Would definitely go back to this location for our safety checks. It's so humbug to get safety checks so frequently, but they make the process painless and super quick. I was able to pay by credit card. When it's super busy, you'd have to wait, but otherwise, the whole process probably took about 15-20 minutes. read more

These employees are always incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient! Every time I've gone there for the last several years, I've only had excellent experiences. It's worth the little drive despite living by another 76 station as well as several other stations significantly closer. They have an outstanding rep by word-of-mouth, as well deserved. I would never waste my time going anywhere else! read more

Absolutely the best Customer Service! We've had numerous Safety Inspections here and every time they are done efficiently fast. The "Lead" guy has always hustled while being patiently kind and extremely focused. Today another young man coordinated with him on the Safety Inspection. Both seem Gen Z and showed excellent work ethic and great teamwork. I arrived at 8:45 AM and my entire visit was approx 15 minutes. They're hard-working and deserving tons of praise. Spare yourself the stress of dealing with anywhere else! read more

Everyone gives good service and works hard here. Very convenient, they are accommodating and polite.

Here to leave yet another 5 star review for the 76 aina haina station. I rolled up on a Saturday just before noon for a vehicle safety check, unsure what their hours were and hoping for good luck. One worker kindly informed me they had just finished for the day but another employee - Race was his name - said he was happy to complete mine real quick. He was so kind, professional, and speedy! I was in and out of there in under 15 minutes. And it only cost $26 and change. I can't recommend them enough! I'll be going there yearly from now on. Thanks, Race! read more

Today was the last day to renew my safety check. I called at 2:15 PM and asked if I could get an inspection today. The young man on the phone said that if I could be there in 40 minutes he could do the inspection. I got there with six minutes to spare, and as promised my safety inspection was done. He even checked my oil for me. All of this for a mirror charge of $25. And, their gas is $.20 cheaper than Kaneohe! read more

Safety Inspection was great! I highly recommend this place. I drove up, parked for a few minutes, and the crew was very quick to get the vehicle inspected and it all went smoothly. read more

One of the quickest safety check experiences I've been to. 76 Aina Haina came highly recommended by the yelp community after a quick search on the app. I was off of work and went on a Friday afternoon around 2:30. No wait, the whole process took about less than five minutes and I was out and back home. Definitely recommend appreciate the friendly service! read more

Great place to do a safety check! No appointment needed. Very fair in noting who was up next. Very polite & nice guys there.

I would like to thank the kind attendant who assisted me yesterday with putting air in my tires! I will continue visiting here for fuel and any other vehicle needs. read more

It is that dreaded safety check time of the year. Depending on when and which inspection station you go to, you may end up with a long wait or finding out that you don't have the required documents and something needs to be corrected on the vehicle. I have had some good visits to this station so decided to take a chance. As I drove up, the young gentleman quickly directed me to pull up to the side as he was finishing up another vehicle ahead of me. I waited about 7 minutes and prepared all of my documents then handed it over to him. After going through the checklist of car functions; headlights, horn, turn signals and visuals of good tire tread etc, I was asked to pay the $27 fee. He then quickly took the mileage and renewed my decal. The whole process was done in about 20 minutes and I was happier than a kid in a toy store. I even tipped the young man and told him he did a great job! Mahalo Aina Haina 76! read more

These guys trying to upsell safety checks. Kid told me all the tires were bald so he couldn't pass me. He said the tread wasn't deep enough but I pointed out it was definitely deeper than 2/32 inch. Then he tried to switch his reasoning and say they were cracking and pointed to some tiny cracks (way less than 1") on the tread. Don't fall for it. Don't even waste your time coming here. Kaimuki Auto does good honest work. Kapahulu is good too. read more

Only thing stopping me from a 1 star review is the fact that I've come here for safety inspections before and had good experiences. Today I came, parked in a stall, checked in to let them know I was here for a safety... I watched 3 cars that arrived AFTER me, get their safety check before I did, well I didn't get it because I eventually left after being disregarded. Kept being told to get back in the car and wait. Keep in mind I have my toddler who is going stir crazy in the backseat waiting.... So if you want a fast safety check, do what everyone else did and park in front of the others waiting and just assert yourself and they will probably let you cut. What a waste of 30 minutes that I spent waiting. read more

They really need to come up with a better system for safety checks; pull a number or have a sign in sheet. It's unorganized and staff can't remember the order of service. Customers cutting line etc. Aside from this, once the inspection starts it's fast and efficient. read more

The best place to get your safety checks and fill up gas. With the Kama'aina card we pay 15 cents less per gallon which is way better then most places where prices are soaring and its good quality gas. Attendants are friendly and attentive. read more

Cannot beat the safety check system these guys got going on. Sharp, courteous, and super efficient.

