After that the waitress came over asked for drinks and appetiser she gave a great recommendations , she gave me a great idea about the kabobs dishes . After we ordered our appetiser 2 or 3 minutes the appetiser came out very quickly, the waitress came back to take our dinner order with great service and professional manner . Me and my friend just had an awesome day at the beach and were in the mood for some Mediterranean food so we hit Yelp to find a good spot and we stumbled upon Allepos Kitchen. I'm used to Greek Mediterranean food and saw this spot was Syrian influenced so decided to try it out. At first we were a little questionable about eating there because of the price but don't be turned away. When deciding for our dinner with our server Norman we were honest and said, "Is there anything that doesn't break the bank" he was real with us and notified us that most of their standard entrees are based at $20 which is understandable because looking at the menu it's all top quality food. They also have nice high end options like shrimp fresh seafood and such. Instead of trying to upsell us Norman guided us and pointed us to the Kebab sampler which goes for $30 but he said it's a large portion and it's pretty shareable. We went for this option and man were we pleased. So delicious all fresh ingredients, we were so pleased and our first Syrian Mediterranean food experience was phenomenal. I don't know if I'll ever be able to eat Greek Mediterranean food again without bringing this place up haha. They really set the bar. From the ambiance of the hookah/smoking patio playing middle eastern singers on TV to the option to order a hookah it was an entirely new take on Mediterranean. Very pleased with our decision to eat there and pay a bit more for a top quality meal. I appreciate the way Norman guided us and how he treated us during our dining experience. His service was the cherry on top of such a great meal. And to make matters even better while waiting for our food I guess they felt like they took a little long cooking out fresh meal so the other hostess Ali came out and apologized for the delay which was honestly nothing big for us because were were enjoying the smoking patio and watching beautiful Lebanese/Syrian women and singers on TV. As a courtesy they offered us a free desert to apologize for the wait and was taken back. So grateful for his first dining experience and I will be coming back. The way a business and its employees great their patrons is everything to me. This experience was the cap on such a beautiful day. We will be coming back and urge everyone to give this place a shot and not be scared by the price. It's such a great place for a date or families to enjoy Syrian inspired Mediterranean cuisine and you will not be disappointed. I've ordered from Aleppo's Kitchen many times on Uber Eats, and the food's always been pretty solid. At home, I usually have my club soda with it, so everything hits perfectly. This time I decided to stop by in person while I was charging my Tesla nearby. The food was good, and the service was friendly, but one thing completely ruined the experience no filtered water. For the life of me, I don't understand how a restaurant doesn't have filtered water, or why that wouldn't be the first thing you invest in as an establishment. I ordered a club soda, but they didn't have any kind of sparkling water no Pellegrino, no Perrier, nothing. So I settled for water... and yeah, it was definitely unfiltered. Then I asked for a Coca-Cola, hoping that would save things it came out tasting like tap water with carbonation. At that point, I couldn't even enjoy my food, and that's saying something, because the food itself was actually good. A mixed kibbeh platter to share, and a shawarma for the unadventurous lamb hating kid....this is some really good food here, people. Best to put a reservation in, as we did, since it got busy during dinner time and other parties had a wait time. We were seated right away and the staff were very friendly. There were a variety of items to choose from - I ordered the chicken shawarma ($23) under the signature dishes. It came with rice, hummus, salad, and garlic spread. The food didn't take too long to come out so that was a plus, especially since we were rushed on time. The chicken wasn't dry, the flavors were delicious, and they didn't skimp out on their portions. Wow I have been looking for a good middle eastern food place for a long time and this was one of the best my mom and I have had. The place is cute inside and happening. Everything was a 10/10 and spot on. We ordered the hummus, fattoush salad, Shish barak, and Shish Tawook-chicken. Everything tasted homemade and high quality. The hummus was creamy and the bread was fluffy. The salad was refreshing and really stood out to us and would definitely order again. As far as mains the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I have been dining at this restaurant for over 2 years now. I get food at least once a week and spend about $20 each time for my lunch. Service has always been amazing, and the staff is usually very friendly. I've even had a lunch experience where the chicken shawarma was a little dry. I shared it, and the staff was very receptive.   Well, today, I went to pick up my weekly $20 lunch bowl. I mention that my bread has been cold when I pick it up, and if it could be warmed. She made an unfriendly face and said, "Sure." She reached inside my pickup order, grabbed the bag holding the bread, walked away, reached in to take the bread out, and placed it on the warmer. I felt really anxious seeing her do this without gloves on. She placed the bread back in the bag and walked towards me, placed it inside my pickup order, and handed me my meal.   