Finding a touch of Japan in the Royal... Lawson Station in the lobby of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel was a nice surprise to see as it's not your ordinary convenience store...as the size itself is impressively larger and is filled with everything from snacks to beach gears. So neat and very organized that's what I saw as soon as I walk in are some beach gears as I assume many who plans to get that sun needs various accessories when they do provide for all ages, and what do you also need out there...snacks, lunch, drinks and all sorts of cravings and they do have it here! The abundance of mostly japanese/locally loved items of musubi, sushi, fruit sando and an isle filled with cup noodles they do have a hot water pot and microwave to heat your items which is convenient. On this hot afternoon I did noticed they have a freezer chest filled with individually wrapped Bubbies Mochi Ice Cream and Uncle's Ice Cream Sandwich it's nice to see the local flair here...besides they're awesome!!! With a great staff here and a bunch of Hawai'i souvenirs including some Japanese items as well this Lawson Station has a great inventory to take care of your needs and can see myself returning here to pick up a few items that I have yet to see elsewhere. Thank you!

I love Lawson! I am at Lawson at least once a day while I am staying at Royal Hawaiian. What I buy: 1. Oden (clear soy based broth Japanese stew) - pretty authentic and delicious. You can choose ingredients and pay by the each pice you picked. My favorite is Daikon, Fishcake and Fried Tofu. Don't forget to ask for extra broth and Japanese mustard. 2. Spam Musubi 3. Omusubi 4. Canned Cocktails 5. Japanese and Hawaiian snack 6. Saimin (Have to "cook" at their self service counter) If you are from Japan, you will be little disappointed with the variety, quality and pricing. If you are not, this place is amazing. 日本のローソンに比べると品数、質、コスパ、ちょっとがっかりすると思います。でもアメリカに住んでる私にとってはパラダイス! 日本のコンビニに1番近いアメリカのコンビニです。

Could not resist the pineapple soft serve sign in the window. I decided to try the Alicia mega soft serve. It's pineapple soft serve, mango cubes, pineapple chunks, strawberry cubes and mango soft. Absolutely delicious.

Japanese style tamago sandwich. A bit pricy, it is not bad or it is excellent. If less than five dollars, I think that there is a value. For now, they need to add a bit more of Japanese Mayo and salt.

Decided to go to the beach and grab some beverages from Lawson station on my way there. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they carried some Disposable Vape products!! The staff was extremely friendly and helped me get in and out quickly :) Make sure you have your Photo ID ready, they will card you

For those of you who are worried that Lawson Station is going to take over Waikiki and drive locally-owned ABC Store out of business, no need worry! The first thought that came to mind was the same first thought that came to mind when I walked into TJ Maxx in Ward - "that's it???" Lawson Station is a lot smaller than all the hype that it garnered. As such, their inventory is much smaller and limited. They do one-up ABC with respect to Japanese magazines and their grab-n-go meals. In fact, they have a really attractive selection of ready-made udon, musubis, desserts (made by Panya), and other food items. It's a good alternative to Sheraton's casual dining place - Ingredients.

We decided to walk around The Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and found Lawson Station. Lawson Station filled with more asian type foods than your typical 7-Eleven or ABC Store. Which for me is refreshing in Waikiki because it's ABC monopolized . Filled with Anpan,Saimin,Bentos and musubi's it's a great change. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lawson-station-honolulu-3?select=rB9lQMWaQsYObslARBpXSA#4Lnoa89GIqOAZZoVNlTnNQ http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lawson-station-honolulu-3?select=rB9lQMWaQsYObslARBpXSA#e64hMOqMi5Eq0t3C230fNg http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lawson-station-honolulu-3?select=rB9lQMWaQsYObslARBpXSA#9oyrQhPQ93iBftk4NnJm_w But I have to laugh because while taking pictures and if you know me..Mmmmm..Yes the beer section I feel someone tap on my shoulder...I turn around and... Haole Tourist Lady: Why are you taking pictures of the beer??? Me: (Looking at her and her hubby with the kukui nut lei on) Because you don't see Suntory,Corona,Longboard and Steinlager in cans. You only see them in bottles but being in Waikiki and maybe Lawson only it's unusual. (She must have thought I was on crack!) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lawson-station-honolulu-3?select=rB9lQMWaQsYObslARBpXSA#OhkL-mUKqPvS2nfgIS44vg Haole Tourist Lady: Oh! I didn't know that! My husband wants to drink a Japanese beer and doesn't know which one to buy?? Me:(*Thinking..Oh Boy they think I'm a beer connoisseur..I turn to the husband and ask*) What do you normally drink? Haole Hubby with the kukui lei: I like my lagers. I'm not going to tell you what I sold him on..But he was really happy and purchased a few tall cans of it. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lawson-station-honolulu-3?select=rB9lQMWaQsYObslARBpXSA#05BK8Xhti08s-5MtF5TEUw Tomorrow I'm going to quit my job and go into the liquor business!! Only Joking!! I just feel great helping out people that can't decide what to drink..lol! If your in Waikiki near The Sheraton Waikiki check it out!

