Let me start by saying that as a business, I expected them to be functioning as any business would. Im so sick and tired of no one answering the damn phones. I literally call at different times and different days and no one answers the phone. It's so frustrating because I'm trying to avoid a trip there (as I don't live down the street) then end up discovering they don't have the items in stock that I wanted to buy. Online stock does not exactly reflect the inventory as i have learned that the hard way. I see no reason as to why this is the case. Lets face it: there are only two real competitors when it comes to airsoft retailers in So Cal (and arguably the entire West coast). Evike is great, but Airsoft GI is better. Size/ selection: Airsoft is a relatively new concept, that has garnered attention more or less in the past decade. As the industry grows, so do the stores. In the past 10 years, I've seen both Airsoft GI and Evike change locations, get a larger store and warehouse, and change their policies. Currently both of the So Cal locations have similar offerings when it comes to size and selection. There are a few differences, though. Airsoft GI will not sell items they do not believe in/ or if the producer no longer wants on the market. If Evike has left over inventory, they will try to get a profit, even if the industry gets mad at them for it. Airsoft GI also has better custom jobs. Custom jobs: Custom jobs are guns specially customized by technicians. This may be for improved performance, or for more of a fun factor. Airsoft GI hires more knowledgeable staff than Evike. Evike has admitted to me that they don't know a lot of basics, or they need to ask others. If you have money for a unique, specialized weapon, but you are worried about messing up your own gun via DIY disaster, than Airsoft GI is the better choice. Knowledge: I've been to Evike many times, because it is closer to my house, and they have great sales. However, all but 1 of the times I've gotten help from someone who has no idea what is going on, knows little to nothing about airsoft, and does not really care to learn. When I go to Airsoft GI, all the store front and phones people have a good base knowledge of what is going on. They help solve issues, even if it may not lead to a sale. If you have an issue with your gun, they will give you advice on how you may problem solve, regardless if they are making a sale that day. That is pretty sweet. There was only one guy at Evike who ever gave my party or I as much attention and knowledge. Service: Now, it's one thing to not be able to help a customer well because of lack of knowledge. It is worse if someone is not able to help because they do not care. When I go to Evike, there is almost always a line and a wait. The wait is usually around an hour in the evenings. Sometimes they send customers home without seeing them. Airsoft GI will stay after hours to make sure customers are served. At Evike, one worker decided to have a side conversation with another customer about a recent airsoft match, rather than helping our party. He straight out ignored us for 20 mins, even though we waited 40 mins to talk to him. He has "helped" us more than once. There are other workers who are attentive but literally do not know a single thing about the hobby. Airsoft GI may take a while at times, but at least I know they will eventually give me quality attention. Price: Evike and Airsoft GI are competitive in pricing. They always have sales and promotions which rival each other. Currently Airsoft GI has a 20% off coupon, and a promotion system for free gifts with certain purchases. If price was the big issue, I would shop around on both websites before deciding. Also, I was reading some of the other reviews, and one caught my eye. It said there are more items on the website than in stock in the walk in store. Aren't all stores like that? Even huge companies, like Walmart or Target, often have hundreds of items on their website which are not at all or some of their store locations. read more

I walked into the store seeking a PEQ battery that was sold a long time ago. The in-store employee says that they don't carry the battery I brought in. They asked me to go online and hit the "Notify Me" and "Request Item" buttons, so I did. Obviously, as a customer I go online and hit those two links thinking they should get a notification, right? Like I want to get something like this. 2 weeks go by and no email. Just subscription spam that I clearly unchecked I didn't want any. No response from Airsoft GI about my request. So, I wrote an email clearly naming what I wanted. A "D-Boy 10.8v NiMh DBAL-I Box w/ Battery" for $57.71. The email also specifies that I have clicked the "Notify Me" and "Request Item" because there was no "Buy" button. Michael G. from the Airsoft GI a Sales/Customer Service Rep ext. 121 replies back with "Have you attempted to make the purchase for the item yet through our online website?" I replied back the buy button is not showing and is replaced with an un-clickable Out of Stock button, as I specified about the "Notify Me" + "Request item" on my first email. Michael G. then replies back saying it's Out of Stock at this time. "Yes, I know it's out of stock." lol Business day is over by this time. Next day, He then recommends me a non-boxed, regular battery.. It's like he never even looked up what I wrote