As politely as I could, I expressed, "Please don't take this personally, but I got a little freaked out by you handling my food without gloves, seeing as you are also handling the cash register. I'm sorry, but could you please get me another bread?"   She snatched the food, grabbed gloves, took the bread, walked back towards the bread warmer, and threw the bread. It landed in the food warming area where servers pick up food to serve. She did not throw it away. She did not clean the bread warmer; she just placed a new piece on it. When she brought me the "fresh" bread, I tried to be polite again and said, "I'm sorry... I don't want you to take it personally." With an unfriendly face, she turned around and started walking away, and said, "Yeah, uh-huh."   The level of unprofessionalism in these young food service workers is at an all-time high. It can make even the finest food establishments look ghetto. This was a terrible experience. Went from 5 stars to 1 star. Sometimes the service itself can be the reason a restaurant holds 5 stars, and I am all about service. You can't have good food and poor service. I hope she works on not taking everything personally. It was shockingly bland, easily the most flavorless Middle Eastern food I've ever had. It honestly feels like they're running away from the bold spices and richness that define their own culture's cuisine. Ain't no way traditional Syrian food is supposed to taste this dull. been to aleppo many times growing up and living in socal, hadn't been in a few years and they moved (i'm late to the game). i'm not sure how i feel about the new location. i liked the hidden one on brookhurst st in the heart of little arabia. it transported me overseas. this one is nice but feels very khaleeji modern. maybe i'm just a sucker for nostalgia. anyways, the kibbeh nayeh is still so delicious. 10/10 recommend. i begrudgingly shared with my family of 6 but that's all i really wanted to eat as my dinner lol. the cheese rolls were good only had a bite because i gotta watch my gluten and dairy intake. the meats on the platters slapped. and they are shareable plates in my opinion. we got apps and salad to share so those two plates were enough for the 6 of us. the ashta was good but two bites in and i was sugared out. i recommend sharing that with at least a few other people or someone who loves sugar. service was decent, we came on christmas day for dinner and it got slammed right around 6 so then our server was overwhelmed. understandably. no place to pray. my brother asked for a rug or quiet corner but they got nothing. that's another reason little arabia was better, masjid is down the street. read more

This was our first time at this new location as we had visited the old place a few years back. This new location is located in a mall like environment (which was comforting with all our belongings in our car) and wonderfully spacious. When we walked in you could smell delicious everything. We ordered for our time there and for when we left. The food was fabulous and so very tasty!!! The staff were very friendly and we met Isabel and Àmbar. Àmbar explained the dishes which helped with our choices. Isabel, was so very kind and so very helpful. So very friendly (which made us feel at home) and super attentive. It's hard to find places were the service is just as wonderful as the food. This place held us so very well and we talked about it to our friends who live near. The clean new interior is tastefully decorated with decor from the Mediterranean Levantine which includes Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Israel. And the food is the best. They were in the Little Arabia district for years and now a new nice location. Plenty of parking. The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned and something for everyone. You can do the traditional scratch cooking family dinners, build your own bowls, sandwiches/wraps, or nibble on dozens of Mezze (Small plate appetizers) Things to try for dips Muhammara, Motabal, Baba Ganoush and Tzaziki. For hot appetizers try the Fried Kibbe and Cauliflower. Dip it in the tahini sauce. But this is a rare opportunity to try something different beyond the usual Shawarma, Kebabs and Stuffed Grape which were excellent. I had the Lamb Shank Kabsa! Really nice place! I selected Aleppo because my guest is a vegetarian. Lots of options on the menu for both of us. Maybe Aleppo is Syrian but it advertises as Mediterranean. Same thing I guess. Really nice looking building. We sat inside and enjoyed the view looking out the wall of glass. My guest had their Falafel Lavash Wrap and loved it. Looked good to me too. I think Med food uses a little more yogurt than mayo, which more people should do in my opinion. Make a note of that, whoever is keeping track of such things. Wow. Truly might be the best Mediterranean food I've ever had, I got the chicken wrap and it was actually the most amazing thing I've eaten. The veggie slaw was phenomenal and the fries on the side were perfectly golden and crispy. Their tzatziki and garlic sauce are actually perfect as well. So glad I stumbled upon this gem. Came in with my family a party of 6 , we were served waters for the table. My water tasted like something I've never tasted before , it was as if it was laden with cleaning agents and wasn't properly rinsed. 2/6 of our waters tasted like this. Was assured that sometimes the water has a mineral like taste but I can assure you this was not anywhere near mineral water. I immediately had to go to the men's restroom to throw up whatever I drank because it turned my stomach upside down .following this I got light headed and had light heart palpitations.Everyone else continued to order and eat , I abstained from a meal because I refuse to eat a place that is dishonest about water contamination. I will never dine at this establishment again. I am on vacation and have worked in food establishments for 10 years , I felt cheated and lied too. read more