It's not as good as the Japanese lawson's one it does offer touristy stuff. Not too bad for a 711 that's in Hawaii.

She is so personable and a joy to speak with. She offers inexpensive breakfast bentos featuring white or fried rice, a fried egg and pieces of Portuguese sausage, bacon or frankfurter. The meat varies. It used to sell for $3 but now costs $4.50 (I think). It's still a deal and the containers are great! (We use them to hold leftovers.) During lunch she sets up an array of entrees ... Honey Walnut shrimp, Beef with Vegetables, Meat Jun, Spicy Chicken, Choi Sum, Vegetable Pancake ... the selection varies by day and she offers two or three starches. A two-choice plate ($9.75) comes with a choice of white rice, fried rice or noodles. You have to go early; she can run out of food by 12:30pm. I usually choose one chicken dish and a vegetable with fried rice or noodles. A co-worker always gets the Honey-Walnut shrimp. It's hard to find a better deal in a plate lunch in downtown Honolulu. Her drinks are "the deal", $1.25, $1.50 and $1.75, for large, larger and humongous. Add in the personable service and you have a winner! The prices of their freshly sliced fruit are very reasonable and the portions are generous. The plastic containers are packed to the brim. Pioneer Pantry has become my go-to spot for fresh-sliced fruit. They also serve hot lunch items like spicy chicken, tofu, and noodles. There's a good variety of snacks such as chips, candy, and soda. Located at Kukui Plaza tucked away in the back, you will have to walk pass few shops, to see the handwritten sign of " Best Musubi in Hawaii" posted on the door. Although there are bentos available & other goodies, I am mostly here for the delicious musubi. Why so good? My opinion, lets start with spam, perfectly cooked, with secret sauce, love the umami taste while I took my first bite, and the rice is hot & moist, not watery & not premium rice but it is still good, along with the nori. I loved everything about this musubi. Great spam to rice ratio. The only thing that I need is some of my chili spices! Mom & Pop is super friendly, I remember asking how many musubi's they sell a day and owner mentioned they make and sell over 100 a day. I usually park quick at the loading zone of Kukui Plaza, let the security know and walk over real quick to load up on my musubi(s). Don't forget cash only! Every time I walk inside, there's a strong, unpleasant odor that smells like sewage or fecal matter. It's consistent enough that it doesn't feel like a one-off issue--it's something you notice immediately when you enter the store. At times it seems stronger in certain areas, which makes me wonder if it's coming from plumbing, floor drains, or possibly even outside air getting pulled in. What's frustrating is that this location used to feel like one of the better-run stores on the island. Now, the overall impression is very different. Even if the shelves are stocked and the staff is doing their job, the environment itself really affects the experience of shopping there. What stands out is the comparison with nearby stores like Safeway, which don't seem to have the same issue, even though they serve the same general area. That contrast makes the problem at this location even more noticeable. I hope management takes a serious look at it, because this doesn't feel like a minor cleanliness issue--it feels like an infrastructure or maintenance problem that's been left unresolved for too long. It's a shame, because the store has a lot of potential and used to be a go-to spot.
