I called them and asked if it was okay for me to leave it overnight and they actually said yes. Usually, auto repair places all say no so I was really happy with that. This morning, I walked over to ask them to do the diagnostics and repair. When I told them what year my car was, the mechanic stopped everything and told me my car was still under warranty and to take it to the dealership so that the repair would be free. I didn't even think of this because I had bought it used and wasn't sure about the warranty. It was really nice of him to let me know! Hard to find such honest people sometimes and I appreciate them not taking me for a ride. If you know what I mean!

The two women that are always working there seem to not just dislike, but loath customers. Not an ounce of even fake customer service in there, most of the time they don't even acknowledge me. I'm lucky if they even say my total or look towards my face... even if I say, how are you or have a great day, nothing. I gotta wonder if they were ever trained in customer service or if this is their first service based position or maybe they just hate their job, but it shows. Several times I've walked up to the counter when they have a huge line and they'll be moving something around or messing with something and just taking obnoxiously long to even come up and service the next customer almost like they want to show you that you're on their time. Just bizarre all around. I recommend going to a different location or be prepared to encounter long lines and workers who hate what they do, yet also do it horribly inefficiently.

Texaco just installed a new car wash. It is not as user friendly as the previous system (the old…read morewash wasn't exactly user friendly-the payment area was always glitchy) but the old wash gave you a drier countdown as you exited, and if you exited slowly watching the countdown, your car would get about a 75-80% effective dry. The new wash does not have a countdown and it is confusing as to where exactly the car gets dried upon exiting. So my car was about 10% dried when I was done . Which sucked b/c I had to pull over and park and dry my entire car in the blazing sun to avoid water spots (luckily I had a junk towel in my trunk). But the worst part of the experience was the huge price hike. I paid $18 ($20 for the upgraded option which I passed on) for a marginal wash and had to wipe down my car. Before the wash was updated I paid $15 for the upgraded (marginal) wash and had to wipe down about 20% of my car. So heads up-if you want to be robbed you can try this new wash out. I would suggest saving $18-$20 and just hose down and wipe/dry your car yourself. Such a bummer b/c it was my routine after the beach to get the salt off.

Last night I needed some gas, and since I was driving along in the Nui Valley area, I found this gasoline station just next door from a 7-Eleven convenience store. The gas station is very small, as there are only (2) gas pumps, so at most it can only serve (4) customers at once. The gas prices here are not bad at all, and if you come here for gas, after you fill your tank up, you can just go next door & grab something from 7-Eleven like a Garlic Chicken Musubi! Lol!

Running on fumes…read more.. Not me for a change but my ride as it takes me to places that it never asked for but am so grateful for it hanging in there along with me. This day is no different and as I'm in Hawaii Kai Towne Center location and not familiar when it comes to a gas station just didn't want to risk the time and effort for a search took this Aloha as I see many do as well. With lots of pumps though didn't see any air or vacuum stations they do have a mini mart that I didn't enter as i just needed gas did notice that they do have a bit dated and sad looking squeegee and touch up trash can which is still not many stations have and is good to know when the windows need a bit of love. Honestly don't know anything else about this location but was definitely a convenient for gas and various items and is basically clean and got me on my way. Thank you!
