WOW = ) Well my birthday is coming up on June 11th, 4 days away, and I want to get a new AEG. I love the way the M4 handles/feels so i was looking and saw Airsoft GI's G4 line. Exectly what I am looking for! So I go in to the store after work only to find they are custom built, dont have any on display, and if i wanted one there would be a 10 day wait for them to even get started on it because of the waiting list ahead of me. Yea i was a lil let down but its not their fault. So im looking around and im not finding anything and the sales guy helping me, Jason Burnes, is helping me look around also. He tells me he will be right back, so he returns like 5 min later and tells me my G4 is being built!!!! WTF?! i seriously said "get the fuck outta here!" lol I couldnt BELIEVE IT! I recently purchased a gift voucher for someone. Waited two full business days just to recieve and email from airsoftgi that it was available to send (!?) The person who was to recieve the voucher called and recieved no response. 10 days and several phone calls and emails back and forth, the gift voucher was sent. Purchasing process is confusing. First you purchase a voucher. It takes 48 hours for airsoftgi the activate it. Then airsoftgi emails you a confirmation to send as a gift. In my case everytime i went to send it an error message saying the amount was invalid won't let it go. I live on the east coast so their customer service hours are not consumer friendly. The last (and fourth!) time was the charm, When I logged on to my airsoftgi account it was much more user friendly and the voucher was there for me to send (sans problems) to the recipient. Website is confusing (the send voucher instructions in the Help section are incorrect), purchasing is cumbersome, overall unprofessional impression. Won't be back. read more

First off I gave G.I. 4 stars because of their quality. Unlike evike their products are tested before they ship out so you don't have to hassle with returns or broken merchandise. The store layout is awesome with couches and a big screen with a X-box while you wait. That brings up another topic which is the waiting time and customer service. The waiting time is alot better than evikes and they have a lot more employees working the counters. The employees are friendly though some are a bit rude. My biggest beef with them is their insane prices for technical work. They wanted 40 dollars to swap out a spring! Instead of wasting my time and money I looked on the internet on how to swap a spring out on a version 2 mech box and within the hour I figured how to swap the springs. Now It takes me no longer than 10 minutes to do it. 40 dollars for a job that takes ten minutes? I don't think so. read more

i have been a client of Airsoft GI for about 6 years. their staff knows the products really well. i have purchased about 50 guns from them already and they have everything to fit your budget, which is important because a lot of airsoft store only stock up on certain brand or focus on selling the cheaper stuffs because it fit their client. GI have something for the kids and yet crazy stuffs for the adults. brand selection is amazing and important when you want to go to the store like this. GI is like a big candy store and they always have the newest stuffs to look and play with. i always go there and ended up spending rest of my days there chatting and social with all the staffs there. The lines are always long there during weekend so the best time visit is during weekdays. If you love airsoft then this is must visit place at least once in your life just to see all the cool display they have there. read more

first ordered a Well MB4410B, notified 4 days later that it was out of stock. Switched out to a CYMA M28 M24 Spring Sniper Rifle, two days later notified it too was out of stock. Both times their site was showing in stock. Got poor customer service from the second call, and when I said I won't be shopping here, he didn't care, said "that's fine". I am done with this site, and will be shopping at evike. Going to try to cancel my order tomorrow but won't be surprised if they say no since its on backorder and not pending. read more

I've been a walk in customer from time to time over the past year or so and the poor customer service ceases to amaze me. I live 10mins. from this place and I will still drive 30mins to one of their competitors because of the lack of service. I only visited recently for a small part. Last week, I witnessed a father and son go in for help with a recently purchased AEG that was blowing fuses. Instead of offering to repair/resolve the issue; one of their so called "technicians" offered to simply "splice" the wire to eliminate the fuse holder which will just create a safety issue or possibly cause more damage to the internals. