They are SUPER FAST, it only took 15 minutes to do the safety check so I just walked around Manoa Market place and looked at some stores. Overall, Workers here are really nice and reliable! The name of the business tells it all. "Manoa Service Texaco." Indeed, SERVICE is appropriately its middle name. The place is run very efficiently, in a helpful and cordial manner, by Renee and Kathy. It is not a gas-and-go operation. It offers all of the services that my dealership does, along with even more. Recently, my battery died. My car was parked in my garage. I did not have jumper cables or any other means of getting my car started. The station sent someone (Travis) with a portable starter and got my car running. I went directly to the station. My car uses an unusual battery which was not in stock. I was invited to leave my car there while they ordered the battery. Travis drove me home to wait more comfortably. In a short time, they called to tell me that my car was ready for pickup. I asked whether I could pick it up later, since I did not have a ride. No problem. Travis came to pick me up and took me back to get my car. Full service indeed! I use them for all of my auto needs, including safety checks, tire replacements, fluid replacements, bulb replacements, annual tune-ups and more. read more

2 months ago I went to Texaco in Manoa & a Guy was very nice & put trans fluid in my car & even flushed it 1st* I gave him a funnel I had for the trans, I was so Happy with Him* I thought he was a mgr cus he knew so much and only charged me $8*** But THEN, I went back a month later a wmn yelled at me for walking around looking for him & yell "Get Out the Garage, they're working" cus I kept asking about the guy I didn't see asking if on lunch the MEAN Wmn came out & snapped at me & said that he didn't work there anymore & told me to go. We have always taken our cars to get serviced here. They have some quirks, like they don't always pick up the phone, and sometimes you might get a grumpy person on the line. However, they get the job done and they do it right. And for a reasonable price too. They've been good at diagnosing issues too. Only thing is that you have to leave the car there the whole day- they ask you to bring it first thing in the morning, and they work on it when they can. When I returned home after two months on the mainland, I realized that the rear cover to my light was gone. I looked around the car and there were no signs of a fender bender. The light cover was nowhere to be found. I called in and spoke with Kathy who shared that the part would cost $80 and the labor $10. I researched Amazon and found a replacement kit for $40, and asked Kathy if I purchased the part on Amazon, could I pay for them to install it? She said absolutely. When I went to order the part on Amazon, I discovered the vendor wanted $40 for shipping (would arrive in 8-10 days) and the other vendor wanted $100 for shipping. I called back Kathy and she shared that she could have the part in an hour. Sure enough, I took my car in (same day) the part was installed in ten minutes AND I got a safety check. We came here thinking we could do a safety check, and after rushing over at 3pm, we asked the mechanic about safety inspections. He was rude as hell! Gave attitude and said that they were done for the day. I almost cussed him out but refrained from doing so because there were children around. Anyway, after asking about the times that they do a safety check, he gave a very asshole answer and said that they finished today at 2pm. Don't go here for a safety check and from this experience I wouldn't come here even for gas. Asshole workers make for shitty customer service!!!! This is the last time I will ever come to this location. Love it when you pop into a place that has super friendly staff that are willing and able to help out their customers! I stopped by to ask for help, as my tire pressure light thingy went on. The super sweet gal in the booth (where you pay) said, "No worry, we can check that for you." She quickly asked someone to check all my tires and they added some air in a couple of them too. Meanwhile another worker happened to walk by eating what looked like the best pastry on the planet - she was really enjoying it. She smiled at me and I jokingly said, "Oh, that looks good - can I have a bite?" She cracked up laughing and said a customer brought them buy and then she offered me one!! I was completely joking with her and graciously declined (although whatever they were - they looked damn good!). Anyway, in the meantime my tires were all perky again and the attendant told me that she hadn't seen any nails or other problems, but noted that it was probably time for some new tires. I tried to tip her, she said "Nah, no need. Drive safely. See you next time." Aww man...I found my new spot for gas when I'm in there area. Usually put gas at this station and needed my tires filled. Asked one of the mechanics if they could help me cause I don't speak car (yes, THAT illiterate). They were super busy so thought I'd need to go back another time, nope, not even 5 minutes later Shane came to help me out. And being as I wanted to (finally) learn to do it myself, even as busy as they were, he took the time to show and explain how to do it correctly, gave me a couple tips, and even let me try to make sure I got it. Visited this service station once before a few years ago and got my safety inspection. Came here again today at a little after 7:30 am - my safety inspection was done pretty quickly. I was 2nd in line and back in my car at 8:05. Costs $26 for safety inspection only. People there were very attentive as soon as I arrived. Park off to the side and go into the little room next to the gas stations to sign in and let them know what you need. Bring registration and insurance. Service hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday, Saturday it's 7:30 to 1pm. When I called before I went, the woman who answered the phone said the first week and last week of the month are the busiest times as well as weekends. Worked out for me as it was the second week and I went on a Tuesday. Plenty of things to do in the area while you wait - McDonald's right next door, Starbucks and coffee bean not too far, you can even do grocery shopping at Safeway or eat at Manoa marketplace. read more

I came here at 7:00 am to be first in line for a safety inspection since I had let mine lapse. Having come here in the afternoon a couple days prior, I knew that they get busy. So, I gave my insurance, registration, and car keys to the receptionist and was informed I was first in line for the inspection that would begin at 7:30 am. Great, I thought, I will be out of here and on my way to work in no time! At 7:45, and for reasons no one cared to explain, I was still waiting for the inspection to begin. So I asked the cashier/receptionist when my car would be inspected. She pointed to the person who would be doing the inspection and said it should begin soon. That person, a lady whose name I cannot remember, looked at me like I was ridiculous. Her expression was not what you would expect if you had to wait an extra 15 for no good reason. She looked irritated and perplexed by my question. She had been fussing around the shop before this with no clear task at hand. As I had nothing better to do than sit there, drink my coffee, and watch what was happening around me, I saw what she had been up to but never thought she was the person that was going to do my inspection. In her defense, I did witness her get showered in praise for fixing another lady's tire. Cool, I thought, You go girl! I really didn't appreciate the attitude but needed to get this done. After the oddly rude look I got from the inspectress, she got into my car and drove away! I didn't know they did that! About five minutes later she pulled up in front of me in MY CAR -- I was sitting in a chair in front of the gas pumps -- and sat there for a few minutes. She wouldn't look at me although she was just sitting there. I waited with patience to see what her next move would be. A lady from the cash booth came out and checked that the turn signals and brake lights worked, gave the ok, and she returned back into her booth. The inspectress then exited my car, put the new sticker on the bumper, and walked into the reception area. I did not see her again. Bottom line: never again. They made me wait longer than necessary, were rude and unhelpful, and made me late for work. I've been coming to this service station for years but will not be coming back. On one of my stops for gas, I also needed air. I proceeded to the air filling station and the air hoses have been removed. Seeing that there was one at the end of a row of pumps I headed over there and proceeded to fill my tank. After I went to put air in my tires and one of the service personnel removed the air chuck. Why? The "we don't care" attitude of the staff is appalling.