Went there on Jan 2, 2026 for a safety check. The two young men working the safety check process are courteous, professional and efficient. I used to go to another station in Kaimuki, but Iʻm changing to Aina Haina now. It took 15 minutes to get the job done. read more

Called and asked if I need to make an appointment for a safety check. Phone was answered on the first ring. It is first come first serve from 9am to 1 pm. I drove over and was second in line. Waited about 5 minutes. Safety check was done in about 10 minutes. One of my tires needed air so they checked all four- no additional charge which is unheard of nowadays. I would give them six stars if I could. Super friendly. I'll be back next year. read more

The guy who does all the safety's needs a raise! In all honesty he is such a hard worker, with such a good attitude and is so kind. I've been getting safeties from there for a while and it's so convenient thanks to this guy! He's done it every time. He's quick and so patient! And the lady who was helping him was so sweet and patient as well. I got in after a bunch of people came and they handled it with grace! I was stressing out for them and they managed the crowd so well. Having worked in customer service for over 20 years I was impressed to say the least. Mahalo nui guys! I hope the customers show you kindness in return for all your hard work! read more

They perform safety inspections very efficiently and their employees are so nice and friendly! The price of their gas is comparable to other gas stations in the area. Will definitely take my car there in the future! read more

It's that time of year again and I needed a safety check. I found out they do them from 8:00-3:00pm, M-F now. I got there about 12:45 and was told there were a couple people in front of me. Sure enough, was called to pull up after about 15 minutes. Another young man took my info and everything was going great until I found out I needed two new front tires because my current ones were slightly bolo (insert crying emoji). No problem, was told they could put on new ones within the hour for $530 which included the safety check. Went to Foodland to kill time and after 30 mins I was walking back when I saw them driving my van out. They had finished putting on the new tires and I was good to go! Such an easy, pleasant transaction as always. read more

On 11/11/24, at 1:19pm, I went here for a safety check. Without checking or measuring my tired tread, they said 3 out of my 4 tires were bald. So they refused to give me a safety check but were quick to offer to replace 3 of my tires or all 4 of my tires for $800. I promptly left and got a safety check from a reputable auto repair shop in Kapahulu. Avoid these clowns at Aina Haina 76 read more

Called them today for a Safety Check for my truck. Advised they do Safety Checks today till 3pm. Got there around 215pm. Just had to wait maybe 10 min. Young gentleman that helped me was great. Quick service and very respectful. Did not get his name. Seems hard to find these simple things for customer service nowadays. Cashier was great too. It was nice to see. The staff here are great! Friendly and fast service. I've been able to get same-day oil changes. They usually quote 1 hour for turn around, but most of the time it's done in 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend visiting them, especially if you live in the neighborhood. read more

Safety check expired so I brought my car here on a Monday. Super busy but they handled the customers efficiently. It was a 2 to 2-1/2 hour wait (first come, first served) but I could put my name on a waitlist and get a call when my turn comes up. Since I live in the area, I could go home and come back. There's couple of restaurants and the library in the shopping center if you if do not have that luxury. The guys here are SUPER NICE even though it is very busy. Five star + service. Note to self- next time come early afternoon, much less busy then. read more

Expedient service provided by Race. He got me in and out quickly and was professional and friendly. Thanks!!

I live in Hawaii Kai but will make the drive to Aina Haina because the service is so fast, friendly, and honest here. They have legit the fastest and easiest safety check and I trust their oil changes. I can tell they aren't just trying to rip me off, but they are thorough and honest with what needs to be fixed asap and what can wait a bit. Having my car running well is super important because of the little humans I'm always transporting. Highly recommend aina haina 76 for honest work on your car. read more

I always come here to get an oil change. Friendly staff, even the mechanics are nice. Always greeted very kindly. They Don't try to rip you off. They do recommend stuff but it was because my tires were literally bald. They have never tried to up sell me or pressure me into getting things that aren't necessary. I make an appointment drop it off and it's usually done within an hour or so. They always call as soon as it's ready. It's just simple and easy and hassle free with great customer service. There's plenty to do at the shopping center too while you wait for your car as it's connected to the shopping plaza. This place never makes me feel uncomfortable and I don't get anxiety when I come here. read more

Got my safety check done here. They do not take appointments, so it's first come, first serve. I stopped by around 1pm on a weekday and they asked for my name and number, and said they'll call me when they're ready for me. They asked me to stay close-by and mentioned that it would be about an hour wait. Fortunately they happen to be in a small shopping plaza, which happened to have a shave ice place (Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha), so I just got myself a shave ice and chilled out until they called me. The actual safety check took 5 minutes. They asked me to turn on my lights, blinkers, windshield wipers, etc. Afterwards they slapped the safety check sticker on my bumper and I was all pau. I can't remember how much I paid, but I think it was in the ballpark of $25 or $29. The mechanic who did the safety check was very nice. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5, as I think it'd be better if they took appointments so the customer doesn't have to wait around. read more

First time going here to be honest. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews. I had to get a safety check and the place I have been going to for years were on vacation. This location is convenient. I called ahead and they told me it was a walk-in and how many people were currently waiting. I drove down and was immediately greeted by a nice lady. She asked what I needed and alerted me to the current wait. She signed me and gave me an estimate of time and took down my phone number and said they would call me when it was my turn. My turn came quicker than the estimated wait time. A young looking technician came out and had me go through the usual lights, wipers, tires and all the normal stuff. While thorough with his inspection it was quick and easy. The price was at par for every place I have gone before. After this experience, I'll probably come back here again next year. Thank you to the people working today, great service with a smile! read more

First come first served Safety check! This is a rare thing these days. Quick service and friendly staff!

Worst place I've ever been for a safety check sticker. What a waste of time. Did everything then finally busted out the tint meter. Was just a few percent over. Not blacked out. And that's fine if they want to be strict, but do it first if you think it might fail. I hate time Wasters. Might be ok if you have a totally stock truck or car. read more

I took my car in for a safety check and while waiting my car didn't start. It was raining and although they were busy they tried to check out my car to get it running again. I had made arrangements for a tow truck but when business slowed down, the senior guy (not old mind you) there checked my car again he found it was actually just loose battery cables. He tightened them up and I was able to get my safety check and be on my way. Aina Haina 76 is a real a customer service oriented business. You rarely find businesses like this anymore.