in the first email. Michael's replies are sort of quick, by email I guess, but that's the best I can say of his service. The whole time, he wasn't using his head to help me. This shouldn't have taken 2 days of communication. He could have saved time on the many emails by looking up what I wanted and telling me that Airsoft GI doesn't carry these or anything else that's similar anymore. Instead of saying they are out of stock at this time and leading me around aimlessly. I just didn't feel like he tried to help me with a solution. In the end, he linked me a regular battery. I've been a loyal client. I've even worked at Airsoft GI. I hate that I am writing this review, but I'm left with no choice. I know that the ceo and gm is very Customer service orientated. I dropped off my vfc already for relocation of wires and mosfet install. I also wanted them to chrono the gun to see if I was at a certain FPS. The Asian in store guy said it's part of the standard service and it would be fine. I got the email and it didn't have any notes. So I called early November to make sure it was there. They said it wasn't but they will add it. Now I left for vacation got an email saying it was done. I asked my brother to call in to make sure it was done. The chrono was never done until I called in. Now I didn't like the results of the chrono and want a spring change and they'll like me to pay for another gearbox opening. How is this right? My brother and I purchased one of the airsoft gi bigger YouTube mystery boxes for $200. In the description on their website, it mentions multiple times that anything from the airsoft gi website can be won. Out of the hundreds of possible options, we both received the exact same box. The gun was the exact same model number and there were no differences between the 2 boxes since every item was the exact same. These mystery boxes are unable to be returned and do not qualify for any promo codes. Since we were also not allowed to use a shipping promo code, we spent $236 (including shipping), where the guns we received were $215. Had we purchased them regularly without the mystery box, we could have also used promo codes. The fact that we both received identical boxes heavily suggests that there is no customisation that goes into this process. This seems like a way for this company to overcharge their customers and would highly recommend seeking a different Airsoft vendor. It feels like everytime I revise an update to this store, my rating count legit drops. But regardless. An update is an update. If you haven't read my initial review, this may not make any sense. So thus far, it took a whole month for my large $200+ order to resolve as a refund. However, my other order never came. It sucks for me since I was stupid enough to place two separate orders at the same time, ergo running into the same issue. My assumption is either the same dumb UPS guy did not do his job properly, or the people at ASGI is going round-and-round with me. I'm not sweating the huge order my friend and I placed anymore since that was resolved and money was refunded to his account. But my personal one, ordered the same day in store, is having the same issue; this is ridiculous. For all the managers here's the order number 950262. Best part about this order, its worth like 30 bucks or so, big whoop in comparison to the $200+. I should've read the reviews beforehand, but whatever, it seems like the same issue happens to other people too. Anyhow the rant begins, Obviously I'm filing the complainton the order because I had not received it, but apparently someone did not want to take blame for a lost package(s). They had the audacity to tell me I told UPS that I received it. Now let me question this: WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I CALL TO COMPLAIN ABOUT A PACKAGE I RECEIVED?! In the end, once I resolve this second package ordeal with ASGI, I am done doing business with them. I have never been anywhere that has this sort of issue. I placed an order on 10/1/2022. I received all the items as ordered, but I realized I ordered some items I don't need. I checked their return policy and the items I want to return can be returned per their policy since they haven't been used and I'm requesting to return them within 45 days of ordering. On 10/17/2022 I submitted a RMA request on their website, per their return policy. As of the moment they have not responded. I've followed up several times on the RMA request on their website, six phone calls and by email, no response at all from them. purchased an airsoft gun a few months ago but forgot to leave a review. i was new to upgrades and asked for advice from the customer service representative and he gave me a list of options and added them to my cart for me and submited my order over the phone. The upgrades took about 2-3 months for them to be installed. once the order was complete i drove to the walnut store to pick up my order and to my surprise the inner barrel the representative suggested was sticking about a foot outside the gun. i was very confused because this wasn't what i wanted. i tried to talk to the store employee that this was not what i wanted and he said " well this is what you ordered so now your stuck with it" i told him no i don't want this and the only option he gave me was to charge me a fee to cut the inner barrel. with very little time and not wanting to drive back to pick up my airsoft gun i agreed and cut the inner barrel but i felt like it was handled poorly and might think twice about getting my upgrades from them again. read more