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! If it's blowing fuses, eliminating the fuse holder is NOT a resolution you IDIOT!!! I been a loyal customer to them for a couple years but recently their sale services have been lacking. I recently look out one of their clearance sale in their gun wall when I ask if i could test it to see if I like the feel or if it actually works one of the sale representative did not let me. I ask a couple of times if I could test it but he still said no which sent red flags to me about the products am about to purchase. I was determine to test it though so eventually one of the older and nice sales rep saw me and permits to do so. Like the others have said, their online and walk-in stores are two completely separate things because some of the items that are in stock in their website are not in their walk-in store. One of the sale rep actually did admits this to me because I have a couple of experiences when I literally have to drive out of their empty handed because is in stock on their website but not in their walk-in store. Additionally their rewards program in their walk-in and online store are also different so you can't use the rewards you accumulated form your online purchase in their walk-in store or vice versa which is a bit odd to me. The only reason probably why I still shop there because it's closer to my work and where I go to school at. They still have a few nicer and good sale reps out there. I would recommend calling them first before you purchase you go there to see if the items you wanted is actually in stock in their walk-in store to save you time and gas. read more

I have had one of the worst on line buying experiences with Airsoft GI. On 9/24 I ordered 4 WE SCAR open bolt mags. Since their web site did not specify if they were Gen 1 or Gen 2 mags, I left very specific instructions about them when I placed the order. If they were not Gen 2 mags they were to cancel the order. After several on line discussions and several phone calls I was assured they were sending me what I had requested. Upon receiving the package 1-1/2 weeks later I was sent the exact item I had made very clear I did not want. I immediately called an voiced my displeasure with what had transpired. After several more calls they agreed to take the items back. This would have been fine except for the 15% restocking fee and the return shipping fees I had to pay to send back items I very clearly said I did not want. I even provided photographic proof of the issue and they still would not reverse the shipping or restocking fee. I am an avid air softer and spend a lot of money on this hobby. I can not recommend them and will not purchase from them until this issue is cleared up by them, I am not holding my breath since their CSR James K slammed that door shut. This is my place of choice to get products. They don't always have everything in stock but they carry a higher quality of products than some of the other shops in the immediate area. Customer service is awesome, much more than I can say for their competitor. They have knowledgeable staff always willing to help and answer questions you have. I recently bought a fairly expensive gun from their site. After dealing with the nightmare service from UPS, I finally was able to actually use the product. The price being on the high end I expected great performance. That was not the case, however it wasn't enough to warrant a return BUT I do think it warranted a review. I went to the site and wrote a review illustrating the flaws I found with the product. I posted the review and to the day I have yet to see it up on the site. As a paying customer I feel my decision to purchase this product was partly based on the stellar reviews shown on the site. I only gave it 4 stars because this was my first time there and my service isn't fully complete yet. However, I was there today to drop off my MTC2 for upgrades and a few other interest. It's a really inviting place. It's laid out very well, the workers are very nice and professional and very knowledgeable. Evidently every airsoft store in southern california suffers from customer service from hell. I really wish I could love heading to Airsoft Gi, but quite frankly I would rather go get my urethera swabed. Their prices are the best, they have the best selection, and a pretty spiffy retail location but zombies for employees. I'm sorry, any business that requires you to sign in to be helped then wait 40 minutes, to simply buy a sack of bb's and a can of green gas either needs 1. more employees, or 2. a additional location. Unfortunately other airsoft locations that will go un named, suffer from similar wait times and disconnected, uninterested employees. If you must go to their retail location, then by all means be prepared to see slack jawed employees working as slow as possible to meet 30+ customers needs, each while actually spending 30 seconds of face time with the customer, then 5-10 minutes of prattle in the back and with other equally inept employees, all the while not resolving the customers issues. I first came here because I needed airsoft parts and because it was close to school. I didn't want to deal with Evike because it usually has more customers (kids) during the 2pm after school time. So what the heck, I gave this place a try after seeing it on google maps trying to find the