So tonight I decided to ask the associate why every time I pay cash you folks don't give me the cash discount she said we have to ask for it and also needed to be a Foodland Maikai member and show proof. Come on now where's the customer service the way the gas prices are so high what's 5cent gallon cheaper. I told her the Monsarrat Aloha just gives me the discount because I pay in cash . Although I'm a Foodland member as well . The associate replied I guess our location is busier and the owner is more strict . Well guess where my business is going from now on ! I would advise this place to keep up with the times or just not use technology at all. I placed an online order for pickup, as I and my friends were driving by the area and on our way to Kailua. But when I called to confirm the order, I proceeded to receive some of the worst & rudest customer service I've experienced from any merchant. I was passed from the initial respondent to the manager, and when I asked whether the order was ready for pickup and confirmed, the manager proceeded to tell me he didn't know who I was and that I couldn't come into the store for a pickup order, although the order was placed through an online ordering app and my profile information & order history was linked. They proceeded to tell me I should not come to the store and if I wanted to purchase any merchandise I should have a delivery person to pick it up instead. The experience stood out to me, as it wasn't only what felt like a waste of time on my part, but a feeling of extreme frustration and even shame as if I had done something wrong. Make sure if you send a young child in you check the change he or she is given. They will try to rob kids. My son went in to buy a musubi that costs $2.29. He pulled out $3 and the fat ass guy behind the counter told him $3. He gave it to him not knowing because he is young and came back out. I asked about his change and he said he didn't get any and what the guy said. I went back in and told him he never got his change and he had the "Shit I got caught" look and gave him some change right out of the register without even looking. This is a very nice location. Recently ripped down and rebuilt, the inside layout is so much nicer, spacious, and the options are greater. When I went, it was to kill some time before my daughter's soccer game in Kahala, so we went in looking for spam musubi (my daughter is such the local girl). They had plenty of options, hot and cold, and the price was right. Most important when grading retail is service...and the two ladies behind the counter here were great! Very friendly, greeting us when we arrived and thanking us when we left. I miss those days when that was the norm and not the exception. Ah, I'm getting old. There are plenty more parking stalls outside, and there are four available lines for gas. All-in-all, a great location that now looks like it belongs in Kahala! Terrible customer service. Diesel pump wouldn't accept credit card payment at the pump; kept asking for PIN (not even ZIP). Went inside to ask what to do to pay at pump and was told to hit the credit button. Well duh. I would have if I could have. The guy condescendingly told me it was a diesel pump as if I didn't know what my car needed. I ended up prepaying and asked if I'd have to come in every time to get gas there; cashier said that sounded like a personal problem. TL/DR: Diesel pump won't allow for credit card payment at pump, staff don't listen to customers, respond with rude/condescending comments instead. The best gas station toilet ever! I know this might sound really weird but when was the last time you used a gas station toilet? Hopefully it's been awhile because most of the time I'd rather lop off my arm than use a public toilet. The floors are sticky, the waters are murky, or worse yet, brownish green, and the soap... non-existent. So when my little one announced on Halloween night that she needed to go to the potty, my heart filled with dread. I think I would have preferred that we go into an old abandoned house in the middle of nowhere filled with possessed porcelain dolls and a man who wears a mask crafted of human skin. I can get myself out of any horror filled experience, but a gas station toilet? Now THAT is a real nightmare. With no toilet nearby we headed to the Aloha Island Mart to fill our gas tank and take my three-year old to the potty. I braced myself and prayed to God we would be safe. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items and how clean it was. They have a walk-in beer cooler (BEER CAVE!) and a rather large assortment of wines. We entered the women's bathroom and I gasped. Not in horror, but in awe of how clean it was! Spotless floors, clean toilet, clear water, well-stocked toilet paper and endless amounts of soap!!! This might be the first time I've ever written in a review that it was a pleasure to pee! You might think that I'm getting a little too excited about a clean toilet but my toddler always, and I mean ALWAYS, has to go #2 anytime we're out in a public place. This is one of the few stops on the way out to the eastside that we make to grab some drinks, snacks and fresh fruits for the road. This mini mart is pretty big and it has just about everything you need. It even has magnum bottles of wine or champagnes on display. The displays of sandwiches and fresh fruit and even a f'real shake machine is always a welcome site. I guess its safe to say its because its in kahala. I wouldn't expect to see any any gas station mini mart with this kind of select quality mechandise anywhere else. Initially, the gentleman at the cashier showed willingness to help me with the air machine if store was not busy. But cashier was busy, so he mentioned to the other staff Mike K(?) to help me, and Mike was very nice to guide me in how to put air in my tires using the air machine. Even though they are usually busy and do not help with the air machine, the 2 staff coordinated well together (great communication & team work!) and made time to help me out. Who knew a local gas station could be so amazing!!! It has been years since I have been here and this gas station had a serious upgrade. What stands out from your regular gas station is not only is it clean but they have these awesome items: - shake station - where you can choose your flavor from the freezer then put it in the machine to choose your thickness!!!!! THAT BY ITSELF IS AMAZING! - new, fancy soda fountains - large heated food section with lots of musubi, inari, etc. - refrigerated food section with fresh fruit bowls, sandwiches to go, etc. - icee (or their version of it) - beer from the beer cave selection (first that I have seen on the island) - wine read more