I recently brought a Redline Mini SFR via their online website. Upon receiving the regulator I tested out on my tank and notice the pressure in the regulator slowly creeping up. Did a little online search and seems like it can be cause by debris in the regulator. Being new to HPA I called them on the phone and see if I can get help from them. Told them the situation and they told me it can be couple different causes and suggest I reach out to Redline myself and they don't want to send me a replacement and said it is common for Airsoft item to come it a condition where you need to do some maintenance on it even though is brand new. I wasn't satisfied with that answer at first since this is a brand new item and I don't get why do I have to do this extra step to call Redline and try to fix the issue. But end up I did emailed Redline and was told to try take it apart and clean it because again it maybe due to dirt/debris inside. I took the regulator apart following the instruction provided by Redline and the issue still persist. So I called Airsoft GI and told them what I did and the issue still there. Their respond is "did you ask Redline again?" At this point I told them the item is defective and I want a replacement. But they said since Redline said is maybe cause by dirt, it is not consider a manufacture defect and may not be cover under their warranty. They want an actual email from Redline saying that it's indeed a defect before they can do a proper replacement. They keep emphasizing that is normal for Airsoft item to arrive in a none working condition even thought it is brand new. And when I do send the item back for replacement, I need to pay for the shipping cost to send the item back to them. I told them all the other Airsoft companies I dealt with I never have to pay for the shipping to return a defect item. They proceed to tell me other companies do require customers to pay for the shipping. At that moment I was just so frustrated to a point I have to hang up because I getting the sense that Airsoft GI will not be able to help me on the issue. Overall the customer service that I got from them this time is horrible. From the way they respond to my issue on a brand new item that I brought from them make me feel like they are just there to sell the item. And if anything wrong with it, figure it out on your own and make sure you get proof from the manufacture that it is defect and then you can contact them for a replacement. But make sure you pay for the shipping it back to them. All the other companies I dealt with were straight forward, got an defect item, no problem, send it back and if it is the case, we replace it for you. Airsoft GI is the only company so far that make me to go extra steps to figure the issue out with the manufacture and then come back with proof before I can get help from them. read more

My boyfriend and I drove 4 hours to celebrate his birthday in LA and the one thing he really looked forward to was checking out Airsoft GI and picking up an order he made online. We didn't think the order would be ready in time to pick up before we drove all the way back home but Cisco did all he could to give my boyfriend the best birthday gift! He was so happy the whole way home and it truly made our trip worth it! We'll definitely swing by next time we're in the area. This store has a lot of potential but it appears the inmates are running the asylum. Lots of floor space and lots of variety of guns but that's where it ends. It's very difficult to browse because nothing has pricing that is obvious and I felt bad having to ask cost on similar items to try and figure out what's what. Then I go to pay and it took 15 minutes to ring up 6 items because the pricing is not necessarily in the system. I placed an order for an air soft pistol, green gas and BB's on April 17, over a month ago. No response since then. Have called and sent email. I get it that things are tight right now, but NO response in a month! I also sent in an air soft pistol for repair (pre-paid for this service). Finally heard back today (after several emails) that they hadn't "received it" yet, despite being confirmed (FedEx) they received on May 5. Due to being understaffed. These guys talk a good game, but they sure aren't taking care of paying customers. They now have my $225 and an expensive air soft pistol for repair and I have nothing. Had the absolute worst time here. Came in to purchase, knew what I wanted, had cash ready to pay. When I asked to see the rifle I was told "oh you don't want that" I kindly asked why? Then he replied, "it's to expensive". Like I'm sorry am I supposed to walk in a suit made out of money. I do not recommend coming here for servicing. Their airsoft gun pricing is great, but the customer service aspect is lacking. I purchased an Airsoftgi FMG4 here and it had issues out of the box. I came in for servicing and they looked at the gun. The representative guessed it was the hop up cover, broke it off, and later asked the technician what the issue was. The technician looked at it after the representative broke off the part and recommended me to purchase a different hop up. The recommendation was fair. But when I asked if they could