Chipotle nearby. First thing I noticed when I walked in. No after school rush of kids, and a couch, so I can sit down if I have to wait. Their staff is very informed and know their stuff, since they actually play airsoft, unlike some of their competitors. Review in a nutshell (+) -Hella discounts (20% off Tuesdays!) -Informed staff that plays airsoft -Many of their items are in display cases, so you don't have to look over a counter to try to find it. -Separate section/room for tactical gear -2 couches to sit while you wait and an Xbox 360 to play while you wait -Great customer service/Sales team, makes you feel welcomed even if you are a novice. (-) -Store inventory =/= online inventory (You have to phone in beforehand to ask them to sometimes move it from their online inventory to their store inventory. Although they do have free shipping on those items if it is not available when you go to their store, sometimes you need those parts ASAP and don't want to wait a day/the whole reason why you have a retail store) -A bit hard to find on the first visit (probably why there's less kids here) Overall, ASGI is an excellent airsoft store, that I would come to more often rather than their competitor if I did not have to drive 18 miles from my home. Stay away it took them 5 months to do a simple fix on my sons gun!!!!! They were not going to honor the warranty and I was going to have to pay to have it fixed. My son only used their BBs and only used the gun one time!!! When I finally had time to go in and raise hell they fixed it in 10 min. They didn't charge me for the repair but did not refund the $25 I had to pay just have them look at it. After 5 months I got the gun back. I did not look at it when I picked it up but when I got it home I noticed the rear sites were broken off! Horrible service. I received a broken magazine for a gun and it wouldn't wind properly. I contacted the RMA department and got a replacement very quickly. Upon receiving a new magazine i tried to shoot the gun. I discovered that the gun too was broken. Great. I sent it in to return it. (I think it is fair to not want the broken gun even if it is repaired after all i never even got to shoot it.) they contacted me telling me that if i attempted to fire the gun then it is used and they wont take it back. I informed them that it was broken right out of the box. they proceeded to tell me that the warranty is also voided because i used the "inferior quality BBs" that they sent in the box with the gun. That makes sense. TLDR: THEY SEND YOU BROKEN CRAP AND DON'T REPLACE IT. read more

My review is for the customer server that I have received from Airsoft GI. I made an online purchase of a Tippman M4 CQB in early December and wrote an email later that day to cancel the order. On the following Monday I received an order cancellation confirmation email. After four weeks of waiting I sent out another email and was told they would take care of it. It is now almost six weeks later and I have still not received my money back for an airsoft rifle they never even pulled from the shelf. I got everything i need to start playing airsoft from tact gear to my new G&G gun. I definitely have a better grasp of the different styles of game play and the abundant amount of products that they offer. In store service was AWESOME! Unfortunately due to their online and Airsoft GI messing up my order 3 different times and the worst experience for me was when I ordered online in order to get some free stuff with the tokens you earn, I decided to use my tokens for a battery charger, since my old valken one broke. I was expecting shipment on Wednesday and I was going to SC village on Friday/Saturday w/friends. My shipment came with an 8$ coupon instead of the charger and I was thinking...WTF! Where is my charger? I called they explained that when I ordered it @ 11:59 I was one minute late due to the fact they updated the site removing the charger...but how is this my fault??? I ordered the charger and should have received it since that was the only reason why I ordered with GI and online! The best part is that charger is 15-25$ and I got an 8$ coupon for compensation. Their customer service and online sucks! The claim they test the guns or "shoot them" before they ship them to you, but that's s lie! My Krytac came with a defective non feeding mag! And My AGM Aeg M4 came with a broken stock. I will definitely be taking my business and $$$ elsewhere! What a horrible company!!! After talking with them to ensure that the guns would be back in my possession by a specific date, I shipped 2 guns for maintenance and upgrade. In the packaging I included the email exchange regarding the required time frame....which, by the way, was 3.5 weeks from when they would receive the guns. ONLY ONE OF THE GUNS WAS RETURNED! Now, a week later I still don't have the other gun and worse yet they keep lying to me! "You'll have it by Wednesday", "I said Friday", "We'll call you back in 2 hours", - I could go on and on with the crap they have told me! I guess I should mention that the one gun I did receive back