I do not have a co signer, which is obviously what was needed considering my credit was less than appealing. They took forever processing my loan the tried to say that it was my fault the the loan wasn't processed on time due to address verification issues and lack of having a co signer. I had my friend and her landlord write a letter stating that I lived at this address which wasn't a lie. So the following day I go to pick up my car, and I call or text them to inform them that I am on my way to come get my car and the proceed to tell me that I cannot have the car back because the finance company would like for me to have a co signer, whe I've already told them I don't and won't have anyone available to consign for me. Not only did they take my car, but they never gave me my down payment back...so now I'm carless and I don't have my money from them...Now I'm dealing with an attorney to get my money back as well as reimbursement for the unnecessary Ubers I had to pay for to get back and forth to work and the hotels I had to unnecessarily pay for because I was living in my car. They didn't like that and I think that may be partly why they took the car away. So now I'm pretty much paying for someone else to drive my car. I was two car payments in when this started as well and I'd only had the car for two months. This is unjust and unfair treatment and I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!! They will rip you off just to get a buck...I will not be back and I will ensure that I get every penny of my mine back including my reimbursement...#NEVERAGAIN!! read more

To say that this is a terrible and illegitimate business is an understatement. I decided to purchase a 2019 Lexus is250 from Castro Motors. At first, they denied me the option for a "cooling off period" (48 hours to decide if you want to bring the car back). Denying access to a cooling off period is illegal in the state of California, so eventually they let me opt in. The car was sold to me at $19,000. I later found out that Kelly Blue Book values this car at around $6,000 because of all of the undisclosed damages. As soon as I took the car home it started making terrible noises and shaking. I took it to the dealership and it turned out the car was actually salvaged (Castro Motors did not disclose this and neither did the carfax repot they gave me) and needed at least $7000 in repairs. Hector Castro is one of the most disrespectful people I have met in my entire life, and he constantly tried to make me feel incompetent. He created a very hostile business atmosphere when I asked for my money back, saying that it was MY fault that they tried to scam me out of $19,000 because I should have done more research- even though they assured me I was getting a great deal and had nothing to worry about. Hector insinuated I was trying to scam him, saying, "People use the cool off period as a way to have a free rental car for two days." I had been saving my hard earned money for months to buy a car and found this extremely insulting and offensive. It took 10 days for me to have access to the money they owed me. If you work hard for your money, do NOT trust these people. I am lucky to have gotten my money back, but I'm sure some people did not have the same luck. These people are actually evil who profit off of scamming and stealing from customers. Do not give them your money. read more

Do your research before you even think about dealing with this overpriced lot. They mark up their vehicles way above Kelly Blue Book. They have a 2015 Jeep Renegde and are asking $15k when Kelly Blue Book Value is $10k. They are looking to rip people off be aware. Like I said do you research and use Kelly Blue Book to look up the value of the car you are looking to purchase. Don't let dealer's like these chumps take advantage of you and your hard earned money. They have no conscience and will have no problem sleeping at night after ripping you off. Just read their reviews. I give 0 stars . I bought a (2018 Hyundai Sonata) from here yesterday 11/29/23 with Joselyn (Perla helped out with paperwork) and within 1 hour with this car it was smelling like burnt . They also sold me this car with a ripped drivers side seat belt and they covered it with a layer of black rubber on top so it wouldn't be visible . What dealership sells you a car with a ripped drivers seat belt !? Very dangerous for anyone driving ! Also , this car had a flat tire and they said they will "fix it" and the problem is still there ! All their cars are overpriced and beat up / unsafe to drive cars.Best believe if you ever buy a car from here you will want/have to return it !! And after signing all documents before you walk out they won't let you leave unless you add a positive review on google . I would give no stars ive had such a horrible experience..... not once but twice bought a 2006 jeep about 4 years ago 12k, however their were missing interior parts they kept saying they were going to fix it never did. It also had motor problems and transmission problems per my mechanic they did not give a shiz. I decided to give them a second chance not a month has passed that I've bought a 2015 chevy cruze I gave more than 1k down-payment they told me I had warranty so I called them and they basically said I was screwed that I had to look for someone to fix it. They knew both cars had issues and yet they still sold me a faulty car. These people are crooks they don't care about their customers they only care about your money. So please please before you make a purchase here take a mechanic or do your research, but if you love your family and friends do not recommend this place do not let them waste their hard earned money in this place. read more
