Donny (manager) & Joe were absolutely GREAT ! I had a terrain that I had to ground early due to purchasing a New Home, 2 months to be exact. I went to turn it in on May 27th and was prepared to pay 2 months that I still owed, plus any other fees that were due. I talked to Joe and explained that I needed to show that this was paid and that I was debt free (when it came to car payments). He told me that they could not let me pay it there in the Oxnard office. That this would take possibly 30 days for me to get a bill. Which of course was not the IDEAL answer for me. I left the dealership and got a call from Donny the manager (after Joe told him my story) . He not only waived the fee but PAID the last 2 payments for me (which saved me money) so that my record would show debt free and I could proceed on the paperwork for my new home!!! WOW !! A few years ago, I brought my GMC Sierra Denali HD in for warranty service on several occasions. My biggest complaint was a rattle from the rear seat area. The service department repeatedly told me there was nothing wrong. I took the truck to an independent shop and he showed me proof that a couple of the rear seat mounting nuts were never tightened at the factory. So, Alexander never looked at the rear seat mounting bolts on 3 different occasions. There were other warranty gripes that were blown off. I didn't mention this for several years because I usually don't complain about this kind of thing in reviews. But felt I should update the public after my experience this afternoon. I stopped by to look at new 2021 GMC HD trucks. I decided to go into the showroom and use the restroom before meeting a sales person. A man came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I said no, that I was using the restroom first. He proceeded to rudely insist that I leave. I said I would like to speak with the manager and he said he was the manager! I was wearing a mask and there was no sign outside saying I needed an escort into the building, only to wear a mask. He wouldn't even let me open the door myself, to leave. I understand the tension everyone is under during Covid. But I felt simmering hostility from this guy beyond the virus, that is inexcusable in a GM dealership. I recommend shoppers look elsewhere for a GMC/Cadillac in the Oxnard/Ventura area. read more

I purchased a new ATS, I traded in my 2008 Tahoe LTZ. The staff was some what helpful but needed some product knowledge on the new models. I understand this is a new model and this can be a chalange. A few mistakes where made and I started to feel the deal was going to end bad. The service department has always taken good care of my cars but the sales department at Cadillac was really not interested in closing a deal. The Sales Manager Wayne kept trying to force a Cadillac ATS on my wife and I, but he could not get the payments low enough. When His sales guy showed me a 2013 Buick Regal I liked he kept insisting that I should lease the ATS. I took my business to Simi Valley Buick GMC and was sold the car I wanted for the price I was willing to pay. I will never buy a car from this dealer. read more

I have a hard time trusting anyone but I know I got a great deal here. My 2003 Chevy 2500 Diesel broke down in Las Vegas. After all was said and done, Las Vegas dealership told me my motor was done and it would be $12,000 for new motor. They offered me $1000 on trade in. I had truck transported to Alexander because of Service Advisor Nieves Soriano. I have know n and trusted Nieves for over 15 years with my vehicles. When all was said and done, Alexander confirmed my motor was done. They gave me several options. One of the options was to trade in truck, which I did. The gave me $9000 on trade. $8000 more than Las Vegas. I dealt with Bill Canavan. This is the second vehicle we have purchased through him. Like others have said, there was no "pushiness" to the deal. He let me do my research and was always there for any questions. I highly recommend this dealership because of Bill Canavan and Nieves Soriano. read more

I emailed Kevin and left a voice mail on his answering machine and didn't get back to me at all. I looked back at the website and they sold the truck I wanted and the one we were dealing for. I came in for a scheduled oil change and they charged me for an oil change and tire rotation which is their combo pack. I explained to the service advisor that I didn't need my tires rotated and balanced because I get it done for free at Americas Tire. The service advisor looks at the service contract and says isn't that your signature. You signed for it. To eliminate arguing with the service advisor, I paid the balance with out military discount and ask for my car. My car was parked in the side lot which I saw sitting for over a half an hour. The service advisor gave me an excuse of not being their and didn't know what was going on with my car, however he walked right up to my car and asked someone to drive it up front. I am going straight to Americas Tire to confirm if they even did a tire rotation and balance. Ill keep you all informed of the findings. read more