doesn't work! I'm at my wits end with this company!!!! They now claim, and gave me a bogus tracking number, that the second gun will be delivered tomorrow - but NOT in the original box that I sent it in because "we have a box that fits the gun better". Really? how can the original box the gun came in with custom molded plastic not fit the gun the best? Now my gun has lost value just because I don't have the original box..... Even with all of this I was stupid enough to give them another chance, of course this was while I was still believing the lies. I places an order for mags and bb's and PAID for expedited shipping, called them first to confirm they'd get it shipped out within 2 days. You guessed it...didn't receive it on time! What a joke of a company. I was even told during one conversation that the supervisor couldn't speak with me because customer's were in the store and "they take priority"...seriously???? Am I not a customer? I've spent a few hundred dollars with them for the upgrades and equipment I ordered and that's just on two orders!!! I am barely getting into airsoft and started off by looking into airsplat which is another great place to shop and get quality supplies. So I wanted to try out airsoft gi since they were pretty local to me and noticed they had a walk in store. So as I first walked into the location I felt like a kid inside a candy store. They have a great variety of items to choose from at their location. The second time I came to shop here one of the employee's who got hired not to long ago was the biggest help. He answered all my annyoing questions in detail and gave me some really great knowledge and alternatives. I'm not sure what his name was but here are my order numbers from that deal #6750 #6741. I also ordered a sweet tru spec combat shirt but still waiting for it to come in. ONE STAR BECAUSE ZERO NOT ALLOWED Multiple Absolutely horrible online purchase experiences. I have ordered from them twice and both times they required this "phone confirmation" process "before 2:00pm" or your order gets delayed until the next day. which is really insulting when 1. you pay extra for expedited shipping 2. you try to call back and get placed on hold and told to leave a message. So much for my one shot at before 2:00 pm, I've got real work to do, which is why we order online, from home, after hours. Next , not only do they torture people who are already busy, with this live verbal "phone tag" confirmation circus even for repeat clients with multiple orders, when you call them out on it they get pissy "The first time you ordered with that email address is was as a guest, so we didn't find that order..." If that is not to your liking and ask to elevate the call to a manager they will deny you any request to speak with a manager. Same if you try to address your problem with the online chat feature, you only get pre-typed out messages to "call customer service between 9:00-5:30". When you type in the chat that customer service is the complaint, they stop responding to the chat. So go ahead call back, ask for the manager. wait on hold for 10 minutes and then get to speak with "his highness" "Edward" with a palatable lisp to his voice. So far both of these employee sound about 19 years old and by tone of voice display juvenile narcissistic entitlement attitudes to match that age estimation. So I ask, "in my previous call did you refuse to speak with me, or did the customer service rep refuse to elevate my call to a manager? I am ecstatic. I bought my son's third gun here. The service that airsoft gi provides far surpasses the other airsoft stores where i bought his first 2 guns. Very helpful with my questions and my son's questions. Matt provided many options for my son and explained why his kwa was the right one for him. He also made me feel comfortable in letting me know how reliable this guns is as opposed to cheaper, poorly built ones. I did have to wait but they did have plenty of things to browse thru plus my son got to play video games while he waited. Nice touch. Airsoft GI was always consistent at first; however as I continued to purchase from them, their quality went down. I always try to buy over 100 dollars just so I can get free shipping. I mean really, if you live in California and you ship your total price is going to be around 2x more than what the original gun price would be. My M4 I ordered came with a defective mag which angered me. They asked if I could ship it back (which i would have to pay for), then they would ship me back a new mag (which i would have to pay for again...). I would have been better off buying a new mag which is what i did. My UTG Gen. 5 Sniper came with a cracked weight placement in the stock of the gun. Their customer service is pretty mediocre from my experience. Whenever I tried using the live service, I would always end up waiting 10 minutes and then it would just tell me service is unavailable. Honestly I would give these guys a 3 store IF they didn't have their coupon codes and wide selection. GI, is probably the most reliable airsoft retailer out there.