reattach the hop up cover, they asked me to pay for labor. In summary, they broke a part when they misdiagnosed and asked for me to pay. They did not provide any warranty coverage or anything. This was my experience with them, hopefully it's something that doesn't happen to others. When Airsoft GI first opened their doors, I threw my money at them and made sure no one else got my business. I didn't care if their products costed slightly more, I just wanted them alive. But as time passed, they seem to have gotten out of the loop. Their website is full of items that are never going to be restocked(And they still display these items in their show cases). The last three times I visited I left empty handed. They told me that they have to have the item shipped from their warehouse. It was very inconvenient. What's even more inconvenient is the parking situation. There's so many red curbs and curbs with a fire hydrant....It's almost like finding parking on Black Friday every time I come. The workers are respectful at least. They're very accepting and professional, no matter how weird I am or how annoying I act towards them. The only complaint I have is they make a big fuss about not wanting to let you see guns on the wall if you don't plan on buying...How am I supposed to know I'd like it if I don't even know how it feels in my hands? I also think they should upgrade their check out and have a queue for people who need to ask questions/are unsure of what they want, and a queue for people who know exactly what they need without seeking any help. I was stuck there watching kids play call of duty for an hour just because I really needed BBs, but the 3 people in front of me were completely lost on what kind of gun they wanted. Airsoft GI is the closest business of its kind near me...but I think it's worth the extra 20 minute drive to go to their competitor. Sorry Airsoft GI, but our time is done. Hey guys... I went to this store for the first time wanting to get in the sport. I'm into fire arms but since ammo is getting a bit expensive I thought I would give this a try. So I was helped by an Asian Guy with glasses. I told him that I was looking for something accurate and something that throws over 400fps. I first asked about their xtreme 45 but I also took a look at another pistol. He kept wanting to rush and seemed out of focus. I told him if this other pistol was better than their xtreme 45 and he said that it was (more expensive BTW) and will go over 400fps. I believed him and he said yes with confidence. So I bought it. Came home and found out that it does only up to 300fps. What a liar! I'm very dissapointed at this Guy and it came with different grips as the one I saw. I feel like I got ripped off. Now I live an HR away from them and did not feel like going all the way back just for a refund. I wish this Guy would've not lied to me. If I knew, I would probably have picked up their xtreme 45. The store itself was actually pretty nice... overall, I only give it 2.5 stars since I did not like the way I was lied to and rushed by this salesperson which the whole time seemed like he did not want to help me, only because maybe I was a newb? I basically just come here because it is about 15 minutes away from my house. Other than that I go to the other super store which actually has more items in stock. Only gripe I have with AirsoftGI is that they don't have in-stock what it says on their website. If you have it on your website, then it should be in your store but everytime I go to their walk-in store, I leave empty handed because they tell me that they have two sites up and running. One for the public and one for their sales people. What is on the public site doesn't necessarily mean it is in their walk-in store. NOW, tell me if I'm wrong. I may not be a business owner and I don't have a business degree but people, get a clue. People go to the store to buy something and if you don't have it, they will go somewhere else. I know they say that it is in their warehouse and they can either ship it for free or have it the next day and you can come back and pick it up. But if anyone is like me, when I want to buy something, that usually means I want it now. NOTE TO THE OWNER: Can you imagine how much revenue you can make in one day if every customer who walks in to your store actually buys something. LET'S NOT EVEN START ON THEIR PRICES! I think, the only explanation I can get from their high prices is to make up for the lost sales they would have gotten if they have all their stock in their store instead of a warehouse that's hours away. Buying accessories or parts takes more time than I expected. I fell asleep on a couch here, in front of one of the surveillance cameras after I got tired of looking at the displays. If you're into guns, you'd probably be a fan but I think the tactical gear is more interesting. The staff are more than willing to educate you on brands. They call themselves the largest Airsoft store in the state, but you don't really get to see the huge warehouse. read more