He was happy, friendly, and a true professional. But most importantly he really listened and answered all of our questions. He took extra time making us feel comfortable in our new car. STAY AWAY!!!! I ought a used vehicle here and three months later I started having major problems. I called and went in to the dealership and all the employees like to do is play the blame game and pass the ball around. After a few calls and going there in person I got nowhere and nobody was able to help at all. It seems like once you buy the vehicle they don't care about the customer anymore. I was promised a loaner for a warranty issue on my car, didn't have one when I took my car in, taken to Enterprise and charged $20 a day. A 2 day job took a week and they are making me pay for the loaner car. WHAT A JOKE!!!! they also replaced a part on my car not covered by warranty without my prior approval and was charged $181 for that. I emailed them, no response had to call GM direct. No one wants to take responsibility for their mistakes and reimburse me. I will never buy anything from this dealership ever! I will drive to LA before I go local. read more

My husband and I are from California, but moved to NC about 10 years ago. So we know California and when my husband found the Honda Touring auto he was looking for but it was in Oxnard, CA, it didn't seem like such a big deal to buy a car with great mileage and have it transported here. We were dealing with Alexander Buick GMC in Oxnard, and their sales person Kevin Poole essentially lied to my husband. His credit score was 750 and he was told that Alexander GMC could get him 2.45% at first. We were putting no money down. Richard had found a loan at the NC SunTrust for 2.49% and since it was lower decided to go with Alexander's loan. Then, we decided to put $5,000 down, yet they came back with a loan rate of 3.59%. I think this is called bait and switch. Since we were already well into the deal and paperwork and such, we thought it would be a smoother transaction just going with their lender which was Ally Financial. Ally Financial is the bottom of the barrel as far as car loans go, but we didn't know that. We relied upon the dealer to find us the best deal with the best lender. Kevin Poole and their financial office knew we could get a loan from Sun Trust and yet kept pushing their lender, Ally Financial. So we get the car here and the paperwork from Alexander is incorrect. They can't even get a correct Bill of Sale to us. Richard has been down to the DMV 3 times and can't get the car registered. We've spoken with reps of Ally and they don't even know how to transmit the title to NC DMV! It is a complete shit show with both Alexander GMC and their lender Ally Financial. Now we have to unwind the deal with Ally, get another lender, and somehow try to find the title to a 2016 Honda Touring Accord. I do not recommend Alexander GMC, their sales people are using bait and switch when it comes to the financial services and steer customers to lenders with an "F" at the BBB. This is now a nightmare for us! read more

This dealership has, by far, exhibitied the worst in Dealership Customer Service I've ever experienced. I've owned scores of luxury vehicles in more than 40 years of driving, and these folks need lessons in Customer Care more than any other dealer I've ever purchased or leased from. They are eager to sell or lease you a nice new Cadillac (or other vehicle) but they may not take good care of you after the sale. I leased a Top of the Line Cadillac from them 3 years ago but the DMV registration got messed up (they paid the DMV the wrong amount at the time I leased the new car). After many, many phone calls and emails to my original sales guy to get some help, he finally (weeks later) had the DMV gal at the dealership call me back. They screwed up the original registration of the car and DMV put a hold on the annual registration renewal. I finally got my car registered after the first year's tags expired. Now that my lease is up after 3 years, I've recently called the dealership 3 times to make an appointment to return the car, and guess what?? Again, they've blown me off and have not returned any of my calls. Finally, today, I called again and got a hold of a finance manager who gave me instructions to do to the lease return. BTW, all the letters and emails asking me to "come in to do a pre-lease return inspection" is all B.S. They don't care about the car being returned because they don't do the actual return inspection (the lender sends in a third-party inspector to do that once the car is returned to the dealership)...the dealership just wants you to go in to make another deal on a new car. I'll never buy or lease another car from this dealership again. There are so many other dealerships who provide better service and better products...I don't need to do business with people who simply don't care about post-sale service. read more

I don't usually do this "yelp thing" but I have to give a "shout out" to one of your customer service people. Mr. Nieves has taken customer service in the automotive industry to a new high. Sure I can get an oil change down the street for cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Nieves checks your vehicle in, ensures all repairs are done, gets you a rental car or a ride home, keeps you informed while the job is being done, and has the vehicle washed and repaired at the time he says it will be done. He recently even made sure I had a repair done just prior to the expiration of the warranty. Like I said, I could go somewhere else but...... Alexander if you want my business (which could lead to the purchase of another vehicle) put Mr. Nieves in charge of Customer Service Training and you will have a winning team for a long time. We were fortunate enough to have Octavio as our salesman and couldn't have been happier with him. He listened to exactly what we wanted and did his absolute best to get us into a vehicle that matched everything on our "must" and "not necessary" list. We were there most of the day and we felt like we were right at home, everyone was very friendly.
