Remember the time when people hand wrote shopping lists? And you could say you lost them? Now we have text. :(
CJ is a dive convenience store, no two ways about it. They have all the usual stuff, cookies, crackers, chips, soda, etc.. What makes this five stars for me is this...location, location, location. Located east of Maunakea St., and several blocks before the Walmart on Bethel, it's the nearest place to grab beer, wine, Tabasco, for the BYOB restaurants, west of Maunakea, that you don't plan to spend to much on the sauce. The owner is pleasant and the store if kept in reasonable order.
But, let's face it...it's a crackhead Mecca.
Back to my fable.
Remember the time when you paid $5 for a Colt 45? No you don't, cause it never happened.
Remember when you thought you were the BSD, cause you scored a couple of 40's for you and your homies, and it was malt liquor!!!
I'll give the high makamaka beer crowd a minute to get their underwear out of their crack.
Okay...
After a morning of shopping (by myself) I felt rather emasculated. There was CJ, and I knew that I had to man up. PBR was on my radar, but low and behold what do I find next to it???
You got it...Colt 45!
So, what'd you do? You take that tall boy and pop it in the freezer (no you put in the ice!). You make a huge Sammie (huge!) and eat it with one hand while the other has a death grip on that rock glass full of 45.
Then you take a nap, and you dream you're young, the BMOC, and you're a TMF. You wake and write a review on yelp. You write a review (a review!) and it's on yelp?
Come on...really? You're on yelp. Man up?
*Sniffs, spits, claws neither regions...I wrote a review on Yelp.
I'd like to thank CJ Market and G. Heileman Brewing Co. for making this review possible. Mahalo (and of course Yelp and Billy Dee Williams aka Lando Calrissian!).
Aloha ;-) read more