What to say about this air soft store? How about.........FREAKING AWESOME!!! The selection of guns alone blew my mind!! Pistols, shotguns, and rifles!! Oh my!! Prices for the "Beginner" guns were amazing!! And they have a SHOOTING RANGE!! I actually got to try before I buy, which in my case was much appreciated. The gun may look nice, but if it feels wrong.......need I say more? They even have a "Gaming" lounge!! The staff was super knowledgeable and super friendly!! 2.5 Stars for their Packaging & Shipping Cost I would like to make it clear the 2.5 Stars is for the price of shipping. It was $8 shipping for a patch. A PATCH! And I live in L.A. County. I don't live too far, but far enough to not wanna drive out there for a patch. Okay, I know it's cheaper for a company to have only a certain amount of boxes of various sizes instead of a ton of different sizes for various items... this saves money; good business sense. But how about just a few small envelopes or padded envelopes for the really small things. In my case, the shipping cost more than the item I purchased. Also, if you were one of these environmental folks, which to some level I am, the amount of packaging for a small item isn't environmentally conscious. Their packaging and shipping protocols should be re-examined. Who knows, they might actually save money in the long run. As for the in store/warehouse service, I'm not familiar with. My cousins seem to be happy with them when they go in, and as for their youtube video reviews, they're great... thorough, concise, and funny. When I finally go in to purchase something from their actual warehouse, I'll change the star score, depending how I'm treated... Airsoft GI: Where defects are normal and acceptable while refunds are not. The Goblin Deuce I ordered came with one functioning cartridge and one defective cartridge. The defective cartridge spewed gas when it was being filled and did not provide sufficient pressure to propel the BBs beyond throwing distance. Therefore, I filled out an RMA and sent the Deuce back to get a replacement. Upon receiving the Deuce for inspection, the Airsoft GI technician claimed that the cartridge had no issues and sent the defective product back me. Incredulous that I would have to demonstrate a defect that was clearly obvious to my friends, my wife, and my dog and with no other options, I drove an hour to the store. Of the five employees present, only 3 were actually working, so I waited 30 minutes for my name to be called so I could wait another 15 minutes to see a technician. He filled the functioning cartridge without issue, but when he filled the defective cartridge, gas spewed out and frosted over his hand. "That's normal," he said. When I asked why this was only happening with the one cartridge, he blamed my choice of gas, angle of fill, and the temperature of the cartridge. I pointed out that gas, angle of fill, and temperature aren't even variables in this equation since one cartridge functions, and the other cartridge won't fully pressurize because it spews gas. When he filled the cartridges again, he said, "Look! Now the good cartridge is spewing gas." I pointed out that he had unwittingly switched the cartridges. Then, the technician retrieved a second pair of cartridges from another Goblin Deuce. Upon seeing that these cartridges also spewed gas and provided a minimal amount of pressure, the technician said, "See, it's normal." "It's only normal if you accept that normal is defective," I insisted. He then offered to trade me the two "normal" cartridges for my "normally" defective cartridge and my "abnormally" functional one. I told him that I didn't want TWO defective cartridges! As if acknowledging the undeniable defect meant that the refund would come directly out of his own paycheck, he continued to insist that defective products are normal and acceptable at Airsoft GI. read more

I ordered a few guns and an armor load-out on a Thursday and OMG i got it on the following Monday. Every other store Ive bought from usually takes at least 5 days minimum and these guys took 1 day. I know its only one day cuz during one of their sales this dude with oakleys told me that they dont ship things out during the weekend. The pictures from the in store definitely do not do them justice. It looks like a ghost town!!!! This place is ALWAYS Packed!! Filled with people buying. Honestly Ive never met anyone so knowledgeable about airsoft than the storefront guy. I forgot his name, but he definitely knows his stuff. I like how hes serious about his work and don't fool around BSing like in small shops. Techs are pretty good too, They got my old school marui shooting like it was new again. They also did a good job on my G4, Tuning it to almost 25 bbs a sec. Ive been coming here for about a year now and the store has changed so much. Awesome customer service and a wide variety of guns and gears. This place has sales reps that actually take their time to explain every gun you're interested in and work with your budget. Unlike other Airsoft stores, they don't make you feel stupid for asking a bunch of questions and don't rush you so they can make their sale have have you out of there. I bought an almost $400 airsoft rifle and bought accessories to go with it. The order came out to be almost $500. When I recieved the gun, the gun's wouldn't work properly. I contacted the rma department send in my gun and when they recieved it they said they experienced none of the problems I had and sent it back. I asked for store credit and was denied. I contacted customer service and was argued with and got no where. The representative was very rude and acted like he could care less. I went over their return policy and they didn't acknowledge it.