Second - Once you do find out the price you realize that everything is OVERPRICED. This Aloha gas station is super nice since they remodeled it. The store is a lot bigger and has a lot wider of a selection than it used to. Prices here are a little high but about the same as the nearby Shell and Cheveron. All in all though I'm glad they put the money into the space and upgraded the facilities. read more

We often over look the true meaning sometimes that its not just what it means, but its something you feel in some way. There are a-lot of Aloha Island Marts throughout the island, and each of them are usually accompanied with the Aloha gas station. The reason why i mentioned only place you see/feel aloha in one place is because when you arrive you; Go for the ALOHA GAS Go In the ALOHA ISLAND MART Provided ALOHA by the workers A-L-O-H-A. A little ALOHA In Our Day. Spread a little ALOHA in around the World. Literally, for some reason i always leave this island mart feeling good. In comparison to leaving out of a 7-11, now thats another story. What's great about this particular Aloha Island Mart is that it's very spacious, clean, a-lot of parking, great selections, great A/C, really friendly staff and as usual open 24/7. In addition when you want to get Air to inflate your tires, just go in and ask if you can get complimentary air, or if your like me to get a fun out of it just go in with a dollar and ask if you can get change for quarters to use the machine, and they'll tell you about oh its ok its free i'll turn it on. The great thing about this is that every time i go i always just go in with that trick and they always don't hesitate to enable it for the customers. I've done this several times and mind you each visit is a different worker. That's whats great about it thou, with that in mind you know that the worker is not just giving me special treatment. With every gas station charging for air now days, and free air being hard to come by for your tires, this is a plus for me, it may just be $0.50 for air but it adds up, especially when you don't have coins :P. In addition although this location maybe in Kahala, assumptions maybe made that "oh yeah there just being like that because of the cliental in the area" wrong, this location serves a-lot of different cliental and the workers definitely treat you with the ALOHA as would they would with anyone. it's weird for me to give a gas station mini mart 5-stars but this is seriously one of the best mini marts I've ever been to. I love that it's conveniently located on the corner of Waialae and Kilauea Avenues, right across the street from Kahala Mall. the mini mart is fairly newly renovated. it has everything from hot foods, sandwiches, chips, shakes, manapua, ice, phone chargers, cookies, drinks, and even a beer cave. I believe it's the very first beer cave (walk in fridge full of beer) on Oahu. it's my go-to place if I don't feel like driving to the grocery store to buy things. they also have a good variety of ready-made foods if you're looking for a snack to eat. their prices are reasonable too... not like most mini marts. check out Aloha Gas Stations website or monthly deals too! the mini mart is very clean and nice. I read in another review that the bathrooms are very clean but I haven't checked it out. LoL. There's parking for the mini mart but it can get pretty crowded since the store is so popular! read more

I stopped here for gas and the car wash. When asked if I wanted a car wash at the automatic pay station when buying gas I was simply presented with options for 1, 2, 3 or 4. I guess I would have to know what those options corresponded to as there was no information presented anywhere as to what those meant. Is 1 the best wash or the cheapest wash? How much is it? When I finished pumping gas I had to go inside for my receipt since the machine was out of paper. As I'm sitting in the wash line I discover that I wasn't given the discount for buying gas. It's only $1 but if it's going to be offered the business should honor it! read